I hate to seem so self important, but I can't help but also nominating Tobee for the position of moderator of the Not the Comic section of the forums on the grounds of the fact that he would make quite the silly mod, and come on, who doesn't like a silly mod?

You know, I do like the idea of a sillier mod for the 'good cop, bad cop' kinda thing. Not sure if it'll work, but either way, I've known Tobee for a long while now. I think he'd be a nice mod, to say the least.

so are we sticking to 1 mod per forum, or will there be assistant mods for some of the forums to lighten the load a bit?

Assistant Mods? That actually sounds like a plausable Idea. It would spread the work around....

We do already have three Forum mods, so unless we're promoting all three of them I'm assuming some shared responsibility is involved

well, as I understand it, we have a few Global mods who became somewhat inactive, so it may end up that most, if not all three, of the current forum mods will be promoted.

I vote Challenger01 for the mod in "Not the Comic" section on the forum. He frequently goes on the board and I think he would be a great mod and he is on the forums a lot. He knows how the section very well.

Ceets would make a great global moderator. He just needs to come back from wherever he went/decide that he wants to post again first.

I think I should revote here. I did not know we could nominate in multiple forums. I just thought it was one new forum mod, one new global.

Although my vote for global mod is still Diss, CTCMJH would make a good global mod in my opinion. He helped me out immensely in starting the now defunct Fantasy Chat thread...

I don't think we're expressly limited in how many Forum Mods we can promote, so both could become Global Mods if they're nominated and meet Rick's approval, at least that's how I understood it.

few things: he's not as active as he once was. this is the reason we're choosing new mods in the first place. second, the fantasy chat thread still gets occasional use.

Based on who I've seen around, I'd agree with:
Dissension 'cause he was on that list I gave to Buck last time. (It was of people I thought would be good moderators based on who I'd actually assumed was a moderator without looking.)
CaptainPea 'cause he is indeed active and friendly
Teh Brawler for the same reason
Aquablast because he's a nice, unassuming, and well contributing member of the roleplaying forum.

Edit: Also, not going to assume there aren't things I don't know, but I also nominate ReCreate and Alex, because they were also on that list.

I am also totally open to the nomination for me: I could watch the RPs just fine, especially since I'm already active in a bunch of them. (I'd probably want to watch my own behavior a bit more though, as I am a notorious troll... Especially for making characters like Sid and Flash, whos only purpose is to cause trouble for other characters... Especially Kytes and Jake...)

Hope that contributes to the discussion appropriately...
