Does that mean that the mention of war or death is out of the question?

Only if it's explicit.

So then Max can't snort catnip off Grape's chest?
Didn't that comment undermine the whole "no inapropriate discussion" thing?
I'm all for inapropriate discussion  just saying
Oh, who am i kidding, that comment made my day brighter

O.O Rick is allowing discussion about the rules, wow, you really trust your readers, though I've never been on a comic forum, I've never seen a forum that doesn't lock this tread straight up O.o I actually assumed it was :D.

One suggestion, in the Flaming rule section, ad in "no racism" as that's not something that would be directed at any particular user, and technically gets around you're defined terms of Flaming... and you missed a comma right here:

"No Flaming. Do not openly attack, insult, belittle, or abuse another poster. You will be warned if this occurs."

It only looks odd because it's red, I swear XD.

Comma isn't necessary by Chicago Manual of Style standards!

Re: Forum Rules

taken straight from the Chicago Manual of Style's website in their Q&A section
Q. What is the proper comma usage in describing a series of nouns with a single adjective? For example, “This spring’s collection emphasizes sexy lingerie, blouses, skirts, and mukluks.” I am devoted to the serial comma, but should a comma be included after the third item if I want the adjective to apply to all four items? I write for an online retailer and often find myself stumped by this little conundrum.

A. If the adjective applies to all four nouns, a serial comma is harmless. The problem arises if the adjective is meant to apply only to some of the nouns. In that case, the comma is the least of your worries. To avoid ambiguity, you should put only the modified nouns after the adjective: “This spring’s collection emphasizes mukluks and sexy blouses, skirts, and lingerie.”
I believe what is being said here is that while it isn't necessarily needed, it helps to convey that what you said prior to it applies to everything in the list... and then they went into some more detail for her specific case...

original is here:
http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/CMS ... mas21.html

I'm just making certain that no one tries to argue it in any way, using infuriating technicalities... I've seen it before.

But doesn't that have to do with the adjective?

...So hey, cool, that means I can still do all those things as long as it's not openly, right?
But I kid!

Hm. I was trying to keep the "Character Dossiers" thread to a one-character-one-post setup, but it looks like that may lead to double-posting. Would that be acceptable for that thread?

Sure is. Double posting is not a terribly strict thing

But erm, is fanart exempt from the 400-500 maximum pixel width rule?

Is minor swearing ok? Like ****, because I tend to unnintentally use that word, as well as crap and ****. Just want to ask, so I don't get another warning.

no, no they are not. the last one wasn't minor.

Ok thanks. But I'm a bit surprised that the one you did not edit is ok. Because I've gotten away with saying that three lettered word, but I've gotten in trouble for saying crap. Weird right?

Dude, if you use it in the context of "hey guys look that beaver built a pretty cool dam" or "i visited such-and-such dam on the weekend" it's okay
In other contexts I think it would be considered censor evading, since people will still be able to tell the meaning, even if you skip out on the n.

As long as you edit the second to say "whoops didn't mean to double post!" or "darn it, quote != edit" you're fine. SomethingAwful's a pretty cool place so long as you hate money.

edit:

well you are not going to be killed if you use tl;dr, for example, i think it's more to not overload it.

People, seriously, stop asking if words are okay. If in doubt just don't use them, don't ask and self-censor in a way that ends up with you censor evading anyway.

Either censor the whole word or don't say it. We can't exactly give you a list, now can we?

I don't mind it as a mistake and some people say it as a joke sometimes

I'm not going to take it as my name though. Calling me it constantly is old hat and horribly annoying, and I am pretty sure people can decide what people can't call them anyway.
