it's more of a change than switch.
I'm in my mid of teen and my metabolism is extremely fast so, I had to change it often. you guys are old.
I'm afraid that last bit made no sense to me whatsoever. If you're trying to say you're a growing boy and that's a reason to have multiple fursonas... what? If not, I'm sorry. :V

Being in my mid-teen area doesn't make me switch between several fursonas. I switch between two fursonas because I've got, like House said, two distinct personalities... not that they necessarily go by different names IRL, but they're distinctive enough they probably could.

It's not even a recent development, I've been diagnosed with borderline dissociative identity disorder since I was young... I honestly remember being told it would get better over time, but I highly doubt there's been any improvement in the condition. Not that I'm complaining or anything, I personally think it's kinda hilarious that I've got two of something people should really only have one of. (and by that, I mean people don't normally have multiple, not shouldn't have multiple.) X3

I'm... kinda in the same boat as Sleet, but I don't have a cutie-mark for it. |D

I will find one though, and I will make sure it makes sense with my talent!..

Once I figure out what that is as well...

Lol, good point. It is about furries, not ponies. ^^

I myself have no idea if I am one or not. I guess maybe if your definition of a furry is very loose.

To Texascat: In a sense, I guess you're right, but as they are inspired by characters of a cartoon show that indeed puts them into a sub-culture of the fandom. A furry typically in normally a fan of fur covered anthropic characters which is divided up in to sub branches like Scalie and so on. So yes, in all technicality you're right.

To Housefox: Ah but what is said definition of a word other than a label we use to understand what a word means to a single man's ears? As the word may hold may different meanings with but one phrase. Short answer: Yeah, I'm a furry.

Bronies and furries are very similar. Since furries are enthusiasts of anthropomorphic animals and the media in which they appear, and MLP is one such medium, bronies could be considered single-target furries. But I wouldn't say all bronies could be called furries.

Likewise, having a ponysona is not limited to bronies who are also furries. I see it a lot with non-furry bronies too.

That's me. And Brent too I think. I'm 99% sure he doesn't consider himself a furry.

I'm actually kind of amazed that that I don't consider myself a furry. I have 6 webcomics that I follow, 7 if you count the fact that I sometimes read Garfield online, and they are all furry. Not arguably furry (except for maybe Garfield), but 100% can't be argued that they aren't.

And it's not that that's I'm afraid to put that label on myself. I know that being a furry doesn't mean that you do some of the stuff that people always think about when they hear the word, or anything else. It's just that I don't consider myself one.

Liking furry stuff doesn't make you a furry. Liking furry stuff because it's furry does.

My cat lays on table and stares at me.
Me: acts like cat to see how she reacts.(I sometimes act like a cat)
Mom looks at me and said. You are a cat?
Me: can I act like one?
Mom:act like human
Me ok.
About seconds later.
Me: what if I wear a fur of cat and act like one?
Mom: If I wore a cat mask I scratched you.
Me: What If I think I'm a cat?
Mom: *sigh*

These days i find it much harder to define what i like. I'm considering myself not a furry anymore since I certainly consider myself a fan of animals, but not in a furry fandom fashion. Sure, i like to see canines, foxes and dragons, but it's moreso into liking animals trying to act human or humans that behave like animals since it's just so cute and funny.

Now if we talk about human animals or animals becoming human and going for a deeper meaning, what interests me is seeing what can be described as the perfect and most interesting ways of combining both of these. Police dogs and Thief Cats are a prime example, as well as Dragons running as President >_> <_<

Indeed I am a furry (new one to be correct), eithr a wolf or ottsel, but I joined the fandom after reading the comic 'Concession' (pretty darn good, but more adult).

I might just be letting this whole furry negativity get to me. But it just grinds my gear when i associate myself with a furry likeness, it comes to me in a negative tone. At least my family doesn't see it like that. It's just the internet. Meh. *poof~poof~poof*

Oh yeah I read that. The story was great but...yeah...a little TOO adult for me...I don't think I even finished it. Ballerina Mafia is funny though, it's by the same guy (and how I found Concession).

Furries with fursona, what is reason why you choosed certian animal to be your fursona?

My fursona is cat becase I find my self like cat, I'm little introverted and like to be sneaky.
