I see. I only say that I'm good at drawing is because everyone tells me I am.
Pea... that's amazing. Amazing and creepy.

And yes, Diss, I know you didn't need that comment.
I don't draw at all. I haven't in about ten years.

How about Octopuses, they make good family petscopper wrote:chinchillas are nice, but stoats are much cooler, Psycke.
Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
But octopuses suck! That can't feel to good...
And the best pets are dogs. I believe they are the most domesticated type of pet out there. They have been bred to be that way, after all.

It's hard to name a "best", because it's all circumstantial- for example, if you live in a cramped apartment, a rat is going to be easier than a dog insofar as space.copper wrote:And the best pets are dogs. It's octopuses, octopi is also correct but octopuses is the most common. And I think it sounds better.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:yes, octopi make very good pets. especially the psychic ones.CaptainPea wrote:How about Octopuses, they make good family pets

You see, I never did know which one it was. Are you sure that's it?
And are you referring to the one that predicted those soccer matches or whatever it was?
Many small breeds. Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Small poodles, maltese, pekingese, and others...
Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Wolves are the best type of pet. Because it's just like a dog, but if people see that you own a domesticated wolf they think you're a baller!copper wrote:But octopuses suck! That can't feel to good...

I agree with this statement, but too bad you need a permit to have one where I live. or they may even be prohibited.Bino wrote:Wolves are the best type of pet. Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Funny story- apparently Whales and Dolphins are theorized to have a distant ancestor that was wolf-like. After my science teacher said that that's all I can think of when wolves come up.Bino wrote:Wolves are the best type of pet. All three of the proposed plurals are correct, but Octopuses makes the most sense in English, Octopodes makes the most sense in Greek, and Octopi has a twisty history but is mostly used because people feel weird saying "octopuses"RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:yes, I am sure
I personally think the plural of octopus should be octopus- like "fish".

Ichthyosaurus didn't look like a wolf. Do you mean behaviorally?

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
they did. i mean, yeah. but previously, they were thought to be reptiles. by recent (ok not really recent at all) consensus, it was decided they were warm blooded, and had a four-chambered heart, and put iffy-ly under mammals.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Mammals and Dinosaurs actually co existed for a short time before The Mass Extinction Event or whatever. They were small, but mammals were there. And Dinosaurs were very bird like. Many had feathers in the late cretacious period, at least.
Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Most dinosaurs were reptiles.
the main qualifications for being a mammal are nursing young using a mammary gland and having fur, neither of which the dinosaurs (or at least not the majority) did
