So what are you going to do for Thanksgiving? (2010)

Post by dalonewolf25 »

I know that all parts of the world celebrates Thanksgiving, but some people usually have certain interesting ideas they would like to try out. Give out your opinions! If you'd like to debate about whether Thanksgiving is worth it, go for it! Share us your plans for Thanksgiving, if any. It'll surely entertain us all! E|;D

I'll go first:
Every year, my extended family that lives in the area visit one house, or we separate into different places, and share food just because it's one of those days that we're actually capable of meeting together besides Christmas and New Years Eve. We don't celebrate the holiday traditionally, we just share food, talk a little bit to each other, play music, place the video game consoles for the children (and me) to play with, and we have a good time.

There. I've shared my story, now what's yours?

I'll bite. I was originally having a small meal with my mom, but my work schedule changed today and I'll probably be working... when nobody needs to call in or have tech support... and on Black Friday. *laughs hysterically*

Little early there.

I eat less on Thanksgiving than on a normal day because I think turkey is disgusting- and it's not just that my family can't cook, I mean all turkey. And it is Thanksgiving, so turkey is the obligatory main dish.

I'll be working all of turkey day. When I get home I will pass out until about 3:30-4:00 a.m. and then go to the black friday sales and get all of my christmas shopping done. Then I will go to work and spend the rest of the day there, before going home and passing out again. What a wonderful couple of days I have ahead of me!

I'll be home with my family eating dinner. Though I don't really care about the dinner itself because I'm not a big fan of much of the typical Thanksgiving food.

All I'll usually eat is turkey and mashed potatoes, I don't like much else in the normal Thanksgiving dinner.

For the first time in my life, my mother is not going to go celebrate Thanksgiving with family, which means that neither am I! I'm so glad.

So I'll be doing nothing for Thanksgiving.

With my family, Thanks giving is always a gayla event. this year we are heading to florida to see my cousin. Once there, I will entertain the family by unvailing the newest invention that my father and I have been working on, and if all goes well by the end of the meal we should have another mony making patend under our belts. :D

I can only hope that we don't have anoter electrical explosion like last month. That one caust me the feeling in my left arm for about a week, but i got it all back now.

Well, from what I've heard, I'm going over to my grandmothers' (whom we often call "Bubbie") on my mother's side to celebrate. At the same time, if my package gets here before Thursday, I'll be hugging and squeezing my first Kirby plush. Hey! I may be a guy, but I'm also young at heart at times! Usually involving Kirby.

Oh, and I'll also be celebrating my birthday (*coughtwentythirdcough*).

Let's see.

Go home for a day.

Take about an hour drive out to where the Family's thanksgiving is this year. (Yeah, they plan it, we all meet up.)
Eat and hang out with relatives that I don't really know, and of course get asked random questions about how college is going. Probably play multiplayer Wii games with my cousins because I'm not bringing my laptop!

Go home, and pack for a two-day trip to visit my grandparents. Probably going to be working for those two days that I'm there.

Arrive home, then immediately drive back to college and arrive at 1 AM. Sleep. Then classes in the afternoon.

Pretty good, if you ask me.
