This could lead to some mean comments from the chickens who read this comic Rick...

Hoora, Halloween is finally here!

Cool, an arc centered around the cats! I mean, most of my favorite characters are dogs, but it's good to see the two getting more equal treatment.

And I totally did not see the last panel coming. I thought it was pretty awesome.

Max's facial expressions are awesome.
I need to get a Max fan userbar.

I saw the last panel coming though. Made me chuckle though.

Yes! Cat arc! <3 I'm already anxious.

Despite the nice behavior Max has been putting on also, i had a feeling Max had to have a braggy side to him.

I always saw him as some sort of a Jerk, but not so much as Bino. Also braggy.

Max is epic now, Apparently.

I want a Max fan userbar but using his face at panel 3. That'd be sweet.

This is a likely story.
And Peanut wears his sweater the whole time.

On Halloween night, late in the evening, you go out into the middle of a pumpkin patch and you wait. You listen to the sound of the wind as it whistles around the pumpkins, fill your lungs with their pumpkiny scent, and feel the chill of the night air upon your skin.

And you wait.

You make yourself comfortable as the minutes tick by, not just sitting in the pumpkin patch, but becoming one with it, feeling the vines as they stretch out beneath your fingertips, coiling across and weaving through the soil like long, green snakes.

And you wait.

You look up at the sky and watch as clouds drift across the face of the full moon, casting long shadows upon the field below.

And then, at the stroke of midnight, The Destroyer comes.

The whistling wind ratchets up to a howl, and the pale light of the moon above darkens to a bloody red. He arrives in a tornado of flame, his very presence leaving a blighted scorch upon the earth he touches. His body is that of a living, writhing plant, all tentacles and creeping vine-fingers, while his head is a massive, grotesque Jack-O-Lantern, carved with a sneering, laughing, taunting face. Flames dance behind his menacing eyes and within his broad, grinning mouth, his hideous visage glowing with their light. With a wave of what passes for his hand, he summons his infernal, pumpkin-headed minions, who screech and cackle and gibber to each other in some blasphemous tongue as they dance inside the six-sided ring of fire. And the ground trembles, and the sky burns, and the angels weep at his coming.

... at least, that's what's supposed to happen.

This arc looks good already! Max really seems like the bino of the cats in this comic. I hope he gets a good scare, or something just as cliched, anyway.
