How do we know she communicates with the dead? I only remember her referring to "the spirits"--that doesn't necessarily mean the dead.... :?

Well, I thought that was the general gist of the Spirit world. Then again she hasn't used a wee-gee board.

And good point about the cost. $80 bucks a card *grumbles*

King in the last panel is my favorire so far. I keep forgetting that pete is huge and can squash king O_o . I hope tarot comes so they both can finally meet. Also, nice job making this comic on friday so we have to wait longer to find out what happens, Rick.

You know Lycanthromancer brought this up in the comment section. Since Tarot went into the woods what if Pete's not really there and its just Tarot using her powers to fool King? (Why she would be doing this I have no idea but its an interesting possibility)

Tarot wouldn't have known that King was suppose to stay home, so that doesn't make sense.

That's abuse of power, not use of power. Abusing her physic ability like in that comic is not allowed. However, normal use or catching a stray thought is not beyond her, I'd think.

Ha both evidence is on the Third Panel I find that funny. Neko I think she meant that she would only do it with Peanut because she likes/trusts him or something not that she couldn't read other peoples minds and get info

But she did that with King/Joel when she found out he's human anyway it implies that she won't or at least finds it distasteful to do so not that she can't

I guess that could be true but how else could she have known. And anyway my point still stands it doesn't imply she can't only that she doesn't like to.

*sigh* Poor King, whether it's really Pete or Tarot playing a mean jump-out-of-your-skin prank on him to get him to leave her alone.

Man, wish I could live in their neighborhood and be someone's cute lil raccoon housepet..

Sorry, to quote Poco, 'I've been drinking now, just a little too much..' Just got done hand-feeding my new 4 week old kittens, Zachary and Temperance, and got to missing my kitty, smokey, who died last week, and junk.

anyhow, I'll try and get some decent pictures of the kitties and post 'em up so people can see if they like.

Kinda do wana drop-kick their momma for abandoning them, though.

Or Jamie Hyneman. xD

But yeah, I can imagine King's drunken answer: "Trust me, I do regret disobeying you, if only because I never realized how intoxicating orange soda was. I ended up acting like a complete tool."

Oo, at this rate, King will BE the fireworks.

Rick hinted early on that the arc would go on till (at least) the 4th of July.
I expect something ridiculous next page and possibly something to wrap it up on Wednesday =P.

I don't think Tarot is using her mental projection to scare King.

What I do wondet about is wether Pete was in the woods on his own business or to find King. I think Pete wanted King to stay home so he wouldn't meet Tarot.

Also, "*hic* I'm sorry!" Drunk King yelling into the woods made my day.

I find it fascinating when writers first introduce a character just to further the plot and have no intention on continuing with said character, but then something happens and the writer decides to keep said character a bit longer. I'm glad Tarot stayed then. Good idea on your part, Rick.

I love how a similar approach was taken with Ben on LOST. He was supposed to be killed off a few episodes after he was introduced!
That's nothing! The Joker was going to be a one-time Batman villain, and they actually tried to kill him off, but he was brought back by popular demand.
*sigh* Poor King, whether it's really Pete or Tarot playing a mean jump-out-of-your-skin prank on him to get him to leave her alone.
I don't think she's angry at him. She was very matter-of-fact when she said she wouldn't date him, and also if she was close enough to create a fake Pete, she'd be close enough to hear King trying to apologise. I don't think she's at all the kind to hold a grudge.

Assuming King isn't still laying unconscious on the floor of Pete's house, I think it's likely Pete didn't want King to go because of Tarot.

Busted!

Now I am curious. See, it makes sense to me that Pete would deliberately reduce his actions around King because King is supposed to be learning a lesson relative to being a pet, a lesson which would get effectively shattered if he were experiencing a "tainted" situation (tainted by Pete using non-human powers and etc).

But what seems odd is, why is he now apparently no longer using such restraints?

I am somewhat worried.

Worst case scenario is that Pete gives up on King/Joel and turns him back and leaves him to his own devices and we never see him again... er, I think.
