Hes not calling out shippers just like in the last comic with Peanut and Grape hes calling out writers and artist that pointlessly put romance into their comics.
Edit: It looks like I am the Page King (yay for me)

Wow, Spot is actually right in this comic. Of course I like the romance in HP, but I like all the other stuff, too. I believe that there are people who read this comic just because of the romance, and there are comics that are just about romance, which is sucky and gets boring fast.

If there was a comic entirely about number 3

Well actually I'd probably read it.

That makes sense. Romances with out plots can usually turn a person off after a while. Bitter sweet candy bowl seems to put a balance between the romances and other plots. (Darn it, sorry about the double post, I was trying to fix something).

I would think people would have understood that a lot more. I mean everyone here thrives off of the romance between the characters here. And random...cuteness. *twitch*

It would be pretty hard to thrive off romance when Spot McCloud has his own arc...
so It seems that some of us wont be survivng this week. *sniff*

And group three is great, but I dont understand group one.

That is true comrade, but consider the times when something romantic or something close to that happened in the comic and everyone and I mean EVERYONE went nuts over it. Like when Grape kissed Peanut. Anything that looks like it my lead to something, always puts us into a frenzy of crazy.

One of the commentators on the page said, "Are you finally done with Peanut’s poorly drawn comics? Cuz this is getting annoying with all the bad art and text, ya know"…

Oh come on, there are penalty of comics like that you know. Just because its poorly done doesn't mean its doesn't have good plots and bad story telling.

xkcd is the most viewed comic of all times I think.
Count what you got, not what you don't.

It might just be me, but I don't think that explains it very well. I'm more inclined to put them in these perspectives, based on my own understanding:
1. Classicists focus on the beauty of the old world, and any historical situations that uphold some form of overcoming obstacles and encouraging chivalry. A couple of genres that would fit would be fantasy, and historically set romance novels.
2. Animists focus on the beauty of the human condition (which still applies to anthro works, considering the animals are given a human-esque perspective), and the emotions we experience. Genres that would fit: modern setting romance novels, horror stories, and any bildungsroman stories.
3. Formalists focus on the effects discovery and science have on society and our own perception. Genres that would fit: Science Fiction, historical fiction.
4. Iconoclasts focus on how human perception can be used to change society and the values widely held, or one's own interaction with others. Genres that would fit: War stories, civil rights stories, and psychologically focused stories.

Well I was just saying its more of a correct explanation then anything I or other people have given before. I didn't mean to seem like it was the best way to explain it or anything.

No, it's fine, I didn't mean that it was a bad way to explain it, it was just hard to understand, in my opinion. It did help, though, so thank you for linking it. :D

Five and a half even!

Infinite panels are one of my favorite things about webcomics over print comics, but they are often too abused. On the other side of the coin, a lot of print comic writers don't even make use of the space they have, and just print the same layout day after day.
