King's last name is legally Milton [Source], so it's likely the wolfs are technically Miltons as well because they're fellow members of the Equal Chance Program. To get the ECP up and running the ferrets had to use every pet ownership loophole in existence. The wolfs will have Milton as their last name for the same reason Peanut has Sandwich as his last name.
