Max, of course, is no such good guest,

It’s better to think the cat a real pest
who brings chaos wherever he stays.
He’s not even told Grape he’s OK
(although she seems fine without him)
If he doesn’t move fast she’ll give up
and then his romance changes are grim.

When someone says "you'll have to wait it out", they don't normally mean "wait forty to fifty years until you die". Fortunately though, the way Cerberus says "see you on the other end" makes me think Breel will have no trouble getting back into heaven. You would think as the owners of the mansion they would have invested in shower drains that don't get clogged with hair; the ferrets do have more hair then your average multi-billionaire.

He is still there because he deserves it!

A few options here:

A) Keene has multiple bathrooms connected to this room and
Max came out of the one he wasn't in

B) Max got in and out of the shower during the course of this conversation

C)Max was in a distant bathroom and walked through the mansion in nothing but a towel while brushing his teeth to find Keene and report a clogged shower drain

Breel's tears in this strip almost made me cry.

Also, I love how two of Cerb's heads are apparently OK with this, while the centre one is, like, "Meh, I'll never get my heads around these mortals..."

I am going to guess he is in pain. The tears do not feel happy, ya know? We don't know how he died, so what if it was from illness or something genetic? What if he goes down the same path that he doesn't remember?

I will feel better when he is not hunched over or leaving with tears.

This is a heartwarming page. I hope Breel doesn't regret his decision. Between Heaven, Hell, and the material world (twice!), he's certainly run the gamut!

Pretty typical of Cerberus, dood. They always have that exact distribution of predisposition. Not sure if they have a particular label for each head, though. ^^;

Also, considering Breel isn't choking yet, we can safely say he's at least gotten his breathing in check (for now anyway). Now to all the other instinctual habits, and the not-so instinctual habits.

Is Breel of Asian origin? His respectful bowing and nodding seems to indicate so. Also, he mentioned the Transcontinental Railway, seemingly indicating he may have been a Chinese Coolie. (also spelled koelie, kuli, cooli, cooly and quli [according to Wikipedia])

If this had ever been mentioned, I don't remember it.

Showers and drains go back to the ancient world. China had toothbrushes in the 1400s. The first mass-produced toothbrush in the West was 1780, which means there were bespoke ones before that.

I don't remember an Asian connection with Breel. I sorta assumed the "mortallization" process involves a cascade of sensations as you became physical again, which accounts for the "bowing" (or, more likely, clutching his forming innards).

Now that this part of the Epilogue is wrapping, who else is left that we haven't seen yet? Fox and Mungo, right? Plus, those other three Angels too.

Breel is shaping up to be one of the cutest characters in the comic IMO.

Just realized that Keene just had a shower. Did Max use it after him and clog it? How much fur did he shed? AND HOW HANDSOME DOES THAT MAKE HIM?!?

He's a Eurasian Pine Martin. Rick confirmed this on a certain popular furry site when he posted those HP characters morphed into his 'regular' style.

The bowing could just be a mannerism that he adopts whenever he's overcome by emotion. And Breel is an emotional guy indeed.

Keene and Breel, HP's new power couple. That's awesome. I don't think we've seen this intensity between two characters since King fell for Bailey.

Breel has done his important choice, Cerberus, you can go now, and thank you. These two are so cute together! Eheh, yeah, there's still an intruder in your mansion. Has been enough, Maxwell, you need to leave the place for Breel. But, unblock the drain and change the toothbrush before go.

Well, out of 118 listed characters, Breel is #32 in appearances, placing him below Cerberus and above Duchess.
