LOL! This is awesome. Two funny things happening in the same strip at the same time. Double the fun! I think this is my favorite of the one-shots this week. Thanks for the laugh Rick!

You, too? Neat!
You know, I thought dolphin was illegal, but I may be mistaking that for shark.
Well, it's not illegal to eat a dolphin as far as I know. Well, maybe the Ganges River Dolphin since it's endangered, but bottlenosed are culled and slaughtered in Japan at Taiji Cove. Now it *IS* illegal to serve dolphin and claim it's tuna. Shark is the same way. It's not illegal to eat them across the board. There are some endangered species that you should not catch, but Mako and Blacktip are considered fine.

Hey look! It's a new addition to the family!

Hmm...what to name it...

It is...
Max+Grape Jelly...

*looks at sandwich* (the sandwich sandwich; not the Sandwich sandwich)
*there is no label*
*confused*

It is...
*sniffs*
*still unsure*

it is green...
I know...Mint Sandwich!

Or Salad, A.K.A Sally. Though that certainly doesn't look like a Salad Sandwich. =P

"Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!

"Wa-wa-way-do
Wub-wid-bid-dum-way-do

I'm pretty sure Karishad just tickled Tarot's pads, which would enrage most of the dogs I've known.

Or maybe they're just playing 'Hide and Seek' and Peanut is 'It'.

Yup, I'm guessing Max gave her the sandwich, made that question and then looked at Peanut after her response because a Sandwich eating a sandwich would be like eat her own brother (also, a cat eating a dog). Although that was only in his mind while Grape thought he spiced up the sandwich.

Karishad, on the other hand, probably told Tarot something about her being a Sandwich. Tarot asked if that has something to do with being in a relationship with Peanut (whose last name is Sandwich) and then Kari pointed out the sand container below her and there's the joke. Peanut just facepalmed because of the terrible pun.

And welcome to the forum Mr. anonymous coyote.. :D

Huh, learn something new everyday. Not sure why they would claim it's tuna, though, is there a reason for it? Or is it to better sell it, like how dolphin-fish is marketed as mahi-mahi, even though it's not dolphin at all?

It's a "That 70's Show" joke. The characters would often smoke cannabis, and while under the effects (a few times when they were sober, too) they would sit around in a circle and discuss whatever was going on. One episode introduced "special brownies" which had cannabis baked right into it, which turned out a bad idea since their parents got a hold of them. Odd seeing the parents in their own circle, really.

Yeah, that's about it.

Alright, I haven't got the sense of the joke and the dialog doesn't sound that weird... BTW, Max and Grape are really cute here. :D
Is Karishad tickling Tarot's paw? What Karishad does in that above draw should be the same, and to both... He suriously likes to make jokes. :P And Peanut stays there not watching what happens? Maybe they're now playing hide and seek? Wondering what Karishad and Tarot do as friends when they are together (uhm...).
Saturn381 wrote:I wonder what Karishad said that made Tarot chase him. Also, Grape, I think it's best not to ask any questions.
When there's Karishad's hand (or paw, it's your choice), almost there's no reply to questions.

Maybe Tarot isn't chasing Karishad because of something he did do, but because of something he will do.

And thus begins a reboot of the dropped arc, albeit mostly implied to avoid getting away from the strip's intended feel. Maybe it'd be something that goes on at the same time as another arc and is seen in the background of it.
