It's probably the simplicity of it, but I love the middle two panels on the top row.
Peanut, explaining the cryptic riddle near the end is usually a good way of getting suspicion thrown on you.

His end seems to fit the game at a glance
and his foot's trying to escape into space.
The two remaining fight for the gun
and question the loose rhyming schemes.

The doctor, Marvin's character, is lying dead, it was no more a news. Seems that we won't see the "horrible" death of Fido's character, better so.
Grape, it's just your fault if you don't know what those names stand for, but with that explaining, Peanut, you've put yourself in big troubles and the penultimate rhyme is gonna be made... No, definitely this isn't the Grapenut moment we would see.
