If it wasn't for the name tags and possibly the height difference, you could easily mistake Bino for Joey. =3

That is actual orange soda. Meaning they could possibly end up doing this whole thing intoxicated.

I like where this is going already.

I've never read this story before but I already feel like this has likely been parodied/adapted in TV shows and what not a lot.

No idea what is going on, but that should make things even more fun. Liking the drawings on their hats, too.

And so the gang assembles
on this strange and mysterious Isle
Now we need to see who dies
and who's wearing the fake smile.
The hats – do they resemble the fates
of those who sup at the free orange soda?
If so, and if King is to be seen here,
I hope he's now a better drinks Holder
or he shall be the first on the floor.
The truth of this strange, tiny, island
is one of death, lies and dishonour.
Ten arrive. Who leaves? None planned.
Ten Furry Indians, sitting down to dinner
They do not know their numbers will be thinner.

I love how the numbers give away the order. This will be a fun retelling of a classic indeed!

Max is quite astute. I do say, we all deserve a drink, in honor of Mr. Griffin!

I am ready to see the others! Bring on all the numbers!

I wonder if King is hosting?

With the alt-text and all the Orange Soda it'd make sense for him to be 'under the table' already.

Indian island is part of an archipielago, along with Rest-of-the-body island, Tomahawk island and Muddy-and-easy-to-trip-over-ground island.

Anyone else knows another spoof of this story?

I am enjoying my curiosity on what would happen subsequently to that, and may continue to, whether it happens in any form or not.

Are the black backgrounds actually present as something in-strip, or are they only visible to the silent (or commenting) audience?

I am intrigued by the numbers and drawings on the bag hats. I have read the comments and see others commenting the number and drawings on the hats PROBABLY have some meaning to the story. I am new to reading HousePets. If it would not spoil the surprise, I would like to know what these hat notations mean and how to interpret them. Are they a running gag? Does each hat symbol relate to the character wearing it? Or is this random? Even a hint would welcomed.

Thank much

The paper bag hats in Imaginate arcs have thus far been used to indicate who is playing which character. Previously this had been with written names or abbreviations, though this time the numbers and images seem to be more relevant to the story being parodied. Their significance will likely be revealed later, and I won't spoil it, in case you haven't read the book.
