"You must be making cash hand over fist," a statement which implies one has two hands.
Thanks. Expected something with two hands, but didn't know all sayings.

Reminds me of that pic floating around the web of a man who tattooed a shark on his stub. You gotta love someone who's still light-hearted about something like an amputation.

I'm kinda curious to know how Jack lost that arm. It'd probably make a good story.

What I want to know is if that NES belongs to Peanut already. Didn't he have one in his bedroom, in the "nothing to do" one-off? I know he had some system, the Mouse Trap board game, as well as many books and toys, but I never could quite figure out what the system was supposed to be.

As far as I can see, there is a DS, a WII and a DVD player in Peanut's room in this one.

Personally, I think he means he went to an actual garage sale, and literally picked it up. Garage-lifting if you will. But that might just be me and my love for puns. *shrug*

I think he either lost it in an accident or he got such bad frostbite one day that it just fell off. (Possibly in that huge snowstorm?)

Either way it's not very PG of Rick to do that in the comic.

But maybe in a chraracter guide? Some of those have little anecdotes from the character's lives, maybe Rick could use that as Jack's. Oh, and also, he should explain why Daisy can only greet others and not say anything else.

Well, I'm pretty sure Daisy is making fun of Daisy from Mario Kart.

jokes about people without arms, always funny. (In all seriousness, it's the twists that give the humour...Rick's made the best twist I've ever seen to this joke :P )

at least Peanut tried to correct himself. And I'm curious as to how he lost that arm, was it an accident or a 'discount' gone wrong.

It's always possible Jack lost his arm while the pack was living in the wild. There, it could be anything.

You just reminded me of this dead collaboration me and Regidar (for those who aren't in the know, he's FIMFiction's top commenter and a really funny guy) were doing a long time ago. It was called B.R.O.N.I.E.S. and it was about a secret agency of bronies that was supposed to take down a rival organization dedicated to defeating all le bronies.
An incident involving three-hundred baby squid and a packet of ramen noodles nearly destroyed the society of bronies that B.R.O.N.I.E.S worked so hard to build.
Pure win.

I'm assuming both of those were supposed to be noodle incidents so it's not so weird that it reminded you of it.

Well I doubt that the Calvin and Hobbes fans didn't give the noodle incident any thought, and I seriously doubt that they didn't even attempt to think of a possible explanation of the noodle incident. Speculation isn't illegal, after all...

Edit: I failed at le commenting. Yay, I'm defensive yet again... :l Sorry Brent.

Uh-oh he found a NES, Guess we won't see Peanut for a few months? I suppose old school Nintendo has a way of consuming peoples spare time.
As long as he doesn't have to keep on going through the painful task of blowing/holding cartridges down in his machine to play them. Which I'm sure he will. =P
Not if he also buys a new connector from Jack. With all that junk, I'm sure he has one lying around somewhere.

Also, I wanna touch the stub too!

Why did Rick, I mean, uhm, Jack, call it a stub! It's a scar without any arm portion left.

I cannot tell you how many times I have seen an amputee and wanted to ask that question....

Poor Peanut. Jack is not helping with that face! Anyone would be put down by that face!

I like those little surprised triangles in the second panel. Not necessary, but a nice addition. :D

Man, I completely forgot an important aspect of yesterday's comic: Peanut wants to help Jack.

I can see this being a recurring thing for Peanut in the future.

I know, but I mean helping Jack sell his material. I could see, for example, Tarot coming by to check things out and warning people about where Jack gets his stuff from, only to be downright terrified of seeing Peanut selling a black crystal ball.

CRYSTAL BALL OF DOOM

It was used to seal away some ancient and terrible beast.

Have King and Peanut ever really had any interaction at all outside of crowd scenes and possibly All The King's Men?
Nope, King and Peanut don't seem to have met "on camera" at all. Peanut's only interaction with King seems to have been Grape trying to convince Peanut that there was something suspicious about Pete:
