_Stu_ wrote:Taste is legit, is anyone's right... but i mean, King's big eyes can be an author decision as they can be something else (a mistake, the author was in hurry or had real life problems etc)

There's a good difference between "unfortunately i don't like it, still prefer the previous one" and "now King looks awful"
I guess you're right about that. Also disliking the art is no reason to offend the artist himself. And I guess I can't complain much either since my best drawing are with sticks and they still look awful. XD
I think we should just focus on the story for now on.

I think they look more childish now, and I'm not sure how I feel about that yet.

Getting away from how it's drawn though, I have a theory: the full gravity of the "dog in a human world" is finally hitting King, and he doesn't like it. Pete's promise was that he'd equalize man and animal, which is probably what King's about to want more than he wants to turn back into a human, seeing as his entire entry into the situation was that he wanted to help animals. Pete said that King doesn't have to LIKE being his avatar, just accept him and work towards his goals. It was also heavily implied that Pete had something to do with Baily's situation, so he could have planned this whole thing from the beginning so that King would learn that he wants to equalize man and animal, and that he'd realize that he's willing to work with Pete to this end. Who knows, maybe he'll even forgive Pete once he sees the opportunity he's been given...

Clever scheme Pete. I wonder if he reads Yudkowsky...

I apologize if any of my comments came off as overly nitpick-y, Rick; I wasn't around the forums yet for any of the previous major style changes (I don't think anyway), and this is the first time (again, as far as I know) that you've announced that you're working on an entirely new style. So I figured that helping you iron out certain details might be something you were looking for viewer input on.

Didn't want to sound like a critic. Just wanted to give a little constructive feedback.

problems with this line of thoughts:

Pete had intended King to stay a dog. King was given a choice to change back to human because Pete had forced the transformation vand violating Joel's free arbiter.
The purpose of the Dark Paladin is to defeat the followers of the Spirit Dragon. Keene made it clear when he talked with Sabrina. True, Sabrina made it clear that it must not be escalated to some war, but apparently King is supposed to defeat Tarot.
Pete is not exactly fond of the 'animal-human equality' idea. He just went into it because the alternative was to spend more time into the temple. He may try to get some advantages working on it, but still the purpose of the Game seems different than the equality's goals.
Pete doesn't want to make King happy, he wants him angry. If he really did buy the farm (and there is apparently no indication in the comic that it happened, only fanspeculations), it was to give King the illusion of happiness before making it so that it's snatched away from him.
At this point, how could the Gryphon get his avatar back? Yes, King should ask Pete to help him to get Bailey back again, I personally don't see other options. And this implies that King might decide to stay a dog and build a life with Bailey. At the cost of serving Pete once again...

They look younger to em rather than childish, which is good in my opinion. When I first saw Fox, I thought he might be an old man!

As for the thought of the Game, I am awaiting the story. I am going to forego it in order to enjoy the story as it unfolds

wow, Miles sure looks different in the new style. big body, small head. so more like a body builder.

the perspective shot on the 4th panel looks a little awkward to me, but I can't tell exactly why.

I like the new look of Miles. It makes him look less like just another dog.

Yeah what is up with the dots on that wall? Is it just part of the art style?

I just realized. I guess the deer carcass thing is still a regular occurrence, cause King wasn't even a dog until after that first party.

Oh, I thought those were supposed to be flies around the carcasses!

Miles looks older to me here. Quite distinguished... also Poncho. He is there.

Also, we are finally getting a full view of the Wolf House, yay!

Lucretia's latest recipes involve setting a forest to fire.
And a LOT of BBQ sauce

Reading all of Panel 3 ~ I cannot think of Miles as anything else now as the voice of Beast from the X-men, George Buza X3

or Kelsey Grammer, Beast in the X-Men: the Last Stand (and other smart characters with large vocabularies). they both work.
