This update schedule has totally spoiled me. I'm not used to reading a comic that actually updates more than once a week.

Hehe, tis a great thing though, right? |3

I love today's strip... I'm going to deem this type of response the "Peanut" for each of its uses outside and inside of Housepets now. x3;;

I find it funny that the guard at the zoo knew Grape was female but at first neither Peanut (who lives with Grape) or Max (a fellow cat) knew Grape was a girl.. >D

I guess it's subjective to culture....

That is, Humans immediately search for physical gender because it defines roles within their society while pets don't care for it because everyone can have fun either way. It must be great to live without being defined by your sex but by your actions and personality. |3

... Well, until the Peanut moment happens.~

I agree with that. Life should be like that, let your actions and personality define who you are and just... try to take the Peanut moments in stride.

So does this mean the "Yarn Ball" arc is slated to run through the new year?

I'm pretty sure that the Christmas arc will be the primary one for the near future, but the Yarn Ball will probably be featured as well.

I could be wrong, though. xD

Heh, I think it'd be funny if Grape and Peanut peeked through the window at Rex's and saw him skipping, singing, and baking cookies. Hey they watched Fido and Sabrina after all.

That may not end well for them XD Either way I think that might be a bit repetitive and it's just not right to have them be all-knowing :P

See there's a difference between all knowing, and being at the right place at the right time. Peanut and Grape were there for the Fido and Sabrina incident, and they were oh so close to being there for the skipping, singing, cookie baking Rex incident.

And in other news,

Captain Falcon uses Falcon Bucket against Fox. OHKO, Captain Falcon wins. Flawless Victory.

It seems like we're getting a lot of cameos from the less frequently seen characters. Who'll be next, eh? Sasha? Joey? Will Fido make an appearance? It could even be Tiger and Poom! x3

Tiger and Poom!!! Seems like Grape's never met Tiger, poor him, I'm sure Grape'll make him feel welcome and hopefully invite him to the Yarn Ball? Here's hoping ^^

AND WE NEED MORE CATS.

Seriously, as much as a dog fan as I am, all we've seen so far is Grape(Whom I love), Max, Marvin, Sabrina(Ooh), and...thats about all I can come up with. I hope the Yarn Ball brings more cats into the mix!

Although he wouldn't want to due to his fear of being called out I think Peanut should go with her. Just sorta "Well I'll go if you don't have another date."

Ah, but Peanut has not yet come to terms that he's a cat lover.

He needs to come out of the closet, in a sense.

Oh and by the way, Merry christmas to you all, and to you as well Rick.

Tops work Rick.

...Also, did anyone expect Fox's fur colour? Not what I expected. (Yes, I know the one on the left was his cousin, I am talking about the one on the right.)

Panel 6 is so typical and so sad. "I love you, daddy." But, does "daddy" care? Will he never show he cares until the poor dog is next to being gone forever from his life?

Plot Bunny ^.^

Yeah, that would be nice. Something for all those poor pups tied up in backyards all over, never allowed inside or given much attention once the novelty of the kids fuzzy lifelike toy has worn off.

So is Max missing a chunk from his ear or not? It appears inconsistently in other strips, and here, it doesn't appear at all.
