While King/Joel arcs seem to be a close priority next to Peaunt/Grape content in terms of how much we get it, i do like them since they are the stories that are more indepth and usually tie in evreyone, not just King/Joel. And i rather Rick just use his best ideas when he can than never use them; Just as long as he realizes when he's going overboard (which he hasn't done yet =P)

Also, it gives more 'What it's like to be a dog' humor, which i actually think is awesome.

"Purebred papers?"

King's in a real pickle now. I wonder if Bailey's going to show up unannounced?

I would love to see this, but like a Pridelands spin-off it seems unlikely.

I'm sad now.

But one has to wonder if this will really be a King's arc (I really hope it is, by the way). I mean, if King says "I don't have purebred papers", maybe dutchess will jump to another dog until she finds one who has the papers.
But I hope Pete left something like that to King so he can stay in this arc.

I agree with some people. I foresee this having a lot of misunderstandings in store. What might happen is there'll be a big prestigeous prize for the king and queen (cash, cars, anything) but the stipulation is everyone must think that they're actually a couple.

Is Duchess really doing this for the money, because it seems she's just doing it for the prestige of being crowned Queen.

Who would do that to a dog? Especially a breed with short legs unsuited to large leaps? Pete you evil &%#$#!

It's a paying gig. But is it really worth it, King? She does not love you.

who isn't a sellout.
I'm sure he made that leap. Pete probably made sure of it. it was just psychological torture. ^_^

Funny how the dog with psychological damage will spring into it again at the mere mention of money.

Of course it is, money is always money and it doesn't really matter if she doesn't love him since they already established they will only attend to win the competition. It's just a valentine's day event, not a wedding.

Because no one has said this, as far as I know, here's a thought that occured to me as a possible out-playing of this arc:
- King and Duchess go as a couple
- Sasha and Bino go as a couple
- Duchess and Bino (who started winning them all after that rule was made) use dirty tactics against each other.
- Sasha and King leave their "partners", because they don't like the way they act.
- Sasha and King end up as a "couple". (no, I'm not directly shipping them)
- As for the pageant, Daisy wins. I mean, duh.

but Daisy and who? DAISY AND TIGER!!! the ship I made in passing and don't really care about becomes canon and my fan fic makes more sense.

Crazy Stupid Love all the way. *shot*

See, that would actually make sense by the logic I used with Daisy: she's often used as a toss in, like when she won the money in Money Sharks, and she hasn't shown up since Dog Days of Summer.

Why does he keep his papers under his bed? Doesn't seem like a safe place...

Pete just loves to mess with King's head. Well, at least King is okay.

I like how Rick had to post something about Duchess' contours. I just find it funny.

Oh please, King was Joel. I can fully understand the money motivation. Makes perfect sense

I wonder who else will be in this show really. Bino and Sasha for sure. Fox and another Female dog we haven't seen is possible, and clearly some new female and male dogs. I doubt that Peanut and Tarot will be in it, neither of them seem like the type to care about something like this; though its not impossible. If its open to cats (as its not been said if its dog only or not) maybe Grape and Max.

Edit: Joey and Squeak as a surprise entry  (only semi serious there)

You know, I just noticed the Kitsune Statue is what Duchess is staring at. I was confused for a while there. I can be really dense sometimes.

I want to see what King's Good collar looks like.

I would assume he has it because either he can't get rid of it because of Magic or as some kind of reminder to himself about whats actually going on in his life.

I'd at least find some way to not have a golden statue of a nine-tailed fox with the words "or was it?" out in the open.

Really I wouldn't be surprised if hes tried and it just keeps showing up again and again each time and King just stopped trying to get rid of it.
