 Re: Arc 50: Housepets Babies!
Hmm, that actually makes sense. I haven't thought about it I don't think so. Despite that puppy Fox was the bossy one and was ordering him, they are friends and that haven't changed till King showed up. More like Max has something to do with this since he said he deserved it. And his grin also implies something.

 Re: Arc 50: Housepets Babies!
I'm feeling let down already.. Fox's second pet-napping, an rescue was a whole arc. an i fear his first one is only going to be a panel or two in length.

You want a full Fox arc? I'm sure that'll happen eventually. It all comes down to when Rick has a good idea for one.

Fox is just one character, remember that. The arc is about some of the cast as puppies and kittens, not just about Fox.

That was a typo. He meant Phox, Fox's evil twin.

Well I was right he wasn’t a stray. But even Max didn’t deserve to be petnapped. I wonder how they get out of this one?

 Re: Arc 50: Housepets Babies!
Considering it would be a bit odd (though not impossible) for a human to do it, and nobody else is around that really would have a reason, I would say yes Fox bites it. Unless Grape actually does save them and Max says something dumb again then she bites it. I guess that could happen. But I'm going with Fox doing it. Edit: I noticed this did not effect Max nearly as much as it did Fox. Fox basically changes personality a lot after this Max just really starts wearing a collar and tones his attitude down a little bit, but hes still quite a bit of an idiot and a jerk. Most likely this is because hes much older then Fox and much more set in his ways.

To be fair, Fox was probably lured in with a blunt instrument the second time. i.e.: http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/05/0 ... s-missing/THey're really hard to say no to.

You know since we know they get out of this fine, except for Max maybe losing a chunk of his ear during it, I have to admit I’m actually more interested in how the Peanut,Grape,Res B-Plot is going to end.

 Re: Arc 50: Housepets Babies!
Alot to comment on this strip, but it would've been cool if Max was a stray/feral. Oh, well. Can't have everything! And here i thought this mysterious villain was Judge Doom =( I initially thought Maxwell would be saving Fox. Doh! ... And Peanut's probably the most detailed storyteller ever, lol.

 Re: Arc 50: Housepets Babies!
Peanut is most likely not telling the story to Res in this much detail, in fact this part is most likely only taking him a few seconds to maybe a minute to tell. Remember they only have to get to Grapes window which can't be that far away. The stuff we are seeing is Rick telling the story to us not Peanut telling the story to Res. Edit: You know I wonder, did Max start wearing a collar because he wanted to (or felt like he should after this) or because Jeff now forces him to? Personally I'm going with Jeff now forces him to. It seems like something Jeff would do to him.

 Re: Arc 50: Housepets Babies!
Oh, I know that's how it's being presented. But if you look at it as if Peanut is watching everything, it's just funny at this point compared to how he was telling us how Grape met the dogs club. Because that's all Res needs to think now is Peanut is telling us he witnessed a kidnapping and never told anyone XD

 Re: Arc 50: Housepets Babies!
Hey, maybe Tarot has been hiding behind the couch conjuring up the imagery for Peanut and Res the whole time. On a side note I have been trying to think of what an un-abbreviated name for Res could be for months, and the only one that came to mind was... Dolores.

I wouldn't be surprised, but I would be likely to call it almost a name, not unlike Spo! (I also recalled the name DeForest -ala DeForest Kelley- just now)

Or Forrest. It's still entirely possible for that to be the case. Not terribly likely (my vote is still on Grape), but it's certainly a possibility.

 Re: Arc 50: Housepets Babies!
Same here, I think its likely that Grape has something to do with saving them, even if its not directly. Maybe she just gives some kind of info or something. Edit: Also something I notice, due to Maxwell's age its possible that he was adopted before Bino. That means its likely that Max is in fact a major reason that Bino is the way he is.

Maybe, but It's always been pretty clear that Fido's success/popularity is the major factor behind his inferiority complex.

 Re: Arc 50: Housepets Babies!
Really I'm guessing the reason he is the way he is, is a mixture of jealousy of Fido, and stuff he learned from Max. I doubt it. I really don't think this is "Peanut's version" of the story, and the framing device/B-plot is just being used as an excuse for Rick to tell us this story. I doubt there will be any embellishing. Its possible but there is no reason for that to happen so I really doubt it will.

I can see that, but I still think that his jealousy towards Fido is the main reason
