Yes, I now finally concede that they're not identical. But I wish they were--I thought it was better that way.

Tarot is talking to Dragon (who is talking in panel 3 when Tarot has green eyes) She is just somewhere else (inside Tarot maybe or at the table? Its not really clear) And yes Peanut is aware of Tarots powers.

This is definitely one of my favorite one-offs ever! I do think it adds a bit of depth to both Tarot and dragon.
I also like how we now know that Tarot and Spirit Dragon are at least separate personalities if not completely separate people. It's felt kinda vague before, especially with this comic and the whole "we're snowed in" arc.
Plus, I agree with Peanut. It's ever so hard to find a dragon book that is awesome enough.

i'm seriously imagining The Spirit Dragon (who needs a better name as far as I'm concerned) with Cloud of Darkness's voice. Cloud of darkness also was not the best name for a character ever.

Also, Peanut is reading a book while he's with his girlfriend?! What is wrong with him? You don't bring a BOOK on a date!

What I don't get is people who kept thinking that Tarot and Spirt Dragon were the same being. Thought from the start when Spirit Dragon first came into being that it was clear the two were not the same.

Well I wouldn't say from Dragons very first appearance that it was clear, but Rick made it clear not to long after that. So I agree I don't see why people are still confused by that.

It's also good to note that this proves that Tarot isn't as faithful to the Spirit Dragon as it looked. Up until now it felt like Tarot was mostly doing this for the Spirit Dragon.

Did i mention Peanut is my favourite dog next to Tarot?

This is Peanut, and it's only a book. I'm pretty sure if he only had five minutes to read it he could finish that book and still have time to boil a three minute egg.

Well sort of. He has a Girlfriend (Tarot), another Girl who's in love with him (Dragon, which we don't know about his feeling towards her) and He is in love with a Girl (Grape) that isn't in love with him that way.Yet anyway!(I hope) His love life must be very confusing indeed.

They're just hanging out! It's not a formal date or anything.He has one girlfriend, and a girl who wants to be his girlfriend.

AND another girl he has a crush on? Add one more person into it and we will have a love pentagon (instead of love triangle or love rectangle).

well I wasn't confused, it's just that Rick had never really provided a clear instance of them being two separate beings in the same strip. no they are conversing, so the confusion should be over.

but... it's a dog and a Dragon.

It looked very much like SD just had assumed the form of a dog and then reverted back, actually.

The next strip implied Tarot was something like a puppet, an empty vessel, with describing her as an avatar.

So now we know that she's basically Tarot's Tyler Durden.

And yes, I know Peanut's problem. I bought "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" only because I thought it were an imprisoned dragon and she had to fight other dragon-bearers. Didn't turn out to be the case, though...

that sounds like an awesome book that must be written.

I thought it was clear they WERE the same right from the start. And until now part of me wanted to believe they were even after Rick said that they weren't.

Now I'm disappointed that they're not--I wish they had been. This way Tarot's POSSESSED by an outside entity, which creeps the heck out of me.

I'd think of it more like Tarot's body is an intersection of two metaphysical planes containing Tarot and the Dragon respectively, but I haven't.

Why look at it as creepy? they get along just fine i find. i doubt SD just intrudes everytime Peanut is brought up.

yes, let's. I even have a plan for different types of dragons. the Loch Ness Monster type, The Asian, serpentine dragons, and the medieval Europe type Dragons. let's give Rick and Peanut a book they'd want to read.

Well Peanut and grape is just the result of being around each other always like siblings. Which has 2 effects. It either makes the two subjects really grow to love each other in a relationship way eventually , but usually will never say anything. The other is being absolutly repulsed by the idea of being together.

The spirit dragon likely had Tarot date peanut to kkep close to grape because they knew grape was a target and eventually he grew on them.
