No that's a terrible name. But let's discuss the comic itself instead.

Some people would be disappointed with a strip that's just a pun and little else.
I am not one such person.

At least Kevin seems to be interested, studying everything and all

Kevin looks a lot better in this one-off than he did in the last one-off with the calendars.

What did you think a tackle shop would sell anyway? I could get tackles for free from you!

Man, Kevin has some massive arms doesn't he?

Wow, Kevin may be super strong, but he should work on his brain a bit more >_>
And Fido is dumb, too. Out of all his friends, he wants to do something like icefishing with Kevin? That's not really smart :\

Maybe Kevin is lonely, and Fido wants him to be included?

Somehow I like Kevin's expression in panel 2. Like he was bored :)

Also the alt-text made me to think about something.

Kevin compensates with x-tra awesomeness.
Also, surely Fido will want him to tackle the fishes!

I don't thinkit's odd for Kevin being strong like that. He's part of the police. I must remind evryone that Fido has a defined chest.
But looking at Fox makes me think my theory is wrong. Maybe Fox is just lazy. XD

Fox isn't a police dog. He's the dog of a policeman.

So it mean my theory is still on!

Wow, Kevin is actually calm. That's surprising. Yay for Rick Griffin being back. But something about this comic seems off to me, though...

There could be a number of contributing factors to this, the obvious one being that after more than a weeks worth of guest comics and different art styles we've now been thrust back into the familiar standard style of the comic and it's a little jarring for you. Or maybe since Rick's style has been becoming more "solidified" lately, seeing these two characters again after that transition could be equally jarring (notice the slightly bolder outlines and larger eyes on Fido and Kevin compared to the last time we saw them, they've changed to a considerable degree.) But I'd place my bet on the fact that we just haven't seen these two for a while so maybe that's what's doing it.

It may also be due to Rick's illness. He might just have drawn differently because of that. *Shrugs*

I know its not my perception. The guest comics did nothing to make me forget the normal style that Rick uses. This comic is... I don't really know how to describe it. It's just different.

Well there's not much use saying there's "something different" if you can't say what it is. It's an annoying feeling when that happens yeah, but 'something' doesn't give much direction.

Yeah I felt the same way after seeing the new comic at first even commented on it in the IRC glad to know it wasn't just me and Challenger. But Two-Twig is right its just a "solidified" art style from Rick plus the Guest comics being done in such a different style that makes it a bit jarring.

I personally think it is because no one can draw 100% consistently all the time................ Okay, fine. I guess there IS a difference between the recent comic and the comic a few arcs ago. But even then, I won't call it a different style though.

Maybe Rick is trying to make everything cuter? ... Hm...

Whatever Rick is doing he's doing a fine job and is considered a valued asset to this company

Well, that goes without saying. Whatever he does is gold in my eyes. This strip looks awesome. I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

Normally comic is being updated on mondays, wednesdays and fridays. Only guest strips were being uploaded every day, but event is over and everything is back to normal.

Well, Kevin DID say he worked out a lot for the pictures. Maybe his muscles got flatter from not working out that much?

I think I finally figured out what was bothering me with this strip. Fido and Kevin look a little shaggier/ scruffier than usual. If you look at their hair, it seems longer. I don't know if it was intentional (winter coats) or not, I don't know. Maybe they just didn't brush their fur out before going outside.

I'd pay money if I could do it even half of the time. Agh, shaky linework.
