Res is a writer for Pete's sake
Or Res loves the smell of mints outdoors ;)

Seriously though, i'm just teasing the opportunity. It would be different if it was the symbol of a hockey team, then we'd have ourselves a ball =D

And Rick, noone would find that stab-worthy!

That smile Grape gave that cat is probably the scariest facial expression Grape has ever shown.

It reminds me of the same smile Max gave Bino when he was egging him about Fido.

and i feel embarassed to admit that i didn't get the alt text until now. Considering i usually forget what's on TV commercials... even comic ones XD

Okay, I know this is gonna sound weird, but Res reminds me of droopy dog.

And where did the name Res come from?

Res closed his laptop not because he didn't want Grape to see what he is writing.

She was speaking with food in her mouth and he was afraid that she'll spit out crumbs.

It may be her favorite snack, in which case remembering the full name would be less surprising.

I thought the idea of a coffee burrito was gross before... but now the thought of willingly eating one as one's favorite snack is just...

On a side note, does Res' computer magically turn into a book in panel 3 or am I just crazy?

Grape ate a live, fully sapient mouse once. And you're disgusted by the burrito?

Animals naturally eat mice. Life was never meant to see pumpkins. coffee, and Mexican food combined.
Plus that mouse was just being annoying I mean come on he asked for it

It's a netbook.

And everyone's crazy here. 8-)

Also, this comic give me the will to see how taste a burrito (but not this burrito).

It strikes me as a female, but that might just be because I assumed it was Miss Auburn almost immediately.

I'd say male, too. Only a guy would be this embarrassed because he's writing fanfiction.

You say that like I don't have one! You just don't know it.

Unless, of course, it's the author who doesn't want anyone knowing it. (S)he's evidently pretty jumpy and probably just wants a break from crazy fans.

i still stand by the fact that everyone likes to pretend that minor characters are more significant than they really are.

I think Res is male too, since his/her speech pattern sounds sort of male to me and I can't see anything that suggests that he/she is female....

... But then again, nothing suggested that Grape is female either...

when i first read this comic, it was so late for me that i was woozy and didn't really think properly.
in the fourth panel i read;
"You miss Auburn?"
"Oh, Uh... yeah, sorta.."
"Cool me too!"

And i first i was like "Oh.. Grape must be so excited to see her, she must be hallucinating.

When i woke up the next day i read it again and facepalmed for three reasons.
1, Miss Auburn most likely isn't a cat. Maybe.
2, why would she be out in the open anyway not surrounded by fans?
and 3, why would she be writing fanfiction <_> (not that it doesn't happen, i'm just saying..)

Also i called the maple leaf idea :3

Uh, I still don't get the name. I must be really dense.

I think Res is female. I don't think Grape would still a burrito from a male she didn't know. Then, again, as I have mentioned before, I am dense.

I personally think Maxwell did what Res did a long time ago much better just with his attitude alone, but i like Res in the sense that he/she's a writing cat.

If Res is sticking around, i wouldn't mind. that chalks one extra cat for the neighbourhood.

Hopefully one extra girl cat

Or a girl in general, we don't seem to have many of them in the comic; or maybe we do but I can't remember them all... - _- *hmm*

Edit: I think these are all the girls that make a regular appearance or have appeared at some point:
Grape
Sabrina
Tarot
Sasha
Daisy
Lana
Squeak
Stripe?
Lucretia
Farm cats x3
Bigglesworth x?
Fiddler or Keys (Just 1 of them)
