Re: Chat Thread 42: The Answer To Life, The Universe and Eve
I'm so excited for this game... Prolly gonna retire me from Splatoon. XP Does anyone else dislike bittersweet endings? To me they're like taking a nice bowl of ice cream and spraying a bittering agent on it - it just ruins it. I realize not all endings can be happy, but I feel like life is sad enou...

No. No. NO. Only nightmares await. Trying to land on the aircraft carrier... GAH. AND THAT'S JUST THE FIRST LEVEL. There are games that are hard, and there are games that are just sadistic. And then there is Top Gun, for the NES. I just got a laugh everytime you flew too low and the plane just drop...

Re: Discussion: Video Games
I enjoy the series, but actually, those 3 are the only ones I've played. I'd have liked to played 6, but it was Xbox 360-exclusive, which I did not have. Still, what I've seen of the cutscenes links it to 4, 5 and Zero. Of the first 3, I know a little, but have never played in full. The first was or...

One of the most famous/infamous heads of the Spanish Inquisition, notorious for investigating whether converts to Catholicism had truly 'converted', was himself descended from converts to Catholicism.

In a horror game though, you will never outclass the enemy, and if it's made properly the turning point you mention will never come. because that's not the point. True enough. I'm not sure to what degree of a gamer that you are, and how much experience you had at the time of that game, but it can b...

I understand the feeling, Buster. You've probably seen the video, but Egoraptor talks about it a bit in his whole Megaman X Sequelitis episode (if not, here ), where your first encounter against one of the main bosses you don't have any idea how much damage you deal until you inevitably lose, but st...

Nuisance: My power went out in the middle of the night - which I probably wouldn't have noticed except for the fact that the computer's power reserve has an infernal beeping noise when the electricity goes out that woke me up. Once I dealt with that, though I had an incredibly difficult time falling...

Something I just noticed - Peanut must have some pretty fast reflexes if he was able to pull a camera out of a bag without giving the sabercat a chance to react.

I haven't, kuro, but that's something I really should do soon. Based on what CosmicCoyote said it's definitely closer to an anxiety attack than a full-on panic attack. I highly suggest you do. Also not a psychiatrist or similar profession, but seems more like an anxiety attack to me. Those you get a feeling of intense wariness - constantly on edge, and an innate feeling that something just isn't right , but you can never put your finger on exactly why. Panic attacks tend to be more... ful...

Re: 2015/08/27 - Are We When Yet?
Well the bigger problem with 'non-paradoxical' time travel is it effectively establishes predetermination. Take timeline point A, B, C, and D where A is before B is before C is before D. Let's say people from point D go back to point B to affect an event at C, but turned out to have already effected...

But then again, why assume that they went back to Satau's time? He looks as confused about it as the rest. They may have sprinted past their target era. I think I shall reassert my postulation. No, they went to the right time. They just went to the right time in the wrong location . They're where B...

Sooo, now they're likely to meet both Pete and Dragon. Yup, King had a GOOD reason not to get involved on this one. Hmm, wonder if it is from this moment that Dragon will get obsessed in love with Peanut and will ask Tarot to ruin his possibilities with Grape. or it happened yet? Time travel hurtz ...

I find it quite amusing that Kitsune says that incarnating Pete and Dragon as the coming pups would be unfair to Bailey, while mentioning nothing about whether it would be fair to King to be stuck raising the celestial siblings. It'd totally be fair to King! Oh but of course! After all, there would...
