Housepets!

Jake grinned. "Awesome!" He waved to HD and teh new dog. "Hey there. I'm Jake."

Jake checked his collar to make sure it was tight. "Sounds like a plan to me. We only have the one car and Dad's at work, so...my parents giving a ride is out" Jake grinned. "Does this mall have a bookstore?"

Jake climbed out of the water and shook himself. "Sounds good." He snapped his collar around his neck. "So, where to next?"

Jake grinned as he took off his collar and placed it next to Lance's. Geronimo! I'm coming in! As Jake jumped, the water from teh splash completely drenched Shamrock. "Oops. I didn't mean to do that! sorry."

Jake followed Lance and Shamrock quietly. He grinned, "So are we allowed to swim in this lake?" Jake wagged his tail?

Jake guestured straight back over his shoulder. "I live about a block that way." He paused for a second. "SO what exactly are we looking for? Lance never told me."

I am totally not shocked that Tiger would sing something like that. although..."I'm going to kill you in your sleep" reminded me of when he and Bino are forced to work together hunting for Zach.

Since the person who he had come to the park with was now playing on the see-saw, Jake decided to head over to Lance and his group. "LANCE!" Jake shouted. "YOU FIND THAT THING YET?"

Jake laughed, Panting. "Fastest cat, yes. clumsiest, yes" Jake waved to Lance. "Hi..Lance, right? what's up?"

Jake shrugged. "Okay. I'm not the fastest runner (A-5) But I'll give it a shot." Jake took off running for the park, barely missing a tree root that was in his path. (P-6, L-6) as he ran, he saw Lance and the others and waved to them.

Jake turned to see the strange cat from yesterday. "Oh, Hi, Blueberry, right? I'm headed to the park right now to hang out, maybe start a game or something." he added as an afterthought, "By the way, the name is Jake, and I woul greatly appriciate you using it over 'new dog'."

Jake stretched and opened hie eyes with a huge yawn. He blinked. This room didn't look like his. then he remembered. "Oh, Yeah! We just moved to Sunset Plateu yesterday! " Jake trotted to the bathroom and took a quick shower, then snapped his blue collar on, making sure his wallet and cell...

Jake closed up his book, went inside to his new room and climbed into bed. he was soon fast asleep.

after a yummy supper of steak, mashed potatoes and green beans, Jake went out on his back porch to read. Sure is a nice night to relax and read, he thought, propping his big feet up on the porch rail.

Jake waved goodbye to his new friends and headed into his new house.

Jake nodded. "Yeah. I'm headed home too. It is getting sorta late and it's Movie night tonight." Jake looked at Blueberry. "A pair of sunglasses and bottle of oil do not equal greatness." Jake started with the others back into town.

Jake blinked at all teh new pets, especially teh strange cat. "Hello, Blueberry is it? YOu ceratinly have a lot of junk!" He turned to teh others. "Jake Cavis. I'm new here. We're looking for something a friend of Lance's lost by the lake."

"Great then! Lets get going its getting kind of late and dinner will be ready soon." He said as he began walking into the woods in front of them. "So your Dad works for an electronics company that's neat what does he do there? My Dad works as a Pharmacist at the local CVS and my Moms...

Lance looked at Dust and then it clicked he had almost forgotten "Oh yeah we where going into the woods to look for something my friend lost." Lance said and then he looked at Jake "Hey do you want to come with us?" Jake nodded. " Sure! I'd love to come along! It'd be nice ...

Jake thought best how to explain it. "Farming is growing food. A farmer plows up the ground and plants seeds. plants like wheat and oats grow. they also raise animals like cows and pigs that are killed and used for food. there were a lot of farmers where we lived. mostly feilds and trees. this ...

Jake shooke Lance's hand,. "Good to meet you, Lance. and...my name's Jake. not Jack. I'm from a small farming town three hours west of here" Jake then reached down to Dust and hauled him to his feet in one swift, powerful motion. (S-8) "Hi, Dust, you okay?"

Jake saw Lance and Dust head for the woods. 'Hey! Wait for me!" Jake called and raced up to catch up with them. It took him a little but, but he finally did. "Hey", he said, panting slightly. "I'm Jake. I just moved into town."

Jake walked closer to the group, but stayed about 10 feet out. What am I doing! he tought to himself I don't have the faintest idea who these guys are

Jake saw the other pets gathered. He ambled to the feet and started towards them. Jake, be calm. they won't bite. you need to make some new friends he thought to himself (C-4)

Jake heard some muttering in the bushes nearby, but ignored them and turned the page in his book. I sure haven't seen may pets around today he said to himself

Jake, A powerfully built Rottweiler stepped out his front door after telling his mom goodbye. he gripped a paperback book in one of his big paws. he ambled rather slowy to the park (a-5) and settled under a tree with his book Sure is a nice day he thought
