Re: The Slender Man
@Beagle - That's a good point honestly; if something like this does affect someone in that way then that's when the fun stops. I know someone who has insomnia and this urban legend kept them on edge for longer than healthy. It took some support from me and some other friends to combat it with them; ...

Re: Common National Stereotypes
Germany here, but to clear up the two stereotypes I face most: No, we're not all wearing leather pants, fancy green hats and drink beer all day while eating Wurst and Sauerkraut. That's the Oktoberfest you think of, and it happens only in Bavaria, which is pretty secluded from Germany, actually. Th...

Re: Sequel/remake of Xiaolin Showdown for spring of 2013
OK, just what the heck was Omi wearing?
I did used to watch Xiaolin Showdown religiously as a kid, but if this is what the reboot offers me I'm out. The initial animation and style were spot on, but the changes in voice (and possibly cast) might just sour the deal for me.

"He" doesn't exist. Well quite frankly you're right, but it's alot more fun to play along such as ghost stories and festive phenomenon I'll neglect to mention due to the PG rating ;) . I was amused to find out it was actually a photography competition to see who could come up with the mor...

I've been in a few bands since middle school, my first one as a singer. Yeaaaaah, so we were young, foolish and could only play one song (Seven Nation Army) but we had fun. For a time after that I played bass in another band where much controversy was afoot - I joined on the promise that there was a...

This is one of the many things they don't teach you in Art class in the UK. I swear I learn more about improving my technique and style from the Internet than any teacher I've encountered.
Anyway thanks for this tutorial, pencil shadows and shading are an area I really want to explore in future

The Slender Man is a meanie - he took my sandwich :( In all seriousness though, Slendy always seems to find his way into my thoughts when I'm walking home late on autumn and winter nights. To enjoy life to it's fullest and make as many other people happy as you can. Whether that's through telling a joke, sharing a skill or being someone to confide in, good karma makes the world go round. Although I'm not exactly a spiritual guy, I do know that negative actions are followed by negative...

I think I'm quite like Grape (even though I'm a dude) - I love my sleep and like to think I'm a little sagely  I can see myself in other characters, but Grape seems to be the one I relate to the most (especially the way she tolerates Peanut). Again, thanks very much for the replies. I think that audience is most likely the most daunting prospect when it comes down to it. It is said that all artists must suffer for their work, but if it's a curriculum based exhibition I'd assume that playing it safe would be my best bet. After all, even a...

Little bit of history for you - Winston Churchill was at a party and drinking heavily when a woman came over to him and said,
'You sir, are drunk'
To which Winston replied (and here's the quote)
'And you, madam, are ugly, but tomorrow I will be sober'
What a legend

The Strangers. No aliens, no monsters, just pure unedited brutality . I definitely prefer films that sort of ring true to the real world than stuff that's totally out of the question like The Unborn.
