Well we now know that it wasn’t any kind of clean break up like people thought before. At least from Max’s side anyway at any rate.
Some deeply disturbing ones maybe! Although I wonder what happened between them to make him so touchy feely?
Max should be happy I hear her new boyfriend is a real dog.

Maybe Max knows. That would certainly explain his animosity towards her. Although it could also have something to do with that haunted house incident.

I think it partly humiliation from when Sabrina made him tell grape that he was her ex-boyfriend
Little odd that he would wait till now to show any resentment for that, but it does make a little sense.
Also what Sabrina did -in the spirits in the “Scaredy Cats” arc- wanst very liked by Max
The anger seems to have to do with more of the Meatgrinder in this case, A.K.A the Spookmaster. Considering he knows Sabrina summoned him, he has at least one reason to not invite her, but I also thought it was eventually forgiven.

Did Max think Grape said “Is there something wrong with that?” Because saying “Obviously!” doesn’t make sense to me, unless I’m not grasping something.
I think I have a little proofreader in my brain that doesn’t let me see these things until others point them out…
Maybe it was meant as one sentence, with “Obviously” being punctuated for emphasis.
It’s how I read it too.
He’s going ‘Obviously!’ with some sort of wild gesture, then explaining that “I have a reputation to maintain’
Ok, obviously more issues there then most suspected there was.
Tiger is like me, only goes to parties for the food and doesn’t hide that from anyone.

I’m sure if Sabrina was angry with him or anything Max would have to run like that, or maybe at first when they just broke up she used her powers to do things that had him running
Glad to see Grape isn’t jealous. It (usually) takes a very secure personality to tease someone about inviting their ex! Or maybe just a silly one.
or maybe she’s one of the few ladies out there that don’t think there boyfriend would cheat on them and that there ex doesn’t want them back and plans to steal them back. though they are “pets” as well as animals so it’s not a stretch they’d would take such things the same way a human female would.
Agh! Off topic, but seriously, quit using ‘there’ that refers to a place. It’s ‘their’ that you want, as that one is for possetion.
I only use the one “there” I don’t care much for its meaning that I’m using wrong, don’t be a grammer nazi.

Well he was on good enough terms with her to ask her to scare Marvin and Zach for Halloween. The current anger may simply be because of literally scaring him to death (Well there goes life number SEVEN) and not because of the breakup.
(Yes, I know it was a joke).
I think he’s afraid of a replay of the last time he invited Sabrina to an event.

I was just thinking the same thing, though at this point involving Max’s ear I think Rick is leaving that up to the readers to draw there own conclusion to what happened to it, though I may be wrong.

That’s what I thought too! Which can explain Max’s uneasy nature around Sabrina or the mention of her name!

All in all guys i’d say the new style looks Perty’good on the Arbelt clan. Although I can’t help but think that Rick drew Marvin’s face a little “wider” than the other two cats.

Well you Could say it is…in a way. Most people draw a comparison between the new style and newspaper comic strips. I personally think the new stuff is inspired by Calvin and Hobbes.

No doubt about it. She knocks on the door and says ” Hey sorry I’m late. Yesterday I read on the crystal ball that Max was having a party and I almost forgot.” Or something like that.
That’s more Tarot’s speed.
No. Tarot would be knocking on the door the moment someone mentions her name. Sbrina on the other hand takes few hours or days to answer the person who mentioned her name.

I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t noticed the comic is somewhat back to its’ original style. Thank you Rick; the compromise make for an awesomely edgy appearance.
If I find out that Grape invited her dads employee, the tanuki. I’m gonna flip the table, do a barrel roll, jump all over the place and sing the song Hound dog.

Tiger is the only one that is rather chubby (thing that has sence afterall) or is the angle

Is it me or Marvin’s eyes seem a little too separated?
1. Dog, cat, rabbit, this party needs a fox!
2. They seem to be about the same separation as Grape’s, maybe they look further because of the fur pattern.
Ferrets and Wolves might work too. Woodland creatures face the risk of brooms to the face.
