Nope, not even close. For example, during the whole sequence where Joel gets arrested and meets Pete, many Human faces are quite visible. It’s just that the usual Point of View is from house-pet level, and why bother looking at a Human’s face? They can’t semaphore with their ears.
I don’t know how many humans have voluntary ear control (I have heard up to 20% in some countries, but that’s completely unsourced), but it’s not that uncommon.
My brother used to brag he could move his ears up and down via raising his eyebrows or extending his lips. We called him Dumbo for that.

XD; Okay, everyone is arguing with me, so let me rephrase: this is the first time I CAN REMEMBER that we have seen AN ENTIRE human face, NOT JUST the lower half. If I am wrong, I am totally cool with that, but I can’t remember a single other time that we’ve seen an entire human face. They are always cut off.
What about the cop in the police car with Joel? Unless sunglasses don’t count. (sorry for bringing it up again, I’m just trying to bring info)
