After working in the Insurance industry for more than two decades, I can assure you that no Policy covers Acts of Gods. That includes Elder Gods, unfortunately. If Cthulhu trashes your ‘51 Merc, you’re covered; if he had help, you better get a great lawyer.
I love the new art style as well but i do see something i don’t like. I don’t know if its just me but king’s arms look pencil thin in the 3rd panel compared to how they were thick when he was petting bailey. Im not calling rick out on something i think looks very different then it should, just to clarify.
The wolf be big. and beefy…mmm, wolfie beefcake. with carcasses…*snerk* what were we talking about?
He also looks like he’s had a neck reduction. Not sure how to fix that.
king seems to ha e lost allot of his character with the new style change. Mostly the character that came through in his eyes. I would suggest making the eyes bigger i like the transcendence and luminosity though. Also liked the big dog tags they are very humerous
I respect that Rick is branching out in terms of style, but I still don’t like it. King is pretty much my favorite character, and now he looks rather silly. Maybe we can still see the old style now and again?
Well this should be fun the whole neiborhood in one place. Its going to get interesting.
All the Bigglesworths are coming! maybe they can play tag?
Now Rick has to draw ‘em all!
Mwahahaha, yes!
for some reason, this reminds me of the chaos created during that eastern egg hunt…
Natural disaster insurance, anyone?
With them? I can only imagine the insurance company would declare it an “act of god” and refuse to cover it.
“It was an act of dog”
“But he’s a wolf”
“Close enough”
for dyslexics and people who really think they meant dog not god
no, because they DID mean dog
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/04/13/any-year-with-no-fatalities-is-a-good-year/
With King there, I think it’s more likely to be an act of Pete.
*facedesks*
I wonder if a grammar technicality counts as a deductible i.e. act of God(s) not act of God
That would be Act of Nerd.
…or, Revenge of the Nerd?

May I suggest, the Devil’s Advocate?
Yay, a gathering of all the pets. This is gonna’ be fun!
Looking forward to Poncho’s final design!
Wondering what kind of punch poncho’s ladling out there.
Loving the new art style

I think they just get thicker towards the paws, they seem thin towards his shoulders throughout
And remember the wolves to COOK the meat this time !
i think he already confirmed that’s NOT going to happen : p
Wouldn’t mind Miles cooking
Is it me, or does the first panel reminded me of some sitcom?
not you
Always thinking with their stomachs lol!
hey’, it’s the body part that gets the best!
And we’re not the same?
Things also attract flies. OH that’s the background behind him. *ducks*
Esculente idem sunt rerum species….
All food is the same. Spoken like a truly wise wolf.
same thing, rather.
Sorry, that should have been “etiam”
Ohhh, so it’s just requoting the last line. Still funny!
Miles looks older now. Poncho looks cute as ever. Maybe Karishad can sneak out that young wolf at the zoo so she can come to the party!
I love Miles’ new look. he’s buffier, fluffier and wiser all in one.
I’d gladly take my classes from him.
You mean “Miles looks buff, moreso than usual”.
how did you know?!
I thoought we were throught that already…
Nope, they are right, he looks (and probably is) older and buffier. Is like a furry version of all your favourite super cool war veterans!
these people have got a point. rick has miles been working out or is it just the perspective?
Miles has always been very muscular…
Oh Miles! ;p (smiles in freeze frame while credits appear)
Hahaha Maybe he would get along well with Tiger
if Tiger got invited, I doubt the other guests would have much left to eat…
I think Tiger could eat them out of the house, then eat their home.
(pun, pun.)
When a wolf has to eat, he gotta eat!
raw carcass gotta do what carcasses gotta do!
Kinda like the pov shot in the 4th made me laugh
Sorta strange to think of carcasses when a good portion of the animals are anthropomorphic… and I’m reminded of this… http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/07/06/playing-with-your-food/
Ungulates aren’t anthropomorphic, but it’s still kinda creepy.
You know I wonder what animal carcass Miles thinks about when he’s huggry?
Or the cubs. Oh, right…
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2011/10/21/housepets-book-2/
OMHG! They eat sapients!
…….
That’s awesome!
Err, yeh, not quite the word I’d use…
Zach would disagree on that.
Strongly!
Gotta appreciate his optimism.
Oh delicious indeed may appear but dissapionting at the end nontheless XP
King, you can’t compete with wuff wisdom
So if things are delicious, but also deceptive, then how do you know that the thing is delicious
They could be deceptively delicious, like a margarita.
The wolf be big. and beefy…mmm, wolfie beefcake. with carcasses…*snerk* what were we talking about?
He also looks like he’s had a neck reduction. Not sure how to fix that.
Borrow Bino’s collar?
We already know Fox and Bailey will be there, since Bill likes those things, too. :p
heh, Miles’ chest is so sturdy, it looks like a breasplate!
Militant, even.
He doesn’t call himself “soldier” for nothing.
The backgrounds in the new style remind me a *lot* of Calvin and Hobbes sunday comics.
Is Miles squinting his eyes trying to read or he assumed epic wise expression?
Epic wise expression definetly epic wise expression!! lol, lol
This Christmas will be quite interesting. Hehe.
Joel/King turns human in front of everybody during a critical moment of the party! Called it!
Thomas Milton walks distractedly through the party holding a shovel and a map.
Just got a mental picture of of Odlaw searching for treasure.
….without clothes?
Did Mile gain weight? I dont see him beefy today…
Hmm, looks like Miles hit the gym while Rick was in the hospital.
gotta keep hose muscles growin` ;D
He’ll get beefier and beefier ’till he explodes! You’ll see!
Miles… looks… fluffy! (even moreso than usual) Is that just his design or is it his winter coat?
new design. Unless THIS was fake snow…
http://www.housepetscomic.com/comics/2011-12-02-a-holiday-extravaganza.png
*sigh* Looks like the Wolves are still learning social skills…but then again, aren’t we all? *goes to take care of some carcasses in his room*
Miles looks a bit wider in this one…hm.
Hope the Babylon Gardens’ residents accquired the taste for raw ungulate carcasses this year…
considering the crisis and all, it’s a safe bet they won’t mind some free meat, even if not at its best preservation state…
Well, it IS winter, that’ll help a bit.
I love how Miles is this big muscular wolf yet he wears glasses and reads extensively.
Reminds me of me. XD 6′6 and an avid reader.
I want to be able to read like Peanut.
But that would be quite impossible.
nice perspective work with King and Miles in the third panel
4th FTW
Joel/King gets shrunk between the 3rd and 4rth!
I love Latin sayings/abbreviations. Just wish I could incorporate them in a sentence every day. X3
Quidquid latine dictum, altum videtur
the snow-wolf in the garden is cute!
Lupis ite domum!
king seems to ha e lost allot of his character with the new style change. Mostly the character that came through in his eyes. I would suggest making the eyes bigger i like the transcendence and luminosity though. Also liked the big dog tags they are very humerous
Miles look bigger with this new style
I respect that Rick is branching out in terms of style, but I still don’t like it. King is pretty much my favorite character, and now he looks rather silly. Maybe we can still see the old style now and again?
Rick’s not going to switch between styles. This is how King looks.
Alright. Sorry for being disrespectful.
Short answer, No.
Long answer, what Dissension said.
Lets hope that their house won’t get destroyed or damaged.
hope some neighbors won’t get destroyed or damaged!
Nah, that happens on Easter during the egg hunt.
you’ll get the hang of the new style. i like it
but i think miles looks too big, or at least his contrast to king has been over exaggerated
don’t see a wrong thing in those pics. Perhaps you’re weirded because we’ve never seen those characters in that perspective before.
hehe I like the little snowwolf in the front yard.
I DIDN’T NOTICE THAT!
Wonder if even all he animals are coming…
Will someone please post the alt text?
Esculentae etiam sunt rerum species.
It’s been a year since the Wolves (or is it just Wolfs) had their time at the Zoo?
Certain speech bubbles seem…carefully placed. Especially considering the next comic.
