Sabrina and Daryl are the only potential avatars here. Or maybe Karishad. Keene and Zach are definitely surplus to requirements.
i dont think that Daryl counts as a dog and Sabrina is protected by dragon. He’s probably not going to choose Keene because he’s use the Milton family for his needs before; plus even if he did he would be able to use Keene because he’s always working. I think that Pete would want a
scared-of-his -own-shadow rabbit for his avatar. Karishad….. well i’m not sure but i think Karishad is the Kitsunes avatar…. (my opinion)
Wolves and dogs are the same species, Canis Lupus. Wolf is the Lupus subspecies, dog is the Familiaris subspecies.
What matters are The Rules. Since The Rules specify dogs and cats only:

… wolves are not permitted. It must be a canid commonly classed as a dog, not a near-dog or almost-dog. And technically, keep in mind, Pete *could* take Sabrina if both parties were willing (Dragon already has an avatar), but it’s unlikely she’d go for it.
That doesn’t specify it’s a domesticated dog. There’s lots of wild dogs, including wolves. Not to mention wild cats. How about one of the bengal tigers from the zoo?
The thing is when people say Dog or Cat almost all of the time they are talking about Domesticated Dogs or Cats. So its pretty logical to assume that it means that. Also Pete likely would have gone after one of the Wolves by now if that was the case.
When people say “dog” they generally don’t mean “human turned into a dog” either.
How would he have gone after a wolf? He can’t manifest on Earth any more. He’d have to trick one into his temple.

Ok one that is not a thing that ever happens and two Joel was turned into a Dog Except that Dragon said it the rules were “Strictly Dogs or Cats” if you can include Wolves and Foxes and what not in terms of Dogs or Cats its not in anyway a Strict rule. Wolves while Canine are not in anyway Dogs and I know of absolutely nobody who would consider them as such.
If you wanted to include Wolves and stuff in it the rule should have been Strictly Feline or Canine which would include them. Though looking at that strip again Pete did try to lie (or something, I still don’t get what the heck he was trying to do or why) about Dragon moving the Temple; so maybe Dragon lied as well or is just an idiot who didn’t understand the rules she agreed to.

Wolves are “strictly dogs”. Dogs are domesticated wolves. They’re not just “other canines” like jackals or cape hunting dogs, they’re the same species.
Also “strict” isn’t a modifier on “dogs and cats”, it’s a modifier on “the rules”.
I have suggested that Karishad is the kitsune myself. I have also suggested he might be with the dragon because he has green eyes and is a bit of a wildcard.

Just commenting on a possible character consistency problem. Sabrina near the beginning of this comic strip is a pacifist but she acts cruelly toward her ex boyfriend Max during the haunted house strip and she assisted in the killing of gargoyles.
Excuse me assisted in the killing of gargoyles in this arc.
I don’t know if cruel is the word…she was just giving him what he was dishing out to the others. After all, she boldfaced DON’T HURT HIM.
Don’t forget she threatened to have Fido erased from existance if he didn’t help save King’s watch/soul. That’s about as cold as you can get.
Im not sure if she was a pacifist as much as she was a friend to those who couldn’t defend themselves. The Gargoyles, Max and Fido could, so she could side against them..

Honestly, worried about Sabrina. Pete still doesn’t have an avatar, and here is a good candidate. I wonder if it’s possible if Sabrina has some resentment toward Dragon. The Trial in Heaven seemed to imply it was because of Dragon that she left Max for Fido. Random guess, don’t think she’ll do that, and I hope so, too.
I wouldnt be worried about her, she´s Dragons Team so Dragons is watching her back. I would be more concern about Karishad, he is perfectly eligible for an avatar (He is a canine and since he is with Keene he is a Housepet) and he had been already into the temple.
So my conspiracy theory is: Karishad is already Pete´s avatar
Karishad would probably Chuck Norris the stuffing out of Pete before being tricked into becoming his avatar!
