I suspect you're assuming a linear function rather than a power function somewhere. 6 km down, the air pressure would only be around 2 atmospheres, 30 km down it would be 30 atmospheres. That's only the equivalent of 300 meters down in the ocean (1 ATM ≅ 10m H20), which is about the limit for human diving.
