Peanut would be turning a page every twenty seconds. Which may take some enjoyment value from it.

if Grape is friend with Res, wouldn’t Res have given Grape an early copy.
Res is the author of a book series, with some copyright over the movie characters, but it’s the movie producer that holds the copyright on the movie series, and so only the producer can decide if allowing a private vision to a few selected people. Surely the producer wouldn’t hand out a private copy of the movie to anybody before the release unless very exceptional circumstances.
I don’t think he can. And from what we’ve seen, he’s not the kind of character that thinks rules were made to be broken.
not to mention he’d like to meet Grape and Peanut on a friend basis, not on a fanboy basis. he wouldn’t like any of them asking for such material

Actually Grapes line about driving over with Max seems to imply that hes also coming its just that she couldn’t go with him. I mean I’m sure he would want to come and see the new Pridelands movie.
But who knows I mean Grape clearly forgot about it so maybe Max did to (or something else will keep him from coming) and he won’t show up.
Actually, I think that Peanut and Max set it up so that Peanut gets to spend the about five hours in the mall with Grape, and then let her enjoy the movie with Max while Peanut stays with tarot…
Sounds a bit far-fetched.
I doubt they had that planned since this was a random black-out moment for Grape, but something like that happening is certainly possible in the end. Considering Tarot can foresee things going on, it would be cute that she came just to be an extra-seat for Peanut in the movies during the last minutes of the movie coming. That, or both Max and PEanut have to share seats with Grape X3
Grape raises a good point, but Peanut has an undeniably strong counterargument.

this was awfully cute, the way grape vented out many impracticle situations and then the sudden shift to panel 4 like she’d zoomed off there like roadrunner. I hope Res shows up at the release

er, why dose the house pets universe even have a leash law?
Logically there is no real justifiable reason for it (out side of really young puppies/kittens) its just there to make it more consistent with our world.
There are a lot of laws that don’t make sense. Besides we don’t know what their citizenship status is in this world.
We know that in Japan, Tanukis are recognized as citizens.

I’m sorry but was the term “Pet-Friendly” ever used in this whole comic to refer to BG or any other place in the way that a lot of people here use it? Because the only place I remember it being used was on the sign outside of BG and I think that was just a Slogan. I don’t think its like an actual type of Neighborhood like people seem to think it means.
true that… And yet, if i got keene right, with Babylon Gardens Henry Milton did something different on the legislative side. It could be far-fetched, but in the Aztec Gold arc, the truck driver sounded surprised to be questioned by a dog ‘officer’, to the point that Fido had to remind him to drop any ‘good dog’ reference.
I don’t remember Keene saying something like that he said that Mr. Milton wanted to bring Human and Animals closer together; and it seems like he was using BG as a “base” of sorts hence bringing the Temple there and everything.
I don’t think he implied that Milton did anything different with BG then any other place. Also I think that thing with the truck drive had to do with the fact that the K-9 officers questioning people being rather uncommon and less to do with BG being a different kind of community.

I have a feeling Grap and Peanut will be in the middle of a romantic moment that could change their relationship and then BOOM!!, Max and Tarot show up. Tarot/Dragon being understanding yet still sad from having to give up Peanut, but Max would probably be devastated.

I totally agree. We didn’t see enough of him in the previous arc and now there’s an arc which starts with them mentioning Pridelands, he’s so got to be there.
Hard to say. There probably will be midnight releases all over the country, but maybe he has sweet talked his mom so they can be at the nearest theater to Babylon Gardens. Who knows at this point?

If you look at their eyebrows/muzzles, Peanut definitely is taller in here. Not much really, but still. He’s been drawn like that for some time now, go check out Snowed in/one-offs and such.

Actually now that I browsed earlier arcs as well it seems like it’s been like that at least from the 17th. Funny, I always thought they were exact the same height, like how they appeared when it still was black and white. The things one doesn’t notice.
