Fired is such a deceptively gentle word, when your boss is a small carnivore.
He doesn’t have the mouth or the attitude to eat him… he’s not shiny enough anyway.
i would still be worried
Knowing the ferrets, being fired probably means being loaded into a shiny, clear-plastic air cannon, and literally fired a hundred feet or so away from the house, where an inexplicable landing pad/trampoline is waiting.
But smile anyways!

I wasn’t aware being pure, unadulterated chaos was a skill needed to be a butler. Still if your alligator needs to hooked up to a car battery it would help/
Eh, did that last week. Hilarious while it lasted.
You know, it’s really Jeeves’ fault. I still don’t buy that he didn’t hear Keene screaming through the glass. Of course Mr. Steward is the one in charge (mostly). But they really do need him to keep them from accidentally buying an industrial blender to play in!
Of course he heard, but that just the revenge of the unappreciated hardworking butler.
What are the odds that Jeeves is next?

I don’t think it would be so creepy if it wasn’t just a charade to hide his malicious intent.
I think it’s more throwing his malicious intent into stark relief.
Well he better have a very good excuse (which I can’t see how he will) or hes very very fired.
Well he WAS busy suing the zoo for the wolves and all that. It would have been easy to forget the person who hired him in the confusion.
Do you really think he would want to release the FERRET in charge of him?
Mr. Steward is not the lawyer(s) who sued the zoo (if they actually sued them I don’t think it was said either way) he hasn’t been in the comic since February 1st, 2010 (http://www.housepetscomic.com/2010/02/01/among-thieves/) So yeah that is no excuse.

Nope that was Jeeves (who is also very likely to be fired or be in some kind of trouble) and the lawyer was Mr. London.
But isn’t Jeeves the steward? I might be all mixed up.
Jeeves is the butler; Mr. Steward is the court-appointed steward.

If the Miltons built a cannon/mass driver for the purpose of hurtling worthless employees into the sun, we could solve all our landfill problems if they would just let us use it…

They made a special point to find a steward named “Steward”. So if you look up “steward” in a dictionary, that’s him. That’s what he does. Except with ferrets. Who are billionaires.

But if Mr. Steward gets fired, then there wouldn’t be that character with the play on words…you know, the Steward for the ferrets is named Mr. Steward.

Now that you mention Itsuki I kinda wanna see more of him btu then i dont think he’ll have much of an impact.
Also since we haven’t really seen Itsuki a lot i mistakenly thought of a little girl with a huge hammer beating soldiers since it’s the name of another character too.

Keene is my favorite ferret of the Miltons.
Heh, Keene has such a cute artificial smile. Its too bad it isn’t genuine.
The thing is, if Mr. Steward is court appointed, can the ferrets actually fire him? doesn’t he actually work for the federal court system and not the ferrets directly? I don’t really know how this works.
They chose him, they can unchoose him and get the court to appoint another steward.

So it was 4 months since Keene was stuck at the zoo. Man time flies.

waiiit… onnnne… twoooo… ok, it raised three questions. Bite me, it’s the fifth day of a four day weekend and i’m a bit groggy.
The answer to #3 is “wolves”.
Wait, I guess months don’t actually work that way. Still groggy. Only one eye open. Waiting for the coffee to kick in. It was actually just before christmas.
Still not sure who goes to the zoo for christmas, but eh, maybe he was visiting some friends. I’m having trouble re-reading the dialogue.
Maybe if he tells the truth, he won’t get in trouble?
