Sorry, I spilled the ferretone on the legal briefs!
Ah yes the politics of Babylon Gardens!
Never thought I’d hear the word politics in this comic.
Oh no, the p word!
What about in this comic?
I don’t count that one. It was supposed to be a political cartoon. I’m talking about politics in the Housepets! universe.
What about the one with the communist mice?
They got eaten for trying to complicate things with politics
Why would a lawyer hired by ferrets have dignity?
because them ferrets paid enough to give him LOTSA dignity
Dignity doesn’t come cheap.
Am I the only one that’s want him to be my lawyer???
Oops, my bad 0_0;
In fact, I was sure I had put my bazooka just there…
That’s what the oops was for…I ate your bazooka : P
lol nice just very nice. So very well done there mister lawyer.
you’d think they coulda afforded to find a lawyer name Phoenix Wright. not the one from the game, just a lawyer with the same name.
That would be amazing! Plus I think the ferrets would force him to shout OBJECTION everywhere he went.
I was expecting Alan Shore and William Shatner… Now, THAT would be the winning ticket!
…and you can ALWAYS count on Good ole Jeeves!
Ask Jeeves Anything! He has the answer to Everything!
Jeeves can out-smart Karishad!
A battle between Jeeves and Karishad! Would be sooooo epic! o.o
That is unless he prefers Karishad over keene, or doesn’t care either way… or something… ehduno
By George, I think you have something there old chap!
He can surely do my homework!
He just doesn’t want to get fired again like what ask.com did to him.
who wants the lawyer to be named
the Lawyer is Mr. London
Ah, but what is his first name?
You REALLY want to know?
I don’t,the name Mr.London sounds classy as is.
I keep thinking Bridges. Seems somewhat suitable in this case.
Keene: ‘..:And HOW exactly did you LOSE the case?!’
Jeeves: London Bridges’s fallen down fallen down fallen down…’
Wow, that was so awful it was awesome
his first name is Mr.
Wait till he finds out the Zoo Staff Misplaced Keene. Oh the fun that will be.
Kardishad is on staff?
doubtful, but he DOES seem to get around a lot, doesn’t he? (I mean, we’ve seen him in several pens other than the fox one, is that allowed!?)
They don’t know it was Karishad, they do know the zoo staff had him.
And now thanks to Karishad the Ferrets have him ^^;; It’ll make a case more amazing than any seen on Law and Order!
How about the zoo turns over the wrong ferret? A twin look alike that does not like spending all the fortune and actually makes them even more money.
Bill Gates, step aside. Here comes Willy, the Ferret financial wizard!
“What you mean it’s illegal? And what is a ponzi sceme anyhow?”
shoulda named him Bernie
Okay. So, is he housebroken at least?
Going to save the Phoenix Wright jokes for later, huh?
HOLD IT!!! I think they will happen soon enough.
Objection! Phoenix Wright references are such old hat. I’d expect that kind of thing from this (http://youtu.be/WmOwNfzhkyQ?t=8m37s), not a classy comic like Housepets.
OBJECTION! No joke stealing! Snowmon no joke stealing!
Overruled! Making references and giving credit to the owner, whether directly or in directly is not stealing! It’s simply a reference. Just as the sources of your “OBJECTION!” comes from Phoenix Wright, a copyrighted franchise. Also I make no claim in creating the joke, which is why I included the link…
Reminds me of my backpack from 3rd grade.
Okay, admittedly, I was expecting was the same comic from Monday in reverse, while that fox would be stealing Keene’s identity. But a gorilla in a monkey suit is good too…
i can teel this is going to AWESOME!… and slightly beast mode! get it? BEAST mode? XP
Can some one tell me what’s gonig on here?
Miles & family go visit zoo.
Dizzy blondie tries to pet Miles.
Dizzie blondie faints into Miles’ arms.
Miles calls Keene.
Keene enters the scene. No one recognizes him.
Keene gets tricked by Karishad into the ferrets’ pen.
Jeeves sends for Milton lawyer.
WW III is expected to ensue.
I dont get it, whats important about what fell out of his suitcase? I just dont understand this one strip.
It’s generally not good to dump papers all over the person who you’re trying to intimidate. it kinda makes you lose respect for them, ya’know?
He’s going on about how the ferrets spent millions, so you can assume they spent millions on him, yet he can’t even afford a breifcase that will stay properly shut
Ummm… I don’ really get it, I’m REALLY bad at jokes like this… Some help? >_<"
The way I see it, the lawyer is posing and playing hardball, and then the briefcase goes “boof” at the most inopportune time spilling the contents over the desk. The opposite of intimidating, and the briefs are blank, basically the briefcase is a bluff.
The only thing that confuses me is the little yellow book. Seems out of place and when I first read it, I thought the “boof” noise was coming from it, like maybe because there was a mouse inside or something…
I think that’s the backside of the breifs. He put them in face-down specifically to save the artist time lettering.
The little yellow book is probably a planner or a law book.
Okay works for me.
And so, the lawyer goes on about respecting the wolves, while distractingly scoping papers back into his briefcase.
LOL at conveniently placed glass to hide lawyer’s eyes.
Makes me remember of when Opus got beak surgery and then there was the most improbable sequence of convenient hiding objects to avoid traumas in the readers…
I was thinking that it was odd to only have humans in the strip, but then I remembered the “cousins” arc.
not to mention the ‘a sinister shadow’ arc.
If you count Bill as human, that is.
Yes, there have been other occasional human-only strips, but the “cousins” arc was chocablock full of them.
Cousins arc? O_o”
Thomas and Celia Milton. I had to think to figure out what they meant. ^_^
Oh THAT one, okay true I did think aboot that one as well, but never though of it as cousin arc before.
Thx for the info.
lol fail i think he deeds a better case then the 1 that just opend on him
I read the lawyer’s voice in Lionel Hutz’s from the simpsons
*Cues Phoenix Wright debate music*
Is that supposed to be a gold brick in the briefcase?
Look pal, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Easy way is me just taking all your money and assets, and the hard way is me taking all your money and assets LEGALLY.
A lawyer that lacks dignity? I want one!
Wait what? I never understood politics or anything like that…
“So, you rest your case, then?” XP
On a side note, I hope we get to see Miles’s cubs getting into trouble before this is all over.
I’ve been reading this comic from start to finish since yesterday, I just want you to know I think it’s probably one of my favorite comics to date ^^
I also gotta thank you for renewing my inspiration to make comics again after ending my long running comic in my local newspaper (it’s Norwegian, you wouldn’t understand a word)
Keep it up, Rick, and have a delightful holiday!
welcome to the Housepets family FatalFox! stay posted, things get really intense here! XD
oh of course, reading every single strip I know how crazy it can get, and also how enjoyable it all ends up being ^^
I’m having the tv series syndrome though, I end up watching all episodes on dvd and when I’m finished I suddenly have to WAIT for more awesomeness xP
well… that can’t be good.
agreed. this doesnt look good at all =/
It would be ironic if said notification fell from his briefcase.
