So anyway, I have been in Chicago all weekend at Midwest Fur Fest selling books to people and having a pretty awesome time all around. This has been one of the best weekends I have probably had in a very long time.
So, on Friday, I totally had a panel on making comics, which I had been given due to Blotch not being able to attend (Blotch being the duo that is making the comic Nordguard.) So along with the very generous help of Astolpho (The Dawn Chapel) and Mitti (Peachy Keen) we actually managed to put together what I heard was a rather good panel despite being completely unprepared.
Basically, we talked shop and tried to keep a sort of structure to it.
Anyway, the above comic you see is what happened near the end of the panel; originally the panel had promised ‘taking a comic from beginning to completed page’ and so I drew this while they explained the concept of rising action, conflict and resolution. Also it’s really silly.

I personally got a kick out of this comic…. Errr I am not really sure what it is about though.
He saw a squirrel and couldn’t get the door open so he went to his owner who opened the door for him after he bugged him a bit.
The squirrel made the dog run into a window.
Then the owner opened it.
Maybe.
Oh. The person looks like a refrigerator.

I suspected he was a common house hole appliance as well, then I realized that made literally no sense!!! XD
As always, I read the text entry before the comic, which meant I did not suffer under this false assumption.

My dogs are teased by passing deers, and they can’t get to them due to the fence.

All I remember is today finally getting away from my table in the dealers den, seeing you, saying HEY I read your comic, and your look. THE LOOK, that says I have heard that 9000 times now go die. So I felt bad and said something like, I guess you have heard that a lot. You then state, YES… yes I have… and put your head down sounding very annoyed. I walked off. I dunno if it was a bad moment or what. Sorry if I offended you somehow.
Oh I was not annoyed in the least! I was busy but you really ought to know I was smiling the entire time, I was just going along with it!
heh i chuckled at this :3 i live nearby chicago but don’t have too much money for conventions. basically i just save up for A-Cen, for those who don’t know thats Anime Central, and blow it all there. i have been wanting to try to go to Midwest Fur Fest but its not a top priority. Anyways, Chicago isn’t the greatest this time of year. So cold! D: And what you did in six minutes would take me like an hour or so. my sister got all the artistic talent i got all the electronic talent.

Dogs, in summary.
This reminds me of Diane Duane’s character “Ponch”. He’s a dog who belongs to a wizard, and gets a kind of wizardly power himself… he can create toy universes. So he creates a universe full of squirrels who are just a little too slow to escape, and aren’t really hurt when he catches them so he can chase them again.
