King’s eyes got bigger o_o
I think that’s the first time any Housepets character has gotten that look. Holy cow he’s really smitten.

Yes… I can’t remember any other characters hitting the velvets either… not even Peanut when he is crushing on Grape. Which I imagine is still a bit of a thing for him… oh well; C’est la vie.

If she continues on being this likable, at least a couple readers are likely to want to go native themselves…
She’s the right kinda ‘country gal’, so heck yeah I’d want that x3
I could live with some social disadvantages – the whole ‘being an animal’ and a lesser species to human and all – if I got a girlfriend like that to back me up

Maybe… After all, we got King (permanently) right after/on Christmas just two years ago.
His Doggy (birth)Day (and Debut) anniversary is on December 2nd. King’s turning two dog years old, that’s liek somewhere between 11 and 14 dog years (depending on the system)
‘Housepets’ age differently than real animals, the dogs, cats and others that make up the main cast live twice their normal lifespan.

I know that I said something like this before, but love will do that…
All of our ancestors used to think that Love was a brain eating decease and should be avoided at all costs.
Well yeah, but this isn’t just love, this is a rather bitter human turned into an adorable cute little dog with the same grumpy brain, traumatized by both mundane and cosmic problems not to mention the stress of keeping his identity secret… in love with someone who would normally be a different species. That’s epic brain scrambling right there, not just being twitterpated!
Not to mention he lives with both the ferrets and wolf cubs… If his brain’s not scrabbled mush with a side of bacon by now, I don’t know what will do it.

I’m personally trying to decide how this chapter is going to end (and naturally my very pragmatic mind is locking straight on to the sad and negative possibilities). Also very well drawn strip, getting very good with expressions.
You and me both matey, the cuter this gets the more worried i’m getting at outcome.

Pete was originally going to use Grape as his avatar, so we know he doesnt care if he plays a male or female. He wont be locked up forever, and hes going to want to both win the game and make King suffer some more. Think he might try to use Bailey as his pawn?
Im sure someone will point out some rule for the game that would prevent this, but since when have the rules stopped Pete?
With King’s luck and consistant denial of happiness it would not surprise me.

Good point. Maybe Dragon or the Kitsune should invite Cerberus, Pete’s ex-girlfriend, to play. She wouldn’t be able to stop all his doings, but it might keep him in line more frequently and for longer time periods.
Don’t even joke about that, Pete is locked away dang it!
The bigger problem with Pete picking Bailey as an Avatar is the fact that is is outside of BG which as far as we know is where the game is being played. It would put him at a massive disadvantage. I have a feeling hes not even going to be allowed to mess with King anymore anyway (even in Avatar form) so I’m still going with Max or Bino as the likely choices for Pete (with Max being a bit more likely since he is closer to both Grape who he wanted first and Dragon among a few other reasons). Though if he is allowed to mess with King Sasha and Fox are also likely.
Well… if Pete get’s a full avatar, all bets are off. The status of having a full avatar apparently affords the player a lot more freedom and would probably nix the stipulation of King being off-limits as he would no longer be an avatar candidate.
This, of course, all hinges on Pete not being locked up. One would hope stealing a soul would be a significant enough offense to merit some form of detainment…
I’m assuming that he would have to follow it if either Heaven or Kitsune or both told him to stay away. I’m sure if Heaven told him to stay away he would have to as that would over ride the game if Kitsune didn’t tell him to as well
Ah, but Kitsune’s ruling could be interpreted to mean that King is only off limits until Pete has an avatar like Dragon.

I am trying to imagine what would happen to Rick, if he made King and Bailey a couple, and then turned king back to being human. Pretty sure all the king fans (almost everyone reading this commit) would show up at Ricks doorstep.

LOve is in the air for this little corgi and today hes confirming it with the sweet scent of love!
Just look at those puppy dog eyes. You can practically hear his heart skip a beat MORE AS THIS CONTINUES!
King’s designs are getting cuter by the strip. I just now noticed that King’s ears drop lower in each panel. I’m guessing this is a progress of emotions. 2nd panel – Gratitude. 3rd panel – a tingle of awkward attraction, clearly stifled by indecision, *sniffs*. 4rth panel – “Good god i want her!”.
Two questions still remain “Is she single?” and “Does fox really approve”.
as for the first question, that remains to be seen.
as for the second, it’s a safe bet that Fox does approve. Heck, he openly tried to encourage King to think of himself as a cute ladykiller

Extended scene: Bailey bursts out of the water in slow motion, watch in (mouth), then in slow-motion saunters onto shore while the water glistens in her fur like a million tiny diamonds. The world around her fades to a sultry black and goes quiet as she gracefully crosses the yard to King, his knees quaking with passion. Only when she finally speaks does the rest of the world reluctantly slide back into existence.
