ok i’m going to guess that either your asking what to the current comic because:
A. you haven’t read the arc from the start ; go read it from the start and it might make some sense.
B: your confused about the gold needle ; comment below yours answered it apparently
C: your wondering why a ghost would need a therapist ; ghosts are typically defined as souls who have something holding them back, troubled spirits, some just need psychological help to get past it
What really had me dumbfounded at the moment of reading this last night is how all of a sudden the ghost appeared there, the comment below answered that although I wasn’t asking myself about the needle.
I think you’re right about using it to attract the ghost.
When he says turnabout is fair play, I believe he’s saying “If you can drop little critters into my lap, then I can drop supernatural beings into yours.”
hey rick, one panel three, i think you mean “turnabout *is* fair play” rather than “turnabout *it* fair play” Or i may just be my tired eyes seeing misspellings from editing essays for my midterm x.x
Two things I’m missing here – first is what she’s holding in panel three, second is what the last few words of that letter are… For the life of me I can’t read them.
the trinket seems is from the stolen gold, so it allows Teoxihuitl to appear (pay back for having to take care of all the wounded animals she gives him)
That…is adorable. At risk of sounding like a beggar, which I generally try to avoid, we totally need an arc with Fido and Sabrina in the focus. That being said, I was most pleased with this arc featuring the K-9s. Very well-done, and very engaging.
And I have to say Fido has magnificent handwriting. So consistent! ;D
Sabrina, you need to leave… whatever you call what you’re doing… to the professionals! Like Ghost Nappa! ….on second thought, you better just call the Ghost Busters…
not to make an odd statement. but he is wearing pants *sorta* the Aztec equivalent anyway. hope people dont think im making fun of the comic or anything. i just found it funny.
Did Sabrina get a psych degree from the University of Paranorama or something? Since when is she a licensed psychologist for pre-mortem trauma in post-mortem patients?
I’m only 17, and I believe that I’m entirely too young to understand the happenings of this comic. I honestly have no idea what was going on in the last 20 or so comics.
Some old Aztec treasure was stolen one day,
They called in the K-9’s to find a way
To return it to the man to whom it belongs.
The only thing missing were epic background songs.
Our heroes searched through the back of the truck
Only to receive quite a big shock!
They followed the bats into the dark night
Where waiting for them was another big fright.
A specter, a ghost, awaited the three
Despite their best efforts to hide behind “scree’s.”
The true villains then caught them, and tied them up tight.
But Spo had timely saved them, he used his mouse might.
During the untying, the ghost spoke with his mind.
He told Sargent Ralph what he had to find.
He was guarding the treasure for all of this time,
But he couldn’t keep the villains from crime.
He needed the living to help him that day
To stop the two thieves from getting away.
A symbol was scribbled on a note pad with haste
And the whole boat was moved to a more secure place.
What happened from there, we don’t know for sure,
But most likely those criminals will be a bother no more.
Yet the ghost was still sad, he had little faith.
Fido referred him to his girlfriends place.
So let me understand Teox’s story… He sunk a ship when he became a ghost, but then the treasure was salvaged, but then he scared the owner to set up a ploy to have OTHER people draw the symbol so it can be transported to a cave, but then the people turned on him, stealing the gold for themselves, so then he asked the K9-Cops to help him, and now the gold is in evidence, ‘cept for that needle, and mostly likely back to the person who salvage the gold… and Fido has set up his girl to be a ghost therapist… is that it a nutshell?
Even the dead need’s some help! lol
In a world like this, we all need a little help!
Who You gonna call? A therapist…
Interesting. Ghost therapy…
Dr. James Harvey might be willing to tell you more about it
Umm what?
ok i’m going to guess that either your asking what to the current comic because:
A. you haven’t read the arc from the start ; go read it from the start and it might make some sense.
B: your confused about the gold needle ; comment below yours answered it apparently
C: your wondering why a ghost would need a therapist ; ghosts are typically defined as souls who have something holding them back, troubled spirits, some just need psychological help to get past it
I did read the whole arc.
What really had me dumbfounded at the moment of reading this last night is how all of a sudden the ghost appeared there, the comment below answered that although I wasn’t asking myself about the needle.
I’m dumbfounded now!
So my work here is done.
That’s Terrible! How could you!
Anyone know what Sabrina is holding in the third panel? She doesn’t look happy about it…
I believe it is a trinket made from the Aztec gold, so she could attract the ghost.
Correct me if I’m wrong here!
Looking closer… it looks like a sewing needle. A gold sewing needle perhaps?
Completely wild guess here, but maybe, just maybe, it’s what was used to draw the pentagram-thingy on the wall?
I think you’re right about using it to attract the ghost.
When he says turnabout is fair play, I believe he’s saying “If you can drop little critters into my lap, then I can drop supernatural beings into yours.”
man, talk ABOUT ‘not forgetting’!
Does this mean we’ll see more of the awesome ghost?
She apparently does that quite often
Well, I don’t usually approve of therapy, but I think Sabrina is more certified for this kind of thing.
I’m super-happy that nobody questioned you about the inexplicable first half of your sentence.
Which, is always helpful to think on the right side of the brain.
hey rick, one panel three, i think you mean “turnabout *is* fair play” rather than “turnabout *it* fair play” Or i may just be my tired eyes seeing misspellings from editing essays for my midterm x.x
*on panel three
wow, even i’m doing it >.>
There is no grammar issue here. *waves hand*
You didn’t have a ghost of a chance of avoiding that joke.
it tends to sneak up behind ya
I see what you did there…
The “turnaround” time on that one was a little slow…
Two things I’m missing here – first is what she’s holding in panel three, second is what the last few words of that letter are… For the life of me I can’t read them.
The letter says: “Turnabout is fair play, sweetie! -Fido”. As for the trinket, I have no idea. Looks kinda sewing needle-ish.
the trinket seems is from the stolen gold, so it allows Teoxihuitl to appear (pay back for having to take care of all the wounded animals she gives him)
That’s along the lines of what I was thinking – Thanks.
Does she know that Peanut and Grape know about her secret crush on Fido?
I don’t THINK it was ever disclosed or picked up upon…
not a secret crush, they are dateing
It’s their dating that’s the secret.
wouldn’t be much of psychic if she didn’t knew P&G know…
Silly me.
I thought she grew a third leg when I first saw the forth panel.
Her tail IS really buff in this strip.
Wow, she has a buff tail. Did it used to be this buff?
Magical shrink?
No, I’m sure he’s there at his regular size
he’s a ghost. your puny physics need not apply.
Physics has no size. Argument invalid.
Badum *tish*
He was smaller in that other strip…
Sabrina could make a business out of this! Just needs some advertisement lol
Having trouble crossing over? Afraid of “The Light”? Then go to Sabrina! Therapy…for ghosts!
you win an internet.
And cookies
It does look like a gold sewing needle in panel three, yet I don’t get it, nor why the letter had to be handwritten. hmm…
Because it has to be written “by a living hand”?
Or maybe so no evidence of the needle’s disappearance is left on the police stations’ computers
the needle is from the Aztec gold so it allows the ghost to appear
now that i think about i don’t know why the letter is handwritten and not typed
Because you can’t Email a golden sewing needle. (Took me forever to figure that out.)
So consistent! ;D
Definitely think his handwriting is a very nice touch. Shows he’s definitely educated.
I’ll let his jumping-into-Ralph’s arms moment slide now >.>
Well, he did teach several of the pups how to read and write
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2008/09/12/mmm-foot-flavored-speech/
I told you so. They DID Drop a Boat on Terrance.
NEARLY drop on him
It was fun.
Oh my.
(Anyone who gets the significance of that wins a cookie!)
star trek generations! (the last thing kirk says in the film!)
TV Tropes will ruin your life.
I wonder how did Fido pass his mesoamerican history course, if he can’t even spell Teoxihuitl remotely correctly!
Multiple-choice tests?
Maybe the course had an oral exam…
lol nice way to involve Sabrina there Fido. XD
Ghost is looking hot…and down.
Sabrina: Great! I get to psychologically analyze a spectral Jaguar -_- (<< is not thrilled).
I guess even spirits have their problems
man, this ghost surely looks buff today!
Not as buff as Fido’s handwriting.
Oh, you mean because of this? http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/10/16/more-human-than-human/
Aww, no spectral analysis pun?
The ghost does look kinda blue, doesn’t he?
…I can’t believe I didn’t comment on this before:
Did Sabrina get a psych degree from the University of Paranorama or something? Since when is she a licensed psychologist for pre-mortem trauma in post-mortem patients?
Mis-cat-onic University.
Paranormal State.
Every time Sabrina shows up I smile.
XD; Oh, dear heavens, this is great. Genius, Rick, genius.
Best shrink evar!
So what now?
One-offs!
GRIDDLES!
Sick day.
I’m only 17, and I believe that I’m entirely too young to understand the happenings of this comic. I honestly have no idea what was going on in the last 20 or so comics.
I’m 15 and I understand so no, age is not the reason.

We have cookies! ^_^
Ancients spirits need counseling? o.o I thought all this time to roll around in afterlife would give them some otherwordly insight of many things.
…Tough crowd, tough crowd…
Aztec Gold

That was… Beautiful! *sniffle*
Now we need some music to go along with it!
You can sing anything to “Greensleeves”.
Im beginning to miss Fiddler and Keys anyway XD
I was wondering when you were going to make another one.
I follow the poetic style of Chauncer, I take inspiration from Nickleback.
you are really good
wow….awesome

A psychic psychiatrist… huh, well that’s a mouthful.
BTW what’s ghost of a chance exactly? *searches the net* Oh okay it’s a “very slim chance”. I looked it up cuz this is the last day and all.
What about a psychotic psychic psychiatrist?
Yeah, just what the world needs: a mindreading Dr. Hannibal Lectre.
Lecter, even.
Aw, it couldn’t be Turnabout so we could make the obligatory Ace Attorney reference?
Its friday shouldnt it update!?1
Here’s why:
