Did it occur to anybodythat maybe the cheetah ghost (or what ever he is) does not actuqlly like what these guys are doing, and maybe he is trying to reach out for help?
It may be false, it may be true, it may be true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.
Joel’s partner from the PETA arc. He was never given a formal name, and only listed in the tags as just “PETA”. Several comments were made about his weight, so “Fatty” wound up to be a convenient handle.
I guess that I can understand what the braided man’s argument. Criminals can hurt humans all they want, but if they hurt a fellow animal… er… you know what I mean. Cops are universally hated, animals are universally loved. Who knows what the Ghost is thinking or trying to say.
It’s not good from any standpoint. The penalty for hurting a police dog is as steep as hurting an officer, so they would get to deal with a much harsher sentence.
lol The ghost is really tiny. Also Yay! Spo and for some odd reason I like the fact that in this universe if you mess with even Police Animals you are in trouble with inmates.
You would be surprised how attached prisoners get to things that don’t judge them. I heard some pretty nasty stories about animal abusing prisoners while doing canine unit studies for my companion animal science course.
So I have to say, amazing work on the background. My only real qualm is that I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be some sort of rocky outcrop that’s being lit by the villains’ lamps/torches/whatever, or if they’re in a boat of some sort (why…I don’t know. Maybe left behind by the Aztec/Mayan ghost or summat). I also like the expressions you’re giving to the characters, especially Sergeant Ralph; hooray for more characterization!
I love the way that Rick uses the title attribute to make even more jokes. Also, I would like to thank Rick for indirectly helping me learn something for my class on making Web pages in HTML code. Specifically, looking at the Web page source taught me how to add mouse-over text to an image. Thank you so much, Rick!
Because of Monday’s strip, where he had his mouth open when the ninja pirates tied them up so quickly between one panel and the next they didn’t have time to change position.
I come here to give a simple opinion (not to be angry or anything, just want to give my comment)
Ta very good comics, but it seems unreal that:
1-bind and gag two dogs but only a bind him
2-the fact that they are tied so little time … I say from the point of view of logic, if a bound and gagged people to do nothing while working, not going to let teamed up with a free hand with the which could free the others, I think is “weird” but it is my opinion nothing more
Thank you very much for listening ^ ^ (actually read me) and I hope the next chapter
Hey, remember the last time we had two nefarious characters, with one of them kind of reluctant and the other a hardcore baddy? And the reluctant guy got turned into a corgi?
I mean, do not say that this evil … plus … it was obvious that the mouse was going to release, and that in the last frame of the previous comic was no longer in the dog’s head … just saying that would have been better They were exposed during this comic tied and the next to be released …
I really like Sergeant Ralph. x3
Who doesn’t?
He is quite a character.
Yes!!!! I knew little spo was ready to save the day!!!!! =3
With a bunch of sarcasm and self appreciation at the ready.
I thought he’d be wrapped in scotch tape (kuz ropes are too thick)
looks like the ghost shrunk himself to appear less threatening
And thus, be able to get help from these robbers!
Or is he just floating really far away?
Good point. It’s hard to grasp the perspective of Ralph’s gaze.
I agree with you wholeheartedly.
I think it really could be either it is kind of hard to tell for sure. We’ll find out on Friday most likely though. (I still say he just tiny)
Spo to save the day!!!
go spo! go spo! go S.P.O!!!!!!!!
Gahhh wonder what he’s saying….
Finally, a good use for your mouth.
I saw what you did there
Isn’t that from a movie? i only partly see what you did there.
Yeah, Shrek 2. Puss said it to Donkey.
http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Shrek_2
“Puss In Boots” section, second quote.
Did it occur to anybodythat maybe the cheetah ghost (or what ever he is) does not actuqlly like what these guys are doing, and maybe he is trying to reach out for help?
Exactly what I was thinking.
I’m 90% sure that he’s a leopard.
I’m 90% sure that he’s a ghost with an unknown name.
Tezcatlipoca. Remember that name.
We don’t know that for sure, even if it’s a good guess, it may be false.
It may be false, it may be true, it may be true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.
Or it’s just fake in a far rarer sense and in that case, I say, let’s eat.
Agreed, it’s every sense except “makes sense”. Let’s eat.
Hail Eris!
More likely he’s a Jaguar.
I’m 200% sure that he’s a jaguar.
Precisely so. Jaguars are sacred to Tezcatlipoca.
OMG I have been saying that for the past week or so.
Hurting a dog? Not only is he also gonna hear fom the inmates, he’s gonna he at from the PETA inmates!
not if they set them into the wild. the PETA inmates would love that.
Worse yet.
Would be ironic, and somewhat lucky, if these guys share a cell with “Fatty.”
Who?
Joel’s partner from the PETA arc. He was never given a formal name, and only listed in the tags as just “PETA”. Several comments were made about his weight, so “Fatty” wound up to be a convenient handle.
Thank you!
do you only show the faces of human bad guys, Rick? or is that a coincidence?
also, you should have a tag for “human faces” just to make it easier to keep count.
Nefarious villains isn’t good enough for you?
that doesn’t include Joel, Thomas, or Celia and also include the Spot villains.
The good guys lost parts of their faces in a trans-dimensional rift.
That was no transdimentional rift, it was a chronsynclastic infundibulum!
Curse your big word usage!
I didn’t start it!
He did show Earls face and Officers Bill’s face as well.
full face. the top of Earl’s face is always covered, and Bill’s always either wearing a helmet with a visor or sunglasses.
Bill showed up with his full face visible at the Wolves’ welcome party, he’s younger than you’d think and apparently likes his meat really rare.
I repeat. Sunglasses.
Perhaps, it just made sense in this context to me
Spo is n par with ShortStop and the Ewoks…
do you mean Short Round, from Indiana Jones? ’cause short stop is either a restaurant or baseball position…
I disagree, If you pet a police man you’ll just get thrown in jail.
If you pet his dog you’ll get bitten, yelled at in German/Russian and thrown in jail.
If you pet a Housepets Police Dog, “heaven” help you and pray that you’ll make it to jail.
Disagree with what? I’m sure that in a universe comprised of talking animals the penalty would be unbelievable.
Then it’s a good thing they don’t have tanuki on the police force.
Or do they, in Japan?
I think the Gost was about to say, “SILENCE!”
lol The ghost is really tiny. Also Yay! Spo and for some odd reason I like the fact that in this universe if you mess with even Police Animals you are in trouble with inmates.
It is not inaccurate in RL either.
Really? I know if you hurt kids your a dead man in any jail but I never heard the same for pets, let alone them doing it for police animals.
You would be surprised how attached prisoners get to things that don’t judge them. I heard some pretty nasty stories about animal abusing prisoners while doing canine unit studies for my companion animal science course.
the ghost appears to actually be kinda far away. not tiny.
No I think he just tiny since I think he would have to be very far away to look like that considering how big he was before.
they’re in a boat, moving further away with each second.
Is it just me, or is Ralph just milking that helpless look in panel 2?? :b
Does it not work? :3
It’s a sign they’re doomed…Unless their Bill, he’s too awesome to be affected by that rule.
No wonder Fido didn’t seem too concerned in the previous comic. Always has a plan!
:3
For a moment I read “plan!” as “plant”…
He always has a plant
Are you calling Spo a vegetable?
Nah, he’s more of a dairy byproduct.
That was a cheesy response.
The cheese thing is a stereotype, you know
My Frank loves peanuts, sunflower seeds, lettuce, and any kind of berries.
Wha–? Your Frank?
And Spo temporarily saves the day!
This can only end badly for our antagonists.
as a side note: The book looks great!
Magic Fido! He can turn invisible to allow important things to be seen through him!
actually, I think Fido is slightly further up than Ralph, meaning that in panel 2, he’s slightly off panel.
Mouse in da House!….and so is an ancient Aztec ghost…..A new challenger approaches! Spo vs. ???
Except that it’s actually a boat
Hmm… He is either listening to the ghost or to the robbers…
Maybe both. 0_0
Who would you rather deal with? Tiny ghost or tiny mouse?
Are they in a boat or something?
Okay so the thugs know about the ghost and AREN’T running for their lives? … BOY talk abut hard core. XD
Ummm… I don’ know, what’s the point of the third panel now? O_o”
I think they’re on a boat sailing down the river.
“Would you could you on a boat?
Could you would you with a ghost?”
Then you placed upon that post
Your knowledge of children’s books to boast!
Why should I put away childish things if I don’t have to?
I think these are the only people with faces, or at least the first in a while. Not counting Joel because he’s King now.
And so, multiple questions were answered instantaneously.
And new questions arose with the answering of the old ones.
I hate my life
They bad-guy keep going on like that, and the dogs will want to be sent back. XD
Also I don’t think the ghost is tiny, guys, I think it’s just off in the distance.
Don’t push it SPO. Especially when you are the smallest one in the group…
You just wanna show off that pretty cover, that’s why you keep putting it on the comic comments. :3
What is that ghost doing, anyway?
and its hilarious alt-text
Spo to the rescue! XD
What Happened to the Mouse? He was hiding! Go, Spo, and your runtiness!
Hmmm…looks like the ghost is trying to communicate.
Well-drawn humans, Rick! Good for a comic artist to show their competence in multiple subjects once in a while. ^^
It’s taken me far too long to start settling on this style of eyes when drawing cartoon humans. I think it helps a lot.
Way to go on drawing better humans
I have a problem drawing eyes for anything, it really is easier just to hide them in various ways.
Practice practice practice……
The hardest part(s) of the human body, when drawing in perspective, are the hands and feet.
I can’t help but think of Spo as a master troll…
Are they…. in a rowboat?
Three Dogs in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Mouse), obviously by the HP! universe equivalent of Jerome K Jerome.
Original here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/308
So what’s with the close-up of the ghost’s mouth? Is that supposed to hint at something? Because if it is, then it’s REALLY vague…
If you could lip-read cartoon felines, it would be obvious!
But he’s speaking in Nahuatl!
Point. A veritable point.
Why is Ralph the only one with no mouth ties?
Because of Monday’s strip, where he had his mouth open when the ninja pirates tied them up so quickly between one panel and the next they didn’t have time to change position.
Gah, noooo. There can be no ninja pirates, such a creature simply cannot exist. They are sworn enemies, like vampires and werewolves.
They’re *monkey* ninja pirates.
Like these? http://thewannabepirates.com/?p=1674
Horray for Spo!
Hello
I come here to give a simple opinion (not to be angry or anything, just want to give my comment)
Ta very good comics, but it seems unreal that:

I’d say it actually speaks well of Spo’s character that he didn’t leave them tied up for long.
I wonder what that ghost will do — besides frightening the daylights out of them.
And for some reason, I imagined the criminal’s voices as the ones from Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Hey, remember the last time we had two nefarious characters, with one of them kind of reluctant and the other a hardcore baddy? And the reluctant guy got turned into a corgi?
I think King needs a new buddy, you know…
I highly doubt Rick would do the exact same plot again.
He could be a dachshund instead.
or maybe a cat.
Cornish Rex
I mean, do not say that this evil … plus … it was obvious that the mouse was going to release, and that in the last frame of the previous comic was no longer in the dog’s head … just saying that would have been better They were exposed during this comic tied and the next to be released …
