A cameo is when characters who are not normally in a show/comic are given screen/strip time in said show/comic. While we are stretching the definition a bit (cameos usually only apply to characters that are from an entirely different show/comic), Fiddler and Keys are both seen here when they are not main characters; ergo, this is a cameo. Again, stretching the definition a bit, but you get it.
It could be a cameo in the sense that Fiddler and Keys are not characters in this particular arc…
Yeah, I meant that they just appear out of nowhere and probably won’t appear in the rest of the arc
There is a web comic called Freefall (I actually first learned of it through a comment made on a comic during the arc “The Vet”), and starting with the strip http://freefall.purrsia.com/ff1400/fc01390.htm and ending with http://freefall.purrsia.com/ff1500/fc01476.htm there were cameos made by robots from other web comics, television shows (such as K9 from Doctor Who), movies, comic books and a few from real life. On a totally unrelated note, I had no clue Zach was a nerd. Although I highly doubt he is a bigger nerd than me
Though I worry for Fid’s choir outfit…
Given the context of the arc, it is a really clever way to fit them into all this. All you really need to know about the LOTR reference is that it was a really cool moment in the film, and Zach kinda talks about the details. The joke of course is that it didn’t work in real time, but you can get the joke without having seen the film.

**spoiler alert**
The order was given by Denethor, Steward of Gondor (the most powerful human kingdom in Middle Earth). The reason he gave such a ridiculous order is because he was, at the time, grief-stricken over his lost son (Boromir, who died at the end of the first film). He takes out his grief (and, with it: rage) on his other son, Faramir.
He says himself (Denethor, that is) that he wished that Faramir had died instead of Boromir. In a last attempt to gain favor with his father, Faramir accepts the suicide mission to charge in to attempt to retake the river settlement, Osgiliath, which you see in the above video.

It’s probably one of the most emotional scenes in any of the movies. And it’s also got one of my favorite songs. Love Pippin. <3
How could u have never watched LOTR, it’s only the most pinnacle fantasy movie ever. It alone sets the stage for every fantasy movie afterwards.

Hold on, now I get it. The choir cat was singing the song, While Keys (I’m guessing) was playing some form of violin music. Also quite possibly sped up to compensate for the slow motion effect.

pretty simple joke…
the third movie… Faramir gets hated because he’s not Boromir.. and is sent by his father on a suicide mission with all the horseknights of the white city to try to reconquer Osgiliath..
and the father asks pippin to sing while he eats.. and at the same time the unit of Faramir gets massacred by the orcs…
so theres a huge war in slowmo in the housepets world..where Zach is almost getting hit left and right.. and Fiddler and keys are singing the LOTR theme XD

Having not seen “The Return of the King”, what this reminds me of is the shootout in “FaceOff” where all one hears is the music playing on the baby’s headphones: “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, while what one sees is a fairly typical John Woo gunfight (which is about ten to a hundred times more terrific than a fairly typical movie gunfight).
Unfortunately, Christopher Tolkien burned me out on his father’s work long long ago.

Except as Max said he bought the guns from his contact with Catnip why in the world would Peanut want Catnip (I mean I know hes a Cat Lover and all but I doubt he would need it,except I guess to maybe give it to Grape,but that doesn’t make much sense since she could just get it from Max if she wanted) and King would need it even less so.
I think Peanut would just give them the water guns if they asked him anyway.
