Wow I get it now…so slow. Good one.
Hehe, it was a little confusing to me at first but when ingot to the last strip, I noticed it. It was a pretty cheesy joke though (did I say that right?)

He is joking with the word “dear”. That animal is a deer. He said “dear” three times and it sounds like “deer”. Finally she said that she saw three familiars of the deer. Do you get it now?

Naw. If anything, it’s a trick of the coloring. The only other deer we’ve seen in the comic had half of its face white, while of the two kangaroos, one had its chin white like that:

Max nix. First, I don’t think there’s much distinction between cartoon macropods. Maybe, if he was a pretty-faced wallaby or something… but if anything, a wallaroo’s face may be a little broader than a red or grey kangaroo… they’re smaller and chunkier animals.

Usually there’s a week of one-offs between stories, Rick’s great about them too as he tends to focus them characters other than the normal or most recent ones so they are still great fun.
Generally speaking, I will laugh at the most groan-worth of puns, but this is completelt unworthy of anything. I’m sorry, but that was just… No. It is not good.

Actually, Rick himself had said that he’d be tempted to use “Boy, Fido sure does look muscular, even moreso than usual” as an alt text or similar because that’s basically what folks end up saying anyway. The almighty 404 is simply taking this idea and running with it by using other characters.
I tend to do that quite often. Taking a joke and running with it. And I think Rick sees what I did there.

Have you ever stopped to think about the anatomy required for characters to have those huge eyes? Their eyeballs would have to overlap each other inside their skulls and take up most of the room usually reserved for the brain.
