Good work, Rick, this fits him perfectly, I think.
He did, on the first comic of the arc. It got snagged on a branch and broke. You can’t really blame him that the cause was so horrifically mundane.
Oh, I know, but I’d like to know what happened during the week of computer errors. Still, Bino’s version is sure to be hilarious for its outrageous claims.
Perhaps Max will tell us – if he was there the first time, there’s no way he’ll help Bino keep that version quiet…
At least, not without an appropriate bribe… e.e

I doubt it. After all, even Rex doesn’t seem to believe it.
No I mean did Rick plan the arc this way before the computer problems (having them record it and what not) or is it this way because of the computer problems.
As Wolf said, I doubt it. Rick probably had to change up some things or completely rewrite the script because of the computer problems.
If its true that’s rather disappointing IMO. I would really like to know what the original plan was then.

Why do i have the feeling this won’t end well for somebody?
While they’re doing the video recap, they’ll accidentally catch a shot of the Milton Relatives in the background, and for the next three strips we’ll watch Bino and the Miltons having painfully wacky misadventures as they just miss meeting each other while they each try and regain control of the tape (which will turn out to have been accidentally swallowed by a bear).
That…that’s genius.

You see, this is why you should never let actors direct, let alone direct things they also star in. Now our “whimsy” adventure of personal growth is 2 weeks late, there’s a hole in the 4th wall the size of a semi, and there are ferrets hanging from the chandelier. The last one might have been there to start with though.

Any pet who would have, knowingly or not, delayed the return of Rex with Bino’s spare collar is deemed one who means Bino harm in his own twisted mindscape.

What I’m saying is, in the original version, not this reenactment, perhaps Rex was to be held up by others whilst searching for a new collar? I’m putting emphasis on his detainment, not on those who detained him.
But this is all a guess. We really have no idea how much Bino is changing the original story.
Technical point – the registration of the background and text-bubble layers seems to be a smidgen off from the frame border layer in some of the frames.
Heh X3 (Though I really do wanna see what was originally planned for this arc. It would be kinda funny to see it played out all like this, though.)
This arc deserves a prize for “Most Flexible Storytelling”
Seriously, this feels like a completely natural development, especially considering it’s Bino after all. I’ll call that empty week a blessing waiting to show itself.
I don’t believe in coincidences, so perhaps the computer crashed at just the right time in the storyline (right at the beginning) for Rick to modify it so.
Or maybe, Rick sabotaged his own computer so he could do this!

Hopefully the Arc shows what really happened and not some hyperbolized interpretation of bino’s as the original comic of the arc got me very excited.
Here’s the thing: Rick’s computer problems caused us to miss the original adventure, so we’re being treated to Bino’s redux.

You know, I’m honestly gonna be kinda disappointed if the entire arc is being changed to fourth-wall-breaking stuff like this.
I repeat: pets having trouble operating video cameras is perfectly in-universe. If we consider Wednesday’s strip non-canon, then Bino is recording this for his own devious purposes and we can enjoy it.
In short, you are free to ignore any hole the fourth wall may or may not have.
It totally happened. This is clearly not a lie being recorded. Bino is a tough guy.
