Eastern Central Time huh? That’s quite the contradiction. I wasn’t aware ECT existed.. Is that like right inbetween Eastern Standard Time and Central Standard Time?
Yes. Exactly. Grape, on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the cutest, is a 9999999999999999999999999999999999999!!!! AND THAT IS WWWWAAAAAAYYYY OVER 9000!!!!!!
I see I must present to you the unofficial universal rules of pie eating.
First, you take one to three bites from the front (depending on bite size), so as to shorten the length of the pie base and increase stability.
The next step is to eat the crust at the back of the pie, being careful not to know the slice over. This prevents the pie from falling backwards as you eat by removing the weight of the crust.
Finally, eat from “front” (narrower end) to “Back” (where the crust was).
Generally, one should use the edge of the fork to slice the pie rather than the points of the tines, as this allows for a smoother cut with less chance of knocking over the pie piece; one must be careful however, to keep the bites thin, since a thicker slice increases the chance of droppage, spillage, or crumbs, which are equivalent to wasted pie when in the company of strangers or authority figures.

HONEY PIIIIE!
HONEY PIIIIIE!”
– first verse of “Wild Honey Pie” by The Beatles (written by Paul McCartney).
It’s the second verse too. The third verse is slightly different at the end.
Pi day is March 14 but most people will write the date as 3/14 and the fourteenth was on monday.
My 7th grade math teacher was awesome she loves Pi and had us celebrate it early so we actually sang songs about Pi on Wednesday and had a party on Friday. Don’t ask about what happened on Thursday I wasn’t there in that class Thursday and no I did not ditch I love math it is one of my favorite subjects. Are school has a finals schedule on the last two days before our break.
I think he means a new arc. We usually have at least a week of one-offs between arcs, just to hbe everyone a bit of a breather, and put in a couple of short visits to the less recently seen characters.
You can just tell by the way Grape’s squinting in the first 3 frames that she’s thinking “I’M GOING TO KILL PEANUT FOR MESSING UP MY SCHEDULE.” Although, I don’t know how to do a serious face with the side keys.
I love how expressive the ears are… the whole art style just tickels my cute-bone so well. The jokes are great too, and even when stuff gets all serious sam there’s always a punch-line to be found somewhere…
I kinda marathoned this comic last night, but I just wanna say kudos. A wonderful job, and I look forward to future updates.
Yeah I don’t know why she didn’t.
But i might’ve been right about her going back to sleep right away (comment from last strip). Or maybe she slept ’til it was night time again.
Ye.. no. I know that’s me, but I know I wrote something else. I don’t remember what it was, but if it was changed by a mod, it’s a pretty weird thing to change it to. The alternative is my computer’s acting funny.
And anyway, impersonating me, when my avatar alters between 10 different situation-appropriate images, is way too much trouble.
the answer’s in zzz’s comment. I accidentally spelled it wrong but I spelled another word right which makes it funny irony because Grape’s totally P.O.ed which is the opposite of cheerful. XD Because what I realy posted wanted to say was Cherry.
The rating of the comic is PG; your comments should not exceed that rating. This also means you should not use profanity. Attempting to bypass the profanity filter will count against you.
Your comments should be relevant to the current comic; please take all off-topic discussion to the forums. You should not post “first,” “lol,” or any other one-word response that does not contribute to the conversation. Do not re-post the alt-text unless you have an actual comment to go along with it.
Do not abuse or belittle other posters.
Don’t correct others’ grammar or spelling unless they specifically request it; this is annoying and downright rude. (This is not an excuse to use intentionally poor spelling and grammar.)
Don’t post spam or advertisements.
Do not under any circumstances argue with, ignore, or impersonate a moderator (or Rick, obviously).
Comments that violate these guidelines are subject to deletion. Repeat offenders and those guilty of serious violations may be banned without warning.
While I do agree to all of these rules, I would like to point out that there is a bit of subjectivity in the “on topic” policy (though its always been reasonable here).
One could go to an extreme and say that anything not directly related to the strip being commented on is off topic, even to the point of not allowing replies.
On the other hand, there needs to be moderation to ensure that we don’t clutter up the comments TOO badly.
But what is it that differentiates a joking comment on what makes an emoticon from wishing someone a happy birthday or from a palisade of text on how to eat pie?
_____
In addition, what exactly constitutes “arguing” with a moderator? Obviosly, you shouldn’t be belligerent, but what about this comment? I’m not trying to be rude, but the tone of my text is almost entirely subject to the disposition of the reader. Someone may, based on an uncountable number of factors, react to this in an uncountable number of ways.
_____
there was a commenter here called “Sonic id Furreh”, though I haven’t noticed any posts by them recently, who deliberately used typos. It wasn’t to annoy or be rude, it was just a quirk. Is that ban-worthy?
______
the posting of the alt-text served a valid purpose: there are many readers who don’t always have access to a computer, so they read on phones or iPods and such; this means they can’t exactly hover their mouse over the image to read the alt text, so unless it’s posted they miss out on at least half the joke. Heck, sometimes the alt text IS the joke. I have a laptop I have to take with me every morning, so I pack it up. I love reading the updates as soon as I can, though, so use my iPhone to read and comment. Yes, this was all written on my iPhone. Yes, my thumbs do hurt.
______
All I’m trying to do is point out that there isn’t always a clear right or wrong when someone MIGHT be doing something wrong. I have ADHD, so I tend to go off on tangents when my mess wear off. Does that mean that I can be banned for something that I can’t change about myself, that I have to be vigilant against at every moment?
If I point out, even politely, that someone used the wrong form of a word, does that comment get deleted because I was trying to point out something that costs people opportunities because they misuse a word on their resume or college application?
I agree that we need moderators; their whole purpose is to make this an enjoyable, friendly setting. But when they penalize someone who wasn’t doing anything wrong, it frustrates me. ESPECIALLY if it isn’t consistent. Why delete a short comment on emoticons, but leave one three times as long that cover how to eat PIE alone? Wouldn’t that one be more distracting? And isn’t its claim to “relevance” tenuous at best?
______
I notice a lot of new faces around here, and that’s great. I love seeing that this comic, one of my first regular webcomics and definitely my favorite, is getting exposure, bringing in new fans.
But what happened to all the old faces? All the people who used to comment twenty times in as many minutes, but haven’t posted in months?
I don’t read the forums, so my only way to gauge readership is right here in the thick of things, and I don’t see very many of the old guard left.
I understand your concern and I’d be happy to address these issues with you. First, not all offenses warrant the same punishment. Someone who (for example) makes an off-topic comment will not receive the same response as someone who impersonates Rick or posts links to pornographic content.
The difference between a discussion of emoticons and a discussion of pie is that pie is relevant to the current comic. Grape is eating pie. This is the comment section for a Web comic. It’s not a general discussion community; if you’re looking for that, you’ll find it at the forums.
If a moderator tells you to get back on topic and you refuse to do so or make a flippant remark, that would constitute arguing with a moderator.
Posting the alt-text has not been completely proscribed; we only ask that you include it in a comment about the comic so it’s not just another contest (like saying “first”).
You don’t have to worry about others’ grammar and spelling abilities. If someone wants that kind of assistance, they will generally make it known. On the opposite end of that spectrum, we communicate entirely through text here. If we cannot understand each other, what is the point? The user you mention is active on the forums; she quit typing like that.
If you’re trying to claim that moderation has led users away, there is no evidence to support such a conclusion. People come and go. A lot of them stop posting on the comic when they join the forums. I see people like Frank and Argent Stonecutter on every new comic. I’ve been here since the beginning, but have been more active on the boards. Don’t worry, all of us have sound judgment and none of us are jerks. We thought it’d be good to codify these guidelines as a standard so we could moderate consistently and you folks would know what to expect.
Alright. As I said I don’t go on the forums, but I certainly did not mean to imply that moderation was an issue with people leaving. I’m not always very coherent.
I also hope that I didn’t appear to be antagonistic or belligerent in any way, and, as I said, I understand and agree with the rules. It’s just that it’s been a while since I’ve been active here, so I’m a bit out of sync with that ever-present, gradual shift of how things work.
Glad to hear everyone is still around, I’d worried a bit about that. I suppose I’ll end up getting on the forums too, but it’s something I’ve been avoiding. Always afraid of change, and whatnot.
I’m just glad to clear things up, and I’m sorry that it turned into something I suppose could be defined as a rant — not my intention.
The guidelines are new; this is only the second strip they’ve been posted on, so everyone’s still getting used to them. I would have been surprised if there weren’t questions.
I guess if anyone else has questions, you can post them here, but please don’t comment about walls of text; that is certainly pointless.
Yesterday, I expressed concern over the fourth rule, which I referred to as “No Grammar Nazism”.
It is frequent for grammar (and spelling) mistakes to allow for misinterpretation. Experimental evidence has shown that people rarely correct themselves (or request being corrected), as they usually “know what they meant”; yet if something can be misinterpreted –by Murphy’s Law– it will be; and this misinterpretation is likely to not be in the form of a “specific request” to correct the spelling/grammar error.
I, on several occasions, have corrected spelling (search the site for “Spelling Nazi” for some examples http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3AHousepetscomic.com+“Spelling+Nazi” and yes, I am aware some of the results show how ugly this can get – and hence the reason for the rule’s existence). Ostensibly, I try to limit my corrections to cases where the mistake may be lent to such a misinterpretation. However, this “liability to misinterpretation” proves –more often than not– to be subjective until pointed out.
Which is why I repeat my question from yesterday: How strict is the rule on Grammar Nazism exactly?
It’s not the worst thing you can do, but it can get under someone’s skin. I’d advise that if there’s a situation where something could be horribly misinterpreted, you’re probably fine asking for clarification. If it’s a common error that’s not going to cause mass hysterics, don’t worry about it. Talking about comments is not really the purpose of this area, it’s for discussion of the comic.
As someone else with ADHD, I must commend you on having the attention span to bother addressing these issues in such a long and inclusive manner while on an iPhone. (I am on my iPod touch due to computer problems) I concurr on everything you have said.
-You really need to join the fourms, that was a way long post.
-People come and go all of the time. One poster I think your worried about got offended after being told to listen and stopped posting. Can’t be helped.
-ADHD is no excuse. I have it and I can still focus.
-Alt text posting was okey. What was not was a dozen or more people fighting over it to see who posted it first and the wild tangents that resulted from it which had nothing at all to do with the comic.
Lucky. I wish I could be a mod, but that would be pointless seeing that everyone seems to be behaving. All I can ask is not to let your power go to your head, I’ve seen it happen more than enough times to heed you with certainty.
the ides of march you know when ceasar was told to beware the ides of march pie day is also in march so its funny!
also I love grapes face in the last strip
I guesDaylight Savings Time (DST) through Grape off so much that she forgot that “PI Day” was on Monday…I hope she calms down later so she doesn’t develop an upset stomach…Pleae forgive ;however, due to view other comments I feel that I need to make a reference to this…Hey Grape,”Why so serious?!”, (“The Joker”; Dark Knight)…please forgive me for the momentary drift off topic…As well as for the long comment…
I’m still here,Despite being new,I still read the comic,But have stopped posting because i am still confused about that thing argent said…..,I think he called me a person begging for attention,I never found out what it meant.
I was just referring to Benneton’s ad campaign, because they got some flack about it from idiots. Good golly, I didn’t mean to stop you posting with it.
FINALLY. It may have taken four days of two-hour-comp-sessions, but I’ve read Housepets! from beginning to now. :’D
Also, I’m not the only one who noticed in that pi post way up there that the billionth digit was 9… right?
…and when does this comic update? What days of the week? |D
Pie is awesome; it just is. And, likewise, pi day is one of the best holidays of the year. If some one caused me to miss it, I’d have the same reaction as Grape, maybe worse. On pie day, you MUST eat pie (my school likes to eat it during our math classes. Irony?).
As angry as ever xD
It says it’s 12? In what time zone is this posted? It’s only 10 here.
Wait… do you mean the date?
*Yawns* Yeah it’s like… 1 am in the moning. Man i’m tired!
srry, *morning
Aha! I see that you, too, are in Pacific Time!
Rick is two hours east of us.
Central time zone.
Heh. I’m in…EASTERN CENTRAL TIME!!!! GO NEW YORK STATE!!! WOOT, BLIZZARDS AND POWER OUTAGES!!! …wait… THATS A BAD THING, WHY AM I CHEERING!?!?!?
Eastern Central Time huh? That’s quite the contradiction. I wasn’t aware ECT existed.. Is that like right inbetween Eastern Standard Time and Central Standard Time?
*snerk*
…
BWAHAHAHA!!!!!
…
Okay, I’m good.
I, too, am in “Eastern Standard Time”.
Southern Ontario FTW!
Hehehe that was a good one! Yeh, I made a “DERP” lolz.
No worries, at least it’s just the name of it, I constantly, and I mean CONSTANTLY get my time zone wrong.
@Furry321: I sure hope not. That would mean you forgot to adjust your clock on Monday, and are an hour behind everyone in Eastern Daylight Time
she will get over it, she just needs a extendo nap to sooth the kitty rage.
She mad! .__.
Tha madder she gets, the cuter she becomes x3
second that!
Third THAT XD
FOURTH THAT!!! WOOOOT!!! W°°T!!!
If someone says “fifth that”, I’m calling the
copsmods.Or any greater ordinal, for that matter
Technically, you just said it, but I agree.
Capital idea, or would that be a cardinal sin? It’s prime territory for puns, anyway.
I better go, or my days are numbered.
Fifth that
 ̄ω ̄
Because fangs and raised hair is cute?
Yes. Exactly. Grape, on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the cutest, is a 9999999999999999999999999999999999999!!!! AND THAT IS WWWWAAAAAAYYYY OVER 9000!!!!!!
It’s over 9000!!!!! xD
Why not just write 9.9*10^99 or just 9.9E99?
And hissing.
“The Ides of March have arrived.”
I think this is the first one off that continued from another also lol
That would make it a two-off.
And it’s topical.
And what about the Taming of the Shrew, when shrews can talk?
That one does’t take place in March
(take “place”?)
I mean… there’s all kinds of literature that has to change when dumb animals aren’t dumb.
One more, and we’ll have an arc!
http://www.housepetscomic.com/category/comic/oops-i-arced/
“lol u mad?”
Also, it’s funny to me because I ate cake on Monday. Irony!
Shakespeare reference.
Grape eats pie unlike anyone else I’ve ever seen. *takes a random bite from the back corner*
I just eat the pie front to back.
My record time is I think about three minutes.:)
It is theoretically possible to make one slice pie last for hours, though I know not of one sufficiently disciplined to accomplish this great feat.
You have now met one my friend. How, you ask? I dislike pie.
Back on topic…just how off is Grape’s schedule?
You just haven’t met the right pie yet.
Don’t worry, my friend, there are plenty of pastries in the bakery.
Shepherds Pie. Mmmmm.

It’s the second verse too. The third verse is slightly different at the end.
@Tangle stalker: Pi day is celebrated on the 3rd month, 14th day (15th hour, 9th minute – if you wan’t to be rigorous)
@Argent: I’m not sure meat pies fit-in in here
They’re both carnivores! Of course meat pies fit in!
Hey! I was talking about Pi day in the last strip!
I can just tell by the look on Grape’s face that if anyone bothers her today she’s going to stab them with her pie fork. XD
indeed you did mention something about Pi day so what is Pi day?
wiki it and you’ll find the anwser:)
related to mathematics, something with 3.14159……
so ppl eat pies, got it finally lol

MUHAHAHAHAHA FIRST 1000 DIGITS OF PI!!!!!!
“Mathematicious” reference?
I just approximate to 2198/700, personally.
My brain hurts now.
I Hate Math…
Quick! Make a prediction about Friday’s strip!
It’ll come out on Friday!
And it will be drawn and written by none other than Rick Griffin himself.
And it will involve grape and peanut or some other cast members of Housepets!
And it will have words?
and it will have comments under it
Well that’s pretty much a no-brainer.
It will have talking animals in it!
Not necessarily. There have been strips where nobody talked.
(televisions aren’t people)
You’ll pay for that when they become the silent agents of our Robot Overlords’ Ministry of Propaganda and Observation
Mettlebird, say goodnight to posting rights for a while. You know better.
She is /really/ enjoying that pie.
Yeah but she’s real P.O.ed. XD
Who doesn’t lika pie
.Well not me.
How can anyone hate pie it’s one of the best unhealthy foods for you.:D
Hey, I thought pies are unhealthy to cats.
Logic.
Depends on what’s in them.
Shepherds Pie is probably fine.
Even if it’s not made from real shepherds.
Shepherd’s pie FTW.
Although it looks more like she has cherry pie.
Or Cranberrie Pie
Is she still mad about the whole “sent your fanfic to Res” thing?
Btw, Rick, please get back to canon! <:3
Er. This is canon?
I think he means a new arc. We usually have at least a week of one-offs between arcs, just to hbe everyone a bit of a breather, and put in a couple of short visits to the less recently seen characters.
Also pie.
You need to rethink what canon is. One-offs are canon.
Canon in D?
(walks off whistling Pachelbel’s Canon and sprains his tongue)
Nooooo! Not that canon!
I have 22 versions of Pachelbel’s Canon in my iTunes Library.
Plus two versions of “Zelda 64 Pachelbel’s Ganon” by DJ Pretzel.
I dunno why, but she looks like she’s having a hard time chewing.
It’s strangely reminiscent of my “this steak is REALLY REALLY chewy and I’m starting to regret eating two large slices at the same time” face.
Don’t judge me, we’ve all done it. Except the people who haven’t. But they don’t count!
I ONCE DID THE SAME THING! I ate a whole steak that day…. it was really good, but it was a terrible idea.
I loooooovvvvvve steeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaak.
Yeah but it didn’t taste so great after the stomach ache.
tsk got an stomach ache by eating one steak? it better been a new york steak otherwise i will say pork chops
Wow, do not throw grab off schedule ever again. She gets a little ummm… whats a good word for grumpy?
um … grumpy?
I meant a synonym for it.
grumpy…er?
Tetchy. Crook. Crabby. Fussy. Grouchy. Cross. Cantankerous and crotchety. Querulous. Whiny whingey testy and surly. Peevish and petulant. Uncooperative.
Okay! I have absolutely no idea what several of those wrds mean!
Most of them just mean “grumpy all the time”
“throw grab”?
Throw *Grape*
You can just tell by the way Grape’s squinting in the first 3 frames that she’s thinking “I’M GOING TO KILL PEANUT FOR MESSING UP MY SCHEDULE.” Although, I don’t know how to do a serious face with the side keys.
How about this. :I
,___,
[O.o]
/)__)
-”–”-
lol all your serious faces look like an owl put together or is that just me also YEAH PIE DAY!
Yeah it does look more like an owl.
It is an owl with a serious face and here’s one that just ate a lemon
,___,
[ >.<]
/)__)
-"–"-
Owl ftw
That’s quite enough of that. Anything more gets scrubbed.
I don’t know how she could be angry while eating pie, for that matter…
Unless it’s angry pie flavor…
http://i.imgur.com/BLN4M.jpg
I love how expressive the ears are… the whole art style just tickels my cute-bone so well. The jokes are great too, and even when stuff gets all serious sam there’s always a punch-line to be found somewhere…
I kinda marathoned this comic last night, but I just wanna say kudos. A wonderful job, and I look forward to future updates.
-Loor
Is there such a thing as a cute-bone or is it just a metaphor?
Right next to the funny bone.
HA!
But Grape woke up on Monday. She could have still eaten the pie then.
Yeah I don’t know why she didn’t.
But i might’ve been right about her going back to sleep right away (comment from last strip). Or maybe she slept ’til it was night time again.
“*Yawwwn~* Oh man I apparently slept forever and my schedule is whacked, Imma go back to sleep”
She woke up on the 3rd month, 14th day, but did so after the 15th hour, 9th minute; so no pie.
But that’s onlyif u want to get specific about how Pi day is celebrated.
Best not topush her buttons today peanut
don’t worry, he’s used to it!
I don’t know, she looks like she’s ready to kill him.
Fantastic strip on my Birthday.Nice x3
Oh it’s not his fault!
It is not mathematically possible to eat pie and stay mad! As shown by the following equation 3.14 + >:( =
p.s. love the comic
Yay! Humorous math! XD
3.14 >:(
3.14 >
Pie is greater than frowny face.
SCIENCE.
Argh! That face should be : (
Razzle frazzle convenient shortcuts
But… science!
Yes! Science! :3
I can see (with my scientific eyes, of course) that that pie is a… strawberries pie!
Huh? three times fourteen is a lot greater than the analogy to “( = : )“?
And if you’re alreafy having a good day then it’s 3.14+
=
But I guess that’s not the case with Grape today.
Wait… alreafy? did I really do that bad of a spelling job?
F and D are close together. That’s a typo, not a spelling error.
And this is just the begining
Now I want pie!
Btw what kind of pie is Grape eating anyway? It looks like cheery pie.
She doesn’t look very cheery
Pi day is celebrated on the 3rd month, 14th day (15th hour, 9th minute – if you wan’t to be rigorous)
Okay, this is weird. I know that’s not what I wrote
Possibly a impostor. It’s an easy thing to do on sites like this.
Ye..
Rare prime rib pie.
the answer’s in zzz’s comment. I accidentally spelled it wrong but I spelled another word right which makes it funny irony because Grape’s totally P.O.ed which is the opposite of cheerful.
XD Because what I realy posted wanted to say was Cherry.
Drn it! For sum reason I always want to spell it realy even though it’s actualy got 2 ls. So… *really
Doesn’t appear to be working if thats the case
…..
…….but you meant cherry didnt ya :0
Yeah, I expected to spell it wrong and spell check would show it was wrong via th red squiggly line. ~~~~~~~~ YAY, SQUIGGLY!
I’ll just… post these… over here…
The rating of the comic is PG; your comments should not exceed that rating.
/soapbox
Thanks for your feedback!
Otter?
I’m guessing the change from fox to otter is a reference to The Changing Workplace
It’s actually a Squylon (squirrel-cylon).
Good guess, though!
I guess the squylons were an early attempt to create a race of killer cyborgs with ADHD.
Okay, my turn to question:
I agree. (PS-you sound like a lawyer.)
It’s the suit
Maybe. It does look like a law suit
And a legal case.
Works for me. Court adjourned!
And now that we’re out, here’s a rimshot for you, Brent:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eXj97stbG8
(now you sound like a judge)
-Anything more can be discussed in the forums.
Don’t mean to get off topic, but when did you become a mod? I never noticed.
November 1st on the forums, February 21st here.
Lucky. I wish I could be a mod, but that would be pointless seeing that everyone seems to be behaving. All I can ask is not to let your power go to your head, I’ve seen it happen more than enough times to heed you with certainty.
We already have a full staff of mods and very few troublemakers, Being a mod isn’t the most fun thing ether.
Yeah, I would think so; however, when this comic becomes a bit more well known, things will be more interesting.
CAVE IDUS MARTIAS
YAY PIE! Also, YAY PI DAY!
WHAT is Pi day?
March 14th (3-14)
Since Pi is generally rounds to 3.14, it neatly fits into the calendar, giving everybody an extra excuse for pi(e).
Because it’s never a bad time for pie, but some times are just special, you know?
I like Grape and I like pie.
I like GrapePie!
Dang, I missed Pi day. That’s what I get for having March break. If school was on, my Physics teacher would have reminded me.
That’s it! I will follow Grape’s advice and have pie in the morning!
I would too but I don’t have one or the ingredients to make one at the time.
IT’S A WONDERFUL DAY FOR…
Starcraft.
I like the Ides of March reference. And the recognition of Pi day.
I never really liked pies.
Which is pretty much heresy where I live.
I had a dyslexic lawyer joke here, but I couldn’t make it work.
Never has grumpy pie eating looked so adorable.
It’s grumpy pie?
To break it down: Never has a grumpy person that is eating pie looked so adorable while doing so.
It’s a sweet and sour combination: sweet red berries and a sour Grape.
Of course, for those who render the date in the format of day/month, there’s always July 22nd (Friday, this year) for a fallback “Pi Day”.
Obviously, if you use the month name it won’t work.
22/7
I had to put that into the calculator to get it
22÷7 = 3.142
Just get rid of the .002 and you have the basic easy to use pi!
If you round 3.1415 to the thousandths place, you end up with 3.142 as well
So Thaat’s why monday was important.
Okay.
How can you be mad eating pie?
Also, alt text plz!
alt : I HAVE TO DO THIS BEFORE WE CAN PERFORM “JULIUS CEASAR”
I dun get it…
the ides of march you know when ceasar was told to beware the ides of march pie day is also in march so its funny!
also I love grapes face in the last strip
More specifically, Pi day is 3/14 while the ides of March are 3/15. Therefore, you “need” to celebrate Pi day before celebrating the ides of march
I remember reading Romeo’s, “Julius Caesar”. I hated it; I don’t like reading… except Ayn Rand.
Romeo’s? That’s a character, the playwright is named Shakespeare.
*Facepalm* DERP.
I,
have never eaten pie.
There, I said it.
adsfajkljhda WHAI NAWT!!!!!
Not even tart? (technically pie without the top cover)
You must eat pie before it’s too late!
Hehe. Pie.
Pie is to be enjoyed! Why so angry?!
*Gasp!* Maybe it was made wrong ant it tastes bad! This is not good at all!
She is angry! Oh well, hopefully the pie will cheer her up.
Pi day? the 3.14…?
FFFFFFF- XD
oh.
it makes sense now.
Everyone loves pie. Its impossible to be angry while eating one, I would know.
Hip hip hurray for a late Pi day
Mmmm… pi…e…
you know reading this makes me want to try to eat pie while i am angry
Grape well get happier after she eats the pie all the way im sure of it
Hah looks like those Pi-day comments on the last strip were not so off topic after all. XD
Irony. I was eating a piece of pie when I read this comic.
At this point, wouldn’t these last two comics be considered an arc?
I think you need at least three for that. “Oops, I arced” wasn’t named until the third strip
OK, it’s been grumpy pie, cheery pie, and angry pie. I think it needs a vacation.
*guess [SPACE]
[Sentence 4] …due to viewing…
[Sentence 4} ...Please forgive me...
I’ll assume that because you have corrected yourself, I have permission to correct you as well. The phrase you used should be “threw Grape off”
Thanks for the help
Requesting permission to point out the grammar error in the first sentence
SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent beat me to it
Thanks for the help anyways
Permission granted…proceed
Poor Grape X3;
Nobboy messes with pie day
How can Grape be unhappy while eating pie? It’s pie!
I’m still here,Despite being new,I still read the comic,But have stopped posting because i am still confused about that thing argent said…..,I think he called me a person begging for attention,I never found out what it meant.
―Awhiteandblacklove on February 16, 2011 at 9:18 pm

A quick Google search for just Benneton yields as its first results this campaign: http://press.benettongroup.com/ben_en/about/campaigns/list/black_and_white_hand/
I was just referring to Benneton’s ad campaign, because they got some flack about it from idiots. Good golly, I didn’t mean to stop you posting with it.
Note to self: stop using powers for evil.
Well ironically i searched it on google and it came up with what i said,I hate google sometimes,Sorry Argent.
I ate a whole pie for pi day. I do not recommend it.
Also, read “3.14″ in a mirror.
“ALE”?
PIE
Never bother an angry cat xD
Especially when they’re all squinty.
……… I…… Still………..Want………….
…………………………………………………..
……………………………………………………….
………………PIE!!!!!!!! GLOM NOM NOM NOM!
don’t we always want to have pie?
Nope.
I do. I really like pie.
Can’t eat pie, I’ll puke. I can’t handle all the sugar.
Then make your own pie, without the sugar! Or see if you can find one made with artificial sweeteners
Tried it already. Tasted horrible.
There are pies without lots of sugar. Savory pies, full of meaty goodness. Mmmm…
now you make me want pie even more by the way you could always eat pot pie it has no sugar and yes it is pie
“YOU WANT THE TRUTH!? er…SUGAR!? YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH! er… SUGAR!!!!!”
I know how Grape feels, having to miss a day or event.
So do I. *Squinty* *Squinty* -_-
Poor Grape.
………..
At least she gets to have pie!
True dat!
FINALLY. It may have taken four days of two-hour-comp-sessions, but I’ve read Housepets! from beginning to now. :’D
Also, I’m not the only one who noticed in that pi post way up there that the billionth digit was 9… right?
…and when does this comic update? What days of the week? |D
mon/wed/fri
Thanks!
Why must you eat pie so angrily =:(
Because it’s a lie… no wait… that’s cake… SAME DIFFERENCE! >:L
BLASPHEMY!!!
YAY For Portal references!
I just had a thought. If the cake is a lie… THEN THERE MUST BE PIE SOMEWHERE!!!!!!!!
It was…wasn’t it.
Pie is awsome.
Awesome agreement plz! Cuz I luvs pie some pie too!
Cat! Angry kitty cat! Watch her rage, rage rage! Watch her rage, rage, rage!
Peanut’s song – “For all of my rage, I’m just a cat on a page”
Pie is awesome; it just is. And, likewise, pi day is one of the best holidays of the year. If some one caused me to miss it, I’d have the same reaction as Grape, maybe worse. On pie day, you MUST eat pie (my school likes to eat it during our math classes. Irony?).
TAROT+PEANUT FOREVER!!
WAHAHAHAHAH! I DIDN’T GET TO HAVE PIE!!!!!!!!!!!
Although we did talk about pi in class Monday.
I wish i could have pie while learning about pi.
I love how when Grape takes a bit of the pie there actually is a reasonable-sized bit out of it. It’s a small touch but a great one.
Grape’s face. Priceless. There is nothing else to say.
This comic has never become dull
Yes! I love Pi Day. all 22 over 7 of it!
