and yet another nice punch xD

    • tagat

Alt Text: “I was justified! You saw his angry eyebrows!”

      • silverfang16

        Well…..he did have those.

      • Lite

*aristocrat voice* Angry brows indeed. Yes.

        • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

          quite right 0_Q

          • anon_omis

            Indeed! ^_Q

        • Chochi

          My goodness!!
          So much injustified violence!
VIOLENT EYEBROWS FOR THE WIN XD!!!

    • The Moon Howler

it seems that this issue was solved by punching afterall :D

      • Mystic Wolf

Poor Peanut, he doesn’t know how to win this battle, and his only way to win is with violence, and he is embarrased of that…

        Poor Peanut… : [

        • Argent Stonecutter

Think how embarrassing it would be if he were to have to take on school bullying!

          • Mystic Wolf

OMG, now you made me think of that… Poor Peanuuuuut…

        • silverfang16

He lives with Grape, what does everyone want from him?

          • Argent Stonecutter

            Wacky hijinks!

          • Trefoiler

Wacky hijinks indeed. Which is multitudes better than what’s expected of Tiger.

I mean really- antics that are both adorable AND distressingly frequent? Do people realize how difficult it really is to walk that line? Often five days out of the week? And twice on sundays?

No wonder he’s always eating everything. He leads an exhausting life!

  2. IceKitsune

lol ending it with a punch.

    • Vlad the Cat

      Punching DO solves everything xD

      • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

no, that’s a splattering of hydraulic fluid from the cyborg’s face.

        • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

sorry, this was meant to go to the post below.

  3. ReCreate

He punches so hard that a wave surrounds his punches?

    • Vlad the Cat

      Yes.

      • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

no, that’s a splattering of hydraulic fluid from the cyborg’s face.

  4. Snowy

i see spot is learning the ways of the (Captain) Falcon

    • 2MK

      This is a NORMAL punch!

Why does everyone thinking of “Falcon Punch” whenever they see somebody punching?

      • RegularBird

Maybe because it has “Punch” in the name?

      • netherwolf

        I always think of the Sucker-Punch x3

      • Vlad the Cat

        I think of the spot(superdog)-punch

  5. lol party

Ohhhh, the scientist was The Evil Cyborg! Tricky tricky.

  6. xhunterko

    Aww. Poor Peanut.

    • LegendaryHero

      Peanut’s adorable though.

    • xhunterko

Next time on Spot the superdog! Spot is being sued by the evil cyborg on the basis that he was doing no wrong to be punched! Has Spot’s intellect finally met his match? Will the cyborg escape and cause a fat plague on the citizens slowly killing them? Will Spot be able to survive a kangaroo court? Is Spot’s strong enough to survive court attacks from the evil lawyers? Find out next week as we bring to you, Spot the Superdog: Spot on the Attorney!

      (yeah I got nothing)

      • Trefoiler

        Nah, you got win.

        Win is what you got.

  7. Dissension

Hopefully, this PSA will get the message out! Just say NO!!?!

  8. tagat

    Those are some fat orphans

  9. RegularBird

Punching over science makes kids not want to eat junk food.

  10. Tha Housedog

    Egads!
Because when all you have is a hammer…

    • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

      it’s hard to use screws.

  11. Elwood Blutarsky

Clearly that red stuff was poison trying to kill Spot…or some sort of liquid thar scientist was going to try and take on an airplane. Either way it was the right thing to knock his lights out.

  12. anon_omis

Why does there need to be a point?

    • gaboris

      Point there man! XD

      • LEGOZONE

        O.o What?!!

  13. crazyBalto

Spot looks awesome at the second panel!

  14. Avansis

Yeah.. maybe Peanut isn’t the best writer, is he? Grape & Peanut should totally team up, Grape doing the writing and Peanut doing the artwork, resulting the best comic ever.

    • silverfang16

I think the result would still be the same.

      • darkgloomie

so you’re saying that Spot (superdog) is already the best comic ever?

        • anon_omis

You don’t think it’s the best comic within a web comic?

          • silverfang16

You know, if Spot drew a comic…….it would be a comic in a comic IN a comic!

          • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

I don’t think spot is the type to draw comics. Jim-Jim, however…

  15. Levi

    Paw right in the kisser!

  16. gaboris

AND in the end Spot was wrong. This whole think could be solves by a punch. XD
BTW those experts are so annoying when they even contradict themselves. >:p

    • Argent Stonecutter

But he needed the PSA to trick the cyborg into revealing himself.

      • gaboris

DANG it! You’re right! I’ve been mislead all this time. O_o” … by I don’ know who. XD

  17. The Wolf Kin

Poor, poor Peanut. I feel for you, dog.

  18. tanglestalker909

I just love how Spot defeated the Cyborg with only one punch! But I am a bit concerned about Peanut…

    • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

who says he’s defeated? he may just have been launched into a nearby wall, where he’ll get up and the fight will continue.

  19. Z24

    20 years later…

Spot: Ha! I was right *punches*

    • anon_omis

      +1internet

      • revolution25

        +2 Internets

        • Trefoiler

          Roll for additional Internets

  20. silverfang16

Awww, Peanut needs a hug! :3

    • The Moon Howler

i would suggest a kiss from Grape will suit him better?

      • Mystic Wolf

        OMG! Grapeanut alarm, Grapeanut alarm!

        Go for it! xD

        • The Moon Howler

What? YES I DO SUPPORT GRAPENUT! if that is what troubling you…

          • silverfang16

            I thought it was a sandwich…… :/

          • Mystic Wolf

It isn’t a problem for me! And if you thought that, what do you think it’s the meaning of “Go for it! xD”?

          • The Moon Howler

Yep, didn’t read the “Go for it!” part :)

  21. Argent Stonecutter

    Are there no GOOD cyborgs?

    • Frank

      Rhetoric question, right?

      • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

apparently. the answers never happened. *shifty eyes*

    • white4rice

*COUP DE VENT!!!* MMMMM super! You called?

    • The Moon Howler

here they are – Robocop and Inspector Gadget – good cyborgs. There are good cyborgs after all!

  22. KickahaOta

Ironically, the beaker was filled with Hawaiian Punch.

    • Pogiforce

Considering the ’scientist’ was just the evil cyborg in disguise and not an actual scientist, that’s a pretty good possibility.

    • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

I thought it was Mango juice.

      • Frank

Mango Juice is yellower and (when made right) much thicker and much less bubblier

    • Argent Stonecutter

Looks like FD&C Red #40 to me.

  23. the1truesushiboy

    The point was comedy.

  24. loomCAT

NOOOOO!!! Creator breakdown! Peanut needs a hug, or… something.

  25. Falcon01

    Nice “Punch line!” :P

    • anon_omis

      *rimshot*

    • Naylorfan90

      *facepalm*

    • Z24

      *shot*

  26. Trent Wolf

Just like every problem in life, this on can be solved with punching.

    • SamBlob

…and, for those that can’t, there’s always artillery and air power.

      • Frank

Now I’m worried on a number of levels

        • The Moon Howler

Well, hugs can do the work too… just almost everyone prefer punching instead of hugging..

          • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

because it’s less creepy to punch a stranger.

          • Frank

Okay, first I was worried for SamBlob. Now I’m worried about society

          • Argent Stonecutter

            You need a hug.

          • The Moon Howler

can i be honest? Yes i do need a hug right now …

          • Frank

            Yes, I did. Thank you

          • Trefoiler

You know, a hug could be considered a way of gently punching somebody with the entirety of the inner arm.

            Just saying.

  27. WingedWolfGirl

epic panel 2 Spot is epic.

  28. Hoheh

I think Peanut is depressed. And has writer’s block That’s a bifecta of sadness, there.

  29. Naylorfan90

    Nice. :)

  30. newpain117

PUNCHING, IT CAN SOLVE EVERYTHING! except obesity.

    • Maxmice

      says who?

      • newpain117

        trans fats

  31. Frank

    No! Peanut! Don’t Cry!

    • Z-Zman

he’s not. he just slammed his head on the table with despair

      • revolution25

        AKA; Face Desk

  32. Deezy

hahahaha, perfect ending to that strip.

  33. HentMas

    HAHAHAHAHA

    I saw that comming

i mean who can compete against free will (in this case the desition of having unhealty food)

  34. Argent Stonecutter

He still hasn’t explained what was in those snacks to make all those kids so fat in the short time he was brooding on the mountain.

    • Rick Griffin

      Trans fats

      • Argent Stonecutter

So how long was he up there brooding?

        • The Moon Howler

          one strip?

          • Argent Stonecutter

So, some time between 30 seconds and several months?

          • Dissension

30 minutes, if you believe what Stripe said on Friday.

          • Argent Stonecutter

That’s some super scientific cyborg trans fats then!

        • CaptainPea

To be fair, CHEEZ IN A BUKET has notoriously high amounts of trans fats. Those orphans are lucky they can still stand up.

          • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

            they can’t, they’re sitting.

  35. MrMutt

very good ending to that strip, Peanut!

  36. Devin Parker

Punching is the only way to deal with sneer quotes. Using four of them in a row was just begging for a knuckle sammich.

  37. FerreTrip

    Do I smell a deus ex machina or an author who’s giving up because he’s written himself into a corner? X3;

  38. Cruzor

Panel 8 shows that is is nearly improbable if not impossible to impress a writer of any kind…Poor Peanut he tries so hard to impress Grape with his comic book skills and yet everytime it is a flop (don’t quote me on that)…Though I would like to add that if there is a worse crittic then it is the author/artist’s ownself…

  39. CaptainPea

Poor Spot! His legs fell off in the 7th panel! :(

    • newpain117

      dear lord, YOU’RE RIGHT!

      • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

actually, it looks more like they’ve fused together.

        • Trefoiler

A punch so powerful clearly requires Spot to plaster his entire lower body to the stage.

Plaster is one of his powers, right?

  40. Doomwolf

It’s like Peanut tapped in to his inner Rob Liefeld.

  41. japan

    I feel your pain brother!

  42. Tarkana262

This is how my comics usually end.

  43. revolution25

Far to many TV shows have that excact same problem Peanut.
Mabey thats where hes getting it from.

  44. AflacMan13

Ok I have one for you… why did Peanut create a female cat character (obviously) based off of Grape with a moniker like “Stripes” when Grape has no stripes… and as far as I have seen “Stripes” does not have any stripes either? Could Grape have some sort of physical abbaration that looks like stripes that she hides with here fur? Perhaps a child hood back story that ties Peanut and Grape together more closely? Maybe Grape got into a fight long ago? A birthmark maybe? Will these questions go unanswered?

    • Dissension

It could also be that it makes sense for a dog named Spot to have a girlfriend who goes by Stripe?

      • SomeRandomGeekNamedBrent

agreed, as Spot has no spots as well.

        • Argent Stonecutter

Next up, we introduce Commissioner Fluffy, who is a hairless cat (and Spot’s bumbling counterpart to Inspector Lestrade).

          • anon_omis

Wouldn’t it be more like commissioner Gordon? Spot isn’t a privet detective

          • Argent Stonecutter

That’s only because he can crush coal into Old Spice!

    • Frank

      This is a job for…
      Someone else

Seriously. This looks like something Thoth could use in his Character Dossiers over at the forum

    • darkgloomie

Why do you say that Stripe is related to Grape? Stripe is, in fact, not a cat.

    • Trefoiler

I was always under the impression that (if Stripe is a Grape analogue) it may be due to the similar terminal sounds, as in grAPE and strIPE. But it’s far more likely that Stripe is there to play opposite to Spot. Not to play off on some goofy rhyming.

As for his name… I’m not sure. I would think it was because he is the superdog SPOT, unlike the author, who is PeaNOT.

  45. Jennifer the Dark

Ends just like all my comics, only funnier :)

    • revolution25

the important thing is your both trying.

  46. revolution25

I demand to know why there are hardly any Housepets stories on fanfiction.
For a whole community of people that love this, we should be putting out more stories.
    Lets move! Get writeing!

  47. Shady Kitsune

Ya see Peanut, this is why it’s a good idea to plan the story first before you draw. Or atleast finish it before showing it to anyone. Or scrap it when it turns out to be something you are ashamed you drew.

  48. huntersunday

so the point was…… nothing? or you don’t know what your doing poor peanut just keep trying you will get there

    • Dr. Prower

The point was I DON’T KNOW!

      • anon_omis

Your avatar is perfect for that comment

      • WingedWolfGirl

that will be my new favorite point. XD

      • huntersunday

ohhhh that was the point okay i understand now XD

  49. Trefoiler

The headlines can really say whatever you want with proper editing.

This just in! Top nutritionist quoted as saying, “Snack foods [are]… …detrimental to… …hunger [and]… …boredom. Children [do not] need regular exercise… …Eating foods with [modestly elevated] fat and sugar content routinely leads to [nothing]. Food served at… …McDonalds… [tastes] good… …Eat.”

Ta-da. But as for an actual comment, I love that the ending was pulled out from underneath us and how Spot reminds me of the Thing awkwardly attempting to be a good influence to kids by pointing a massive finger at them and bluntly stating “Don’t do drugs.“. But they nod and its funny and I’m too tired and obligated to wait another 15 minutes for tomorrow’s comic so g’night. Thanks, Rick.

  50. Dogs Rule27

Wait. I thought I commented on this strip. Guess I was wrong, but now I’m not.

  51. Lance

“I DON”T KNOW” XDDD wow. these were great. X3

  52. Kass

    “Threw tea at granny’s face”
