*falcon PAUNCH!!!*
heh. HEH. HEHEHEEHEHEH!!!! *pulls out ravenous, rabid, cannibalistic midget from back pocket and throws at face*
OH DEAR GOAT I HAVE LOST IT….wait, did i just say “DEAR GOAT?”
….someone, shoot me now. i BEG of you!!!
Oh Spot (Superdog), there’s no need to brood. As long as you have spinning and punching available, there is nothing you can’t do! That… a squintillion other super friends, and a super girlfriend (who is most definetly, obviously, and unequivocaly, not a cat)
Well, sorta. There’s a lot more jokes packed into each panel, and they’re twice normal size. I’m not gonna put words in Rick’s mouth, but I’m guessing they’re a break for the art and a challenge for the writing.
I like them, personally, I’ve never quite understood the unhappy response they often get. It takes the comic to a more absurd place than it is usually allowed to go.
no, she isn’t. Because she’s totally not a cat. She’s a dog. And Spot (superdog)’s girlfriend. Any relation with real characters is purely coincidental, and theories about whether Peanut is really Spot and any other character is somebody he knows are speculations.
I was hoping for some more King. Personally, I got bored of Spot (super dog) quite some time ago, so need less to say, I was rather disappointed with yet another Spot comic :/
I only said that I was hoping for some more King, and that I was bored of Spot. o.o My own opinion, of course. I’m not saying the entire comic should revolve around King.
Not that thisis in anyway relavent, but is Daisy’s(dog) entire purpose to make fun of Daisy(human) from mario cart, because all Human Daisy says in that game is “Hi, I’m Daisy”
I love these two. And Monty Python, assuming that was even the reference.
Even if it weren’t, it stirs the reference deep within me. For there is reference in all of us. In everything that is a thing. You must only learn to listen.
Was hoping for more king. oh well Spot ( the super dog) will suffice.
Yes, King is very interesting. I wonder if his spine was broken during the power outage…
Maby that’s why we see him “not” so often, cuz he still need medical assistance x3
Or it could be that there are a lot of characters and King’s not even the focus of the comic. x3
Well he should be!
Again I will point this out, if he shows up all the time it won’t be special anymore!
What in the heck. Meh. It happens
King is nice but he’s not super powered or capable of spoofing other comic genres.
Alt-Text: Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as punching
Perhaps the fandom’s intense ‘liking’ for King had put Rick ill at ease.
Yeah, king is awesome, but I support P + G! I want to see more Grape!!!
Both King and Grape were in the last arc. Enough wishful thinking, back on topic.
Anything can be resolved with punching! ANYTHING!
Except your taxes…
Believe me, I’ve tried…
Chuck Norris does his taxes by punching.
In Soviet Russia, Taxes Punch Chuck Norris.
Good thing Chuck doesn’t go to Soviet Russia.
But In soviet Russia, Soviet Russia Goes to Chuck Norris.
In Chuck Norris, Soviet Russia dies a horribly painful death by punching.
Punching solves everything.
da correct amount of pressure applied to sum1’s face solves everything :3
Falcon Slap ;D
Cat slap actually
Girlfriend-who-despite-all-appearances-is-not-a-cat slap actually
OMG! i must to correct myself!
Not-a-cat Slap
yayz fer violence :3
“Here, let me try again. ‘Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as… punching?’”
*giggles*
It’s always nice to see Spot, but when will Nefarious Villains make a return, eh?
The Alt text was great and I love Stripes look in panels 5 and 7
I don’t think anyone minds Rick considering this is all Peanut’s doing and not yours.
Wait a minute… that makes no sen~ *slap*
*slaps*
Logic. UR DOIN IT WRONG.
Yay, I gets me a new storyline to voice in the Housepets Radio Show!!!
(no, this is not off topic, as I will be the voice of Spot)
yayz for u :3
Just as a question, where can I listen to said radio show?
Look at it on the forums under fan projects. It’s not done yet, though.
Will it be upload as podcasts to Itunes or something? do you still need voices?
check it on de forums
I don’t know. And yes, we do. Now check the forums before we get yelled at for going off topic
The gentleman speaks wisely.
The real PBS should broadcast this. It’s better than what they have out now. Spot’s like Looney Toons with bad art. Peanut is a jeanious!
Oh dear, SPINNING evil?! That can’t be good.
Spot (Superdog) is actually explaining how he was able to foresee an event using his super-vision when normally that’s not how it works.
Ah, I see… -_-
Although spinning evil would be quite the problem, no?
Woohoo! Spot arc! I love these!
The Spot comics seem to be improving too, I like this.
Slap slap slap.
slapity-slap slap :3
*Ker-POW*
Krak-Kow!
*something-POW*
Krakov! I win ^^
actually, we write it “Kraków” (city in Poland)
P.S. C-C-C-Combo Breaker!!!
Stripe used doubleslap!
… It’s not very effective
Spot (superdog) is confused!
Spot (superdog) flinches!
lol, look at panels 1-3 and think of the music in the film 300..EPIC
I lol’d at the 7th panel. xD
7th & 8th panel FTW!
Oh Spot (Superdog), there’s no need to brood. As long as you have spinning and punching available, there is nothing you can’t do! That… a squintillion other super friends, and a super girlfriend (who is most definetly, obviously, and unequivocaly, not a cat)
Alt text plz!

Love the lampshading on the muscles.
I need to go back and read all the spot (the superdog) strips
lol slap slap
Spot would let Stripe get hurt, even while punching him. Spot loves that cat, err, dog who looks like a cat.
Wouldn’t let Stripe get hurt, sorry I’m on an iPod
Hurray for more Spot!
And his punching. Hopefully.
get a hold of your self punching and frying pans solve everything
dont count out rolling pins XD
Brooms do too!
and boots to the head.
*le sigh*
For what purpose doth this this sound of sighing appeareth, Sir Stonecutter?
Not much of a “spot” fan.
’sigh’ lol
I kind of agree with you Argent, but sometimes they can be fun to read. Only sometimes however.
On the plus side, I got a great new kangaroo avatar in SL.
You made a Rick Griffin Kangaroo?
in 3D?
For Second Life?
*clicks*
Okay, so it’s technically not a “Rick Griffin Kangaroo”
It is kinda Rick-Griffin-ish, now you mention it. It was made by the awesome Satch Flan, though I had to add the hopping animation myself.
Back on topic.
It may be “yet another Spot strip” but maybe we’ll get to see the return of…
Super Lady Cat Dog!
That “cat” was supposed to be stricken-through, in imitation of http://www.housepetscomic.com/2010/09/08/it-comes-with-the-power/
Cat, what Cat? Stripe is clearly a dog.
And Slapping.
Who’s your daddy?
Become another person
I’m still waiting for a Spot the SuperDog spinoff comic
“You’re a SUPERHERO!”
*Comments on the muscular of Spot.*
Cool, Spot got toned-up!
If you can punch TIME till it breaks, then punching something is a valid form of problem solving.
You have to help me save the world… FROM ITSELF
i brood while i spin
Multitasking saves time
It might be helpful to punch at the same time to save a little more
Punching is pretty diverse
I was wondering when the side comic would go away and we’d get back to the main Spot storyline!
I’m just guessing you like doing these because they’re easier.
And, ya know…he likes the characters? And superhero stuff?
clearly, the number of reasons for doing something is inversely proportional to the effort it takes to do it.
Which may not be wrong, but it’s kinda sad to view the world like that.
The only way to stop this power is to use Spot’s never-before-seen Super Weaving power to create a net of dilithium-tetroxide-pentydragen! SCIENCE.
Love slap! Baby love slap!
*ducks from thrown vegetables*
Yay Bright Slap! x3
i need to start setting an alarm clock i hate not bieng the top 50 to comment
What does it matter? A commenter is a commenter, the number means completely nothing.
Silly spot, everything can be solved by punching
Yaaay for Spot(superdog) arc! Don’ worry Rick alot of us love these as well so just keep it up.
The adventures of filler comic
Despite being even further fictional than the rest of the characters, Stripe is one of my favorites.
I’m guessing Stripe is Grapes comic counter part?
no, she isn’t. Because she’s totally not a cat. She’s a dog. And Spot (superdog)’s girlfriend. Any relation with real characters is purely coincidental, and theories about whether Peanut is really Spot and any other character is somebody he knows are speculations.
Ah, who am I kidding?
It looks like Peanut’s been getting better at writing these things…
The more you read, the better writer you become!
And Peanut recently ( http://www.housepetscomic.com/2010/09/29/dont-you-wish-you-could-read-like-me/ ) read four super-thick, super-great books
He’s already read the library
Wow. Stripe slapping Spot.
I know she has superpowers, but… this is like slapping Superman O.o
Lois Lane I think slapped Superman once. She’s probably the only human on Earth who could actually make Superman move his head when she slaps him.
Don’t worry, Rick–I love these comics lampooning Western superhero comics, too. Can’t wait for more fun! ^^
“Spinning was involved” is my favorite line in this, by the way.
I love Superdog and his spinning ability
This is just the first strip and this is already my favorite Spot arc ever.
I dunno, The Adventures of Stripe is a classic, especially the ending.
I was hoping for some more King. Personally, I got bored of Spot (super dog) quite some time ago, so need less to say, I was rather disappointed with yet another Spot comic :/
hold your tongue, spot slanderer.
The comic is Housepets, not “King’s Storytime”
Plus King was just in the last arc, remember?
What he said.
I don’t want to seem rude, but that would be a funny arc…again, sorry if I seem rude…
Housepets was last week, this week the comic is the adventures of Spot (superdog).
I only said that I was hoping for some more King, and that I was bored of Spot. o.o My own opinion, of course. I’m not saying the entire comic should revolve around King.
Problems not solvable through the manly way of PUNCHING?!
What madness is this?!
This! Is! HOUSEPETS!
This! Is! SPOT!
(Superdog)
This is SPARTAH!
yes, that was the joke.
There’s so many jabs at the superhero genre in this strip… I can’t begin to count them.
But I guess that’s the point of the Spot (Superdog) arcs.
Spot and Stripe are made for each other.
Literally.
You…have a point.
Is a washing machine involved somewhere?
Ha now this is funny,And Argent Stonecutter,I still want to know what you meant by sounds like benneton.
Please and thank you, Rick!
