Well, here’s what we can do: we can all decide on someone posting up the alt-text for us at all times. We first give him a time limit of 30 minutes to post up the alt-text. If, for some reason, he’s not able to post it within the first 30 minutes of the comic being released, then anyone can post the alt-text. That way, we destroy the possibility of having a contest for 1st post with the alt-text. Simple as that. Any volunteers that are willing to do this?
Heh bit too much of a show for somethin like this I’d say. There’s no real need to post the alt-text so bad there has to be someone to “do the job”. XD

@Honorè: “Semantic” is just a fancy way to say “the meaning of a word”. All languages have semantics, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to use them
That’s at the end of the sentence, not interstitial, and answering a question indirectly is not at all unusual. For example:
Me: Do you have the time?
You: Yes.
No, no, you don’t do that, do you? Oh, I do sometimes, as a joke, but most of the time it’s like this…
You: Do you have the time?
Me: Quarter past one.
Or, other ways this kind of question can sneak in…
You: We better get going?
Me: I haven’t finished my beer yet.
You: We’re leaving now?
Me: I’ll get my keys.
(of course you should say “oh no, I’m driving” because of the beer in the previous example)

Cold air helps electronics, but it doesn’t help the batteries that power the electronics not plugged into a wall socket. Cold drains the batteries, though off the top of my head I’m not clear on the chemistry involved.

This indicates a major shift in Peanut’s character. It seems like him and grape have completely shifted rules. Maybe I have shifted to the other side of the world and today is April 1st?
Or maybe they’re just funny this way. But it’s interesting how these two characters seem to shift roles with reckless abandon. They also seem to be more kid-like now, rather than the mature characters they were before.
I have absolutely no clue where they’re gonna go from here.

I think it’s just with what each are doing, like here Grape is acting more child-ish in my opinion, so Peanut has to act more mature and as the voice of reason between the two.
I get what you mean, after reading this strip, my mind just took a double take and said ‘Whoa did they just switch personalities?’. How Grape is acting, is somewhat how I’d expect Peanut to act, and Peanut is acting rather mature, a trait I had associated with Grape.
I’m willing to excuse it though, that she’s just excited to meet the author to her favorite book series.

“Sinister” is derived from the Latin sinestra, meaning “left”.
In short, Argent was doing some multilingual word play.
Sinister and Dexter are archaic English terms for left and right, still used in heraldry.
I don’t mean anything bad by it. I’m ambiclumsy myself.
I think he’s more ambidextrous, in previous panels he’s used his right hand to write/draw.
Besides it’s not clear if he actually can use his left hand efficiently or if he’s just playing a game that doesn’t require much movement. (I sometimes switch to my left hand during long dialogues where I’m doing nothing but tapping the screen to keep the conversation going).

Fangirl mode may include these side-effects: Insanity, hallucinations, extreme energy, looking more feminine, and loss of consciousness upon meeting a certain person.
I’ve noticed, maybe with all the comic posts that rick has done, he’s decided to change each character in a different way. If you look at the older comics, then look at today’s comics you’ll see some minor differences in appearance.

With the an exception Sansash, I do believe it means Peanut’s character just died due to him being distracted. But he obviously doesn’t mind so I’m assuming it’s not a very serious game.
