There are some things to consider when saying this statement.
1) Lester is among “Joey’s Creepy Friends” and I don’t think that’s ever going to change. Quoting Cast Page: “Joey’s Creepy Friends: Into the same stuff that Joey is, but far, far worse. Don’t ask.”
2) Lester was the one who claimed that a perfect translation was skimping off on some parts. (http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/09/23/subbed-stands-for-with-subtlety/) Ah wait was that exclamation point replaced by an ellipsis? Ah my bad.
3) He’s a Dachshund (I think), and everyone knows Hotdogs likes to eat hotdogs.
Yeah this’ll be a funny arc if it goes on like th… oh WAIT! What if the whole story goes on with Lester being locked up in the toilet and Joey trying to get him out of there? :O Now THAT would be a laugh. XD
The fact I’m up early enough to catch this within the first 80 comments is scary and proof I probably have some form of insomnia (or forgetting at the time that the tea had a couple hours ago is caffeinated).
But also the fact that tomorrow is gonna be a night for Anime Club…THAT’S frightening.
I have the worst feeling I’m going to want to beat Lester with a rolled-up newspaper HARD by the end of this arc (oh, God, it’s gonna be an arc with Joey, that’s gonna be interesting)…I mean, I want to beat him normal force already…
Oh, and since “Joey’s Creepy Friends” is what category Lester falls under, Rick, you might want to either tag this with that, too, or just make Lester an entry in the cast page (which you might as well, if he’s going to be an important character to this arc). Shuttin’ up now.
I’ve been so late into most movies lately I rarely see them. Usually just the “please turn off your phone” thing.
There’s a bit of an art to it, and can make finding seats difficult in popular showings, but can save you an awful lot of boredom and/or mental anguish.
Meeeeeh i dislike them weeaboo’s who are soo into japanese “culture”. Liking japanese things is fine, but they shouldn’t take it overboard =3=;; Especially when they dont even know what REAL japanese culture is .3. and i would know what real japan is like, I’m jap .0.
I’m Japanese as well yet I’ve never been to Japan. The funny part is I have always wanted to visit Japan. It’s ironic; a Japanese person born in America wanting to go to Japan. Its like a Caucasian person born in Japan wanting to go to America.
Also please don’t use that word to say “Japanese”. IDK I find it somewhat offensive. “Jpns” would be better in context.
Don’t worry, Lester, you can always complain about how Disney ruined your life and cinema by talking about it on Blogspot. Both of your watchers will be pleased!
I hate to admit this but I can easily relate to Lester’s character. I’m not saying that I will freak out over something as small as previews it’s just the concept of dubbing a Japanese film that is a touchy subject for me.
Granted you’re going to have to have an Anime film dubbed into English when it hits America which I’m fine with it’s only when they edit the content of the film to tone it down to American audience standards that makes me cringe. Things like violence, disturbing images, blood/gore are some of the few things that occasionally gets edited over to keep with the PG or PG-13 rating of a film.
I know some people will probably say it’s no big deal but when you do cut out content from from a film you lose something in the process. Think of it like this: Cinema is an art. Art is creative works expressed by individuals like us. Art is expressive and should be kept the way it is without the need to edit the material. Editing the film just because it won’t fly in America is like saying your art isn’t appropriate enough so we’re going to erase this and that just to make it much better.
I just think that when it comes to bringing things like Anime over to the US you get these cultural clashes that may seem strange and weird to us but normal in other places.
I can’t hate to admit it because I share Lester’s views with Disney. I can’t even remember when was the last time they made a decent movie. With all the gender confusing barks, ridiculous forced romance, inappropriate flashing lights, that awful logo, the neutered mascot. . . I don’t even know where to end.
Uhh, most movies with dogs have these very high pitched barks and hearing dogs bark in real life, it makes me wonder if the dog features in the movie were who they claim they were.
Between breed there wouldn’t be much of a difference because each has its own set of frequencies, but with those of the same breeds, their barks are quite distinct between males and females. They probably used puppy sounds which makes it just as annoying because like humans their voices age and while the characters age, their voices (barks that is) don’t.
In short they should stick to theri own stuff and do what they know they can do right. Agreed with you I am Inu.
@Hyper: I don’ know, when it comes to Disneys original works I’d say they’re alright the way they are. So as long as they don’ wanna mess up the works of others they’re fine with me.
Recent ones are just plain annoying as they have the technology to do something real good (A quick comparison would be a Miyazaki with Advent Children Graphics) but then anytime they release anything it comes out as something I could barely relate to with a half the movie in musical and the other half as crud angst mush. I won’t deny that I liked them at one point but now they’re just like Nintendo, always settling for half-polished gems. I’m not saying they’re wrong by approaching the industry in all hopes of raking in profits, but I just wished they’d do something above average every now and then that would make even heartless people like me interested.
Hmmm… yeah if you look at it that way the new ones are slipping into the dark pit of profit hungering hounds, but sadly we can’t do much against that so we sould just accept how they are and get along… But yeah a new born classic would be nice.
I was talkin aboot the Disney ones, Spirited away was cool I’d say.
Nausicaa was just nice, I liked it even as a kid… to understand that I find it a bit hard to understand as a kid and I mostly don’ like shows like that. But she was different.
Personally I think that editing something for propriety is alright so long as the unedited version is also provided. Shakespeare wouldn’t have had such a strong revival in the 1800s if it weren’t for the Bowlder versions after all.
True and yeah I just remembered a fact about editing stories. I bet almost all of us knows the Cinderella right? Well as far as I heard the original story was a bit too… bloody and had to be edited for childern. If it was the Grimms or someone else I don’ know, but it’s true.
So yeah I agree that sometimes changes have to be made. (But butchery is still a crime against art.) :p
All of the Brother’s Grimm’s stories were edited for gore. Frog prince? He had to be splattered against the wall and killed. Red Riding Hood? The wolf had to be cut open to pull her out, and then was sewed back shut. Rapunzel? She was scalped while being pregnant. Why would Cinderella be any different?
And honestly, who would tell such a thing to their children today?
The Red Ridinghood was like that when I was a kid, it wasn’t disturbing for me so don’ know where’s the prob.
But yeah old stories have more gore then the ones today… wierd. XP
I think providing both edited and unedited versions of a film is a workable compromise for a house divided. Though I can’t say that editing films is something I approve of having an unedited version at least shows that the company does care about the original work.
Is it just me or does joey have a footstool/footrest. . . Augh! “Anything that raises his leg”. It seems kind of odd that his knee is visible while Lester’s isn’t.
The giant tub of popcorn backs this statement up otherwise it should have tilted to the other side, and he can’t cross his legs unless he has a phasing ability.
The 2-fingered hands also creeping me out. . .
Also, I know it’s rushed but are the ears that big before?
If that’s a human-sized seat, and their legs are pet-scale, then they’re likely not long enough to hang over the edge anyway. So the “footrest” is the seat.
Also makes me think that Peanut and Grape have a pet-sized couch.
Oooh I see it. I though that was his arm on a. . eh. . Something.
Anyways look at panel 4 for clarifications about their height. The metal plate to swinging doors is usually elbow level.
AS for the couch. . If you look at …/2009/09/28/stranger-danger/ and …/2008/12/25/housepets-christmas-edition/ it confirms your pet-sized couch theory as the two couches are different.
As further reference, Miles is about five-thirds of Peanut …/2009/10/21/puppy-power/ and …/2009/09/28/stranger-danger/ shows that Miles is roughly Mr. Sandwich’s height.
well it would make as much sense as the rest of it lol
honestly i’ve never seen the appeal for that show, the fact that the kid yugi never got to play the card game…ever……but was instead being constently possesed by a million year old pharoah was actually kinda freaky, i think people would hate it if i started to turn into hades god of the underworld over a game of top trumps lol
Sorry I’m a nerd with these kinds of things, but he DID play a few times and also the pharaoh later on just helped him not controlled Yugi and just to make it worst… pharaohs were not a million years ago even if they have those millenium things with them. Sorry. XD
But still I understand what ya mean man.
@Hyper: Point there man, I never collected YGO card, I only bought one set and that was WAY more then enough. So can’t know really what kinds are there. XD
@Rocket: That’s cool, for me egsagerating is one of my many flaws. X) Hehe “Get ready to Shuel!” Sorry that was in my stomach and I kinda felt bad. >_<"
The extent of Joey’s eyepatch seems inconsistent. It probably should be wider and completely around his eye even when he’s mad, but this isn’t the first time it’s been drawn as a partial circle so I can’t really say it’s off-model.
Just editing the shape and lines of the eye itself to compensate for the eyebrow, merging eye and brow within the eyepatch. Although it might be hard to notice when Joey’s left side is further in (panel 1,3) as he has a forelock, but in the opposite situation (panel 4) it would really be noticeable.

Yeah I know alot of these movies, but even the previews? Now that’s odd, I always loved previews, sometimes even more then the actual thing. XD
BTW as long as ppl stick to what they can do there aren’t any problems with Disney or animes, only when they try to mix them by force. XP
HÁH! I love this vid, had to watch it over and over at the first time I got to it. XD
But yeah I hate those cut scenes as well. :p
Still better when they just blow the whole plot with telling the ending: “…so the murderer is none other then Colonel Mustard!!! DUN-DUNn-duuuunnn” Bad joke but true. XD
Huh… so you gave Joey’s creepy friend a name, eh? And what better name than Lester, a very creepy name indeed. (no offense to all of the Lesters out there, although I’m sure that nothing that I can say will make you any less angry with me)
I can relate to that last panel… many times. With previews, the actual movie, and straight to video productions. Both foreign and domestic types of films!
WHY? Why must you influence our children’s minds with previews which don’t even corrolate to their generation and damage the good name of anime with 4kids? *shoots lazer*
Over-react much? Sadly, I know a lot of people do that. Joey sure has interesting friends. No wonder he has experience in drawing to the point his cyborg dog was awesome to behold.
Didn’t you know? DISNEY OWNS YOUR SOUL!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAA!
We must REBEL!
Never gonna happen. Not as long Mikey and multimillions of dollars in jobs still stand in the way.
Now’s a good time to tip PETA off that Mickey Mouse is in fact a mouse being worked by the film corporation.
I dunno…working for Disney seem enough of a punishment already…
disny USED 2 beh good naow der just stupid with all dat hanna montana and jonas brothers stuff it’z so anoyin DX
What doess that make me?

Disney hasn’t been the same since Tad Stones left the Disney Afternoon.

NOOOOO! Not Disney! Aaaargh!
Joey looks, strange viewed at that angle.
I agree, he looks. . . aged, somewhat. .
it’s his ears. They are big enough to be used as parachutes!

Kudos to whoever guessed it be joey and his friends. Good thing it was just a preview.
shudders
The scary thing is, Joey seems rather sane compared to his friend in this strip..

…I’m scared… 3:
That’s why he used to be called Joey’s creepy friend
Me! Me! What did I win?
Not a one-off; a new arc! Uh-oh…
New character too! Lester… wonder if he’ll get around to playing guitar with another character named Chester?
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/09/23/subbed-stands-for-with-subtlety/ <– Lester's second appearance
Ah. O.K., I remember that one but I thought it was just generally “Joey’s friends”.
Dang I actually forgot aboot that part. :O

Actually it’s the third, though you might not remember because he was actually HAPPY here.

Lester doubled “have” in that first panel there.
Rick’s been informed.
But you just have to have two halves!
…wait…
Yay Joey arc! also lol Lester is mad at the previews
In fact, Joey looks completely different.
Another Style change?
I think its the jaw… look in past comics joey’s jaw line is more rounded.
Or perhaps we haven’t seen Lester in this style before. Did he appear before the style change or after? And probably it’s a closer up view as well.
No, Lester’s last appearance is in this style.
I think it’s the eyes; they seem larger then before
they’re anime fans, they probly have those eye widening contacts in
Or maybe today was rushed since I had a D&D game and it got a little off-model
There you go stomping on people’s exotic theories again. Tut tut.
that’s Rick-Daddy for you! Tu-tuummm!
ai thot it wuz “Rick the all mighty overlord”
Rick’s the Great Kitsune’s Avatar!
*teleports to beautiful Place*
Cripe. . .
Panel 3 Joey reminds me of Jim Carey, who knows why. .
OMG, it does! You’ve just increased my enjoyment of today’s strip two-fold!
*LOLs and gets stared at by those around him in RL*
Even though most likey I’ll be wrong.
The eyes on Joey look different to me.
Maybe rick is trying to show that Joey’s grown up? More mature?
Look a bit back at the comments. Rick says he had to rush it a bit, but I think Joey is just fine.
Ah, so we’ve a name for him now
also, CURSE YOU 4KIDS
A curse upon 4KIDS indeed.
4 kids and Disney, those two evil corporations must be destroyed
How do we know the flick isn’t Funimation?
Ugh… please don’t say that word.
I’m already over the fact that they are licensing the “Evangelion tetralogy “. But “Summer Wars”? They’re just trying to upset me.
What’s that supposed to mean? They’re not trying to ruin Evangelion as well. O_O”
But Funimation fixed the dub of Initial D and that has to count for something.
Dunno why people are upset over Disney. They do provide decently dubbed and subtitled Studio Ghibli DVDs…
(Though the song at the English version of Ponyo… *shudder*)
I think you’re thinking of BuenaVista, Intl.
Owned by Disney
People should be dissing their cartoons as well as their dubs as well. Except for TMNT. They actually made something good out of that.
I’m just gonna come out and say this, I don’t like anime
Well that’s unfortunate because Rick uses a lot of Anime themes in this comic along with American humor.
I noticed.
Panel 4 unfortunatly I can’t say that because I don’t have a life
What kind of breed is Lester anyway?
Brown.
/trollface
But Ninja Princess is a SEGA game.
I knew someone would find that
Hey, if Pork-Thigh Chun Li can get one. . .
huh… *googles*… hmm, looks moderately cool. except that the main character looks chinese, and her weapons appear to be swastikas.
BTW,

Glad to be of service!
Wait, did the door close? I’m still on board!
Improbable!
Wait, wasn’t it ported to the DS as well? Or is that another Ninja princess game?
Is it just me or is this a reference to that new movie “alpha and omega”?

Ramen to that. (as the pastafarians might say)
Though, technically, two of the films you referenced (Lion King and Princess and the Frog) were done well after Walt’s death.
Still, ya, Disney films are awesome, as are Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli films.
i love america and japan, they bothe have amazing movies, but they also have theire fair shair of crap shacks. I’m a fan of it all, so i just play each movie and show by ear, then check it out for myself, then give it a thumbs up or down.

Me too since I usually watch movie in a home theater, and I usually don’t have choosing rights.
I’m with you man, but I normaly never see a bad preview. Even BAD films like G.I. JOE have an awesome preview… that’s what I’d say at least. :p
even if said preview was of……A ROBOCOP MOVIE!! DUN dun duuuun

Okay, I’m gonna stop now before I get in trouble.
what about third panel lesters face?…………………………………you know what never mind….
So is this going to be a Joey-and-hid-friends arc or is it going to be a bunch of vignettes like the them park arc?
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a little story of how Joey convinces Lester to see the film, and then their reaction to the film.
But I’m likely wrong.
Nor will I be surprised if Lester ends up becoming a 100-foot mecha and shoots a laser at Disney. . . (*cue dalonewolf25*)
Peanut should offer Lester a walk-on in the adventures of Spot. For a consideration.
But will Lester agree? Peanut’s American.
Would he miss a chance to show how to adapt Manga for the American audience the right way?
If he’s half as good as Joey and would put lines on paper for free then I think it could cross to reality
Whut? What did i miss?
Nor will I be surprised if Lester ends up becoming a 100-foot mecha and shoots a laser at Disney. . . (*cue dalonewolf25*)
hmm, I’ll see what I can do, but if you zoom in my profile pic, you shall see disney world, well, what’s left of it anyways…

It’s a cycle, about every 5 years it’s “the year of the anime revolution” all over again. How weird is Lester if Joey’s playing the straight guy to his antics? This is going to get good.
Ah my bad.
3) He’s a Dachshund (I think), and everyone knows Hotdogs likes to eat hotdogs.
iz ah dachshund ah taipe uv dog or sumthin
Assuming this is a serious question and you’re not doing this just to sound faux german…
…the dachshund (better known as the “wiener dog”) is a breed of dog with short legs, a long snout, and a very long, sausage-shaped body.
oh ok anf yeah ai wuz serious ^.^
Oh no, you’re right! HE’S RIIIIIGHT!!!
*runs away screaming*
Yeah this’ll be a funny arc if it goes on like th… oh WAIT! What if the whole story goes on with Lester being locked up in the toilet and Joey trying to get him out of there? :O Now THAT would be a laugh. XD
It would also be very hard to draw (honestly, try it: how many different panels can you have if you only have 1 character to work with?)
Many many avatars!
No points in arguing now, right?.
Make that first 50, just barely. Wow. O.O;
Ah don’t worry, it’s actually not that bad. A lot of premier commentators have been missing lately, god knows why. . .
School started and they don’ have as much time then before? I sure had that prob for the last few months cuz of my summer job. :p
High school and College AT THE SAME TIME.
DX
How does THAT work? O_O”
Oh, and since “Joey’s Creepy Friends” is what category Lester falls under, Rick, you might want to either tag this with that, too, or just make Lester an entry in the cast page (which you might as well, if he’s going to be an important character to this arc). Shuttin’ up now.
Agreed on that man.
From what I gathered, Rick doesn’t like updating the cast page.
This is my reaction to movie previews as well.
(Now THERE’S a lost art.)
Just so long as you use gaikokujin instead of gaijin.
Lol
Ok… (>人<;)
Er.. ok? I really dont see how “jap” offends anyone .0. it doesn’t offend me =w= But as you wish, i wont use that anymore~
It was often used as a racial slur during the World War II era, and still has a lot of the same connotations today.
heeeeeeh… history lesson~ \o/
Yep, I felt like that about some movies. I hope the Ranger’s Apprentice movie won’t be like this. 0_0
I can’t watch that movie. I won’t.
I went out on a limb and watched “The Lightning Thief” at my cousin’s house…
THEY BUTCHERED IT SO HARD.
SO. UNBELIEVABLY. HARD.
IT WAS LIKE THEY GAINED SOME SORT OF SICK, TWISTED ENJOYMENT FROM IT.
Actually, though, it would have been okay had I not read the books. Meh.
… gender confusing barks… ???
Cui?
Uhh, most movies with dogs have these very high pitched barks and hearing dogs bark in real life, it makes me wonder if the dog features in the movie were who they claim they were.
neutered mascot
?
The voice acting’s worse than actual gender confused people.
Oh, bother, another accidental moderation.
And what’s with all these Argent avatars? You’re taunting me!
My eyes should be darker than that.
I told you to adjust the fur pattern
Darker is eye then.
It’s my fault I’m a coffee cup, but what can I do? I adore
Argent MiltonKeene Stonecutter very much. So, anyway, to get back to the point, I didn’t think the gender of dogs made much difference to their bark… so I’m still at sea.
And a little tweak to the neck…
In short they should stick to theri own stuff and do what they know they can do right. Agreed with you I am Inu.
@Hyper: I don’ know, when it comes to Disneys original works I’d say they’re alright the way they are. So as long as they don’ wanna mess up the works of others they’re fine with me.
Original as in the ones on 19XX?
Spirited Away wasn’t awesome enough for you, I take it
Nausicaa was more awesome.
That’s why I made her glider in Second Life.
I was talkin aboot the Disney ones, Spirited away was cool I’d say.
Nausicaa was just nice, I liked it even as a kid… to understand that I find it a bit hard to understand as a kid and I mostly don’ like shows like that. But she was different.
How do you even read that? Nineteen Exidy-ex?
Nineteen execs.
You could read it as nineteen twenty if you’re half roman, but make it twenties because it’s three more years before the company was even founded.
These guys? http://www.explosm.net/comics/2177/
Isn’t that a remake of a Corporal Reyes joke?
The Red Ridinghood was like that when I was a kid, it wasn’t disturbing for me so don’ know where’s the prob.
But yeah old stories have more gore then the ones today… wierd. XP
I think providing both edited and unedited versions of a film is a workable compromise for a house divided. Though I can’t say that editing films is something I approve of having an unedited version at least shows that the company does care about the original work.
Is it weird that this makes me think of that one episode of that one show where they tried to ban Michelangelo’s David because it was inappropriate?
Well, the first thought was some… modifications… that might have been made.
Lastly, is that a “Dollar” tag on Lester?
If that’s a human-sized seat, and their legs are pet-scale, then they’re likely not long enough to hang over the edge anyway. So the “footrest” is the seat.
Also makes me think that Peanut and Grape have a pet-sized couch.
How do you explain Lester?
I doubt he’s taller/longer because if you look at http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/09/23/subbed-stands-for-with-subtlety/ you can see Joey’s way larger than Lester.
Ah, right. . . Shorter legs.
Lester’s got his legs crossed. You can see his paw.
Didn’t Rick say that they are about the size of human children?
You know I always forget most people are already much shorter than me
I’ve been told I have the same problem, but I don’t think I’m particularly tall.
lol his tags a YU-GI-OH card!
Never saw a green YGO(can’t get myself to say it sorry XP) card before, but ya could be right.
well it would make as much sense as the rest of it lol
honestly i’ve never seen the appeal for that show, the fact that the kid yugi never got to play the card game…ever……but was instead being constently possesed by a million year old pharoah was actually kinda freaky, i think people would hate it if i started to turn into hades god of the underworld over a game of top trumps lol
You? Gee. . . Oh! Imitation Holographic Cards!?!?!
Sorry can’t help but remember those times I actually saw a green YGO card.
Quoting random brat: “Oh look, mine’s all shiny and it has a different color. It must mean it’s very rare.”
Then the next day everybody had one.
Anyways, I was thinking it may be a DnD card? Does DnD have cards?
lol thats ok man but as you can see egsagerating is a hobby of mine
DnD cards wouldn’t surprise me, you could get a shoe trading card game these days lol WOW check out my leather loafers! ha! i counter with sketchers!
Get ready to shuel…………rofl you sir/madam deserve a cookie lol that was epic pun!
YAAAY My pun is accepted!!!
BTW I’m a guy so thx. X)
Maybe it’s a tag that was never sold in America? I mean, look at this trading card:
http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/card332.jpg
There are some seriously wierd things in the TCG industry!
Ouch, never saw somethin like that before. XP
Point there man.
Hurry up in there! You’re not the only one who need to use the toilet, and I’m not in the mood to drink.
But I’m really depressed! I need to drown my sorrows away!
The extent of Joey’s eyepatch seems inconsistent. It probably should be wider and completely around his eye even when he’s mad, but this isn’t the first time it’s been drawn as a partial circle so I can’t really say it’s off-model.
Just like King!
Or us!
I tried getting my forelock right but my gimp-fu isn’t powerful enough.
I’m not exactly sure how to do the patch with the eyebrows; I just try to make the brow the top boundary of the patch.
This is just what I think, maybe you did this unconsciously or it could be intentional, but I think this is what Argent was referring to:
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2010/02/26/doghouse-rules/
Just editing the shape and lines of the eye itself to compensate for the eyebrow, merging eye and brow within the eyepatch. Although it might be hard to notice when Joey’s left side is further in (panel 1,3) as he has a forelock, but in the opposite situation (panel 4) it would really be noticeable.
Again this is just my opinion.
theres a dog in the mens room
ooo nooo …. and it’s a walking tog .. with thumbs and everything ….
you get awesome point’s for that comment, cause it made me lol
lol cheers mate!
and here i thought animals would not be allowed into movie theaters.
maybe joey’s dog house has a movie theater in it………among other things…
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2008/07/30/hey-dude/
it would possibly make sense
The end of that link put “Hey Jude” back into my head.
I will now spend a billion years trying to get it back out.
Pet-friendly neighborhood?
Besides, a customer is a customer right?
Plus… these… animals… CAN TALK! How about them apples?
Oh and they also walk and act somewhat like people. :p
how true.
pet-friendly neighborhood
pets who get allowances in money
pets who can spend money for books at the conventions
pets who can go in an ice cream store and buy ice cream
pets who can go on a romantic date to see Pridelands
So why shouldn’t they go to a movie theater?
Once again all points go to you man. XD
touche
“pets who can go on a romantic date to see Pridelands”
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/08/26/well-why-didnt-you-say-so/
Panel 4, it’s the theater’s second appearance!
Yeah I know alot of these movies, but even the previews? Now that’s odd, I always loved previews, sometimes even more then the actual thing. XD
BTW as long as ppl stick to what they can do there aren’t any problems with Disney or animes, only when they try to mix them by force. XP
They always blow the best shots on the trailers.
You even get scenes in the previews that don’t make it into the movie.
http://www.cracked.com/video_18156_a-trailer-every-academy-award-winning-movie-ever.html
XD
Some movies are inherently spoilered. Titanic, for example. What, you don’t know that the ship sinks?
“Tough. You should know this already!”
–TVtropes.org
You’re taunting CalaverX11.
Hey, it was Titanic (adj.) but not Titan (iceberg) enough.
I’m over my addiction, thank you. I’m not due for another relapse for a few more weeks.
Okaaaaaaay?
I actually know people like this.
What a great concept! Movie reviewing through comic strip! Love it!
Huh… so you gave Joey’s creepy friend a name, eh? And what better name than Lester, a very creepy name indeed. (no offense to all of the Lesters out there, although I’m sure that nothing that I can say will make you any less angry with me)
I conquer…some anime fans can be this crazy ^^; I should know, I am a Japanophile
lesters tag is all awesome and stuff! cool.
also go anime!
You are nobody I know, yet you’re somebody you know. Is there any corrolation to this nonsense? If so, you must be erradicated!
*Points sniper rifle*
oh no!
Wait!
So it was dubbed by 4Kids?
I am a huge fan of anime, but this would kind of be over doing it.
Drama queen much?
…Nipponophiles?
He’s saying he’s obsessed with Japan. “Nippon” is how you say “Japan” in Japanese.
Since “Japan” is a word used by the non-Nihonjin Pekoponjin(s).
Oh, I know that. But, nipponophile’s a word?
worst thing ever – pokemon english translation-
however, the latin spanish version of team rocket is really funny.
-4kids, the butchers of truth-
i liked the spanish translation i the very old chapters, but the new ones the voices were annoying >:(
well, I grew up with the pokemon english translation, so I like it over the original.
Complete opposite as I grew up with the pokemon english translation and gained an instantaneous channel switching reflex at any sign of it.
I don’t even know who 4kids is.
4kids translated some animes like pokemon and yu-gi-oh to spanish and english
It’s a channel section that appears in Fox Channels on Saturday Mornings. USA.
I envy you (shudder)
sonic X still haunts me………..DARN YOU CHRIS THORNDYKE!!
So… I take it they committed worse sins than casting Frank Welker for every sidekick.
let’s just say if you have a tv show who’s dignity you DON’T want desicrated these are people you should steer clear from…
assuming said tv show had any dignity to begin with………
….
….
thats right sonic x i’m glaring at you!
What are you saying? Frank Welker is cool. He was the ORIGINAL Megatron.
Since then all his roles sucked.
Same here, though I get an idea how evil it is with the other comments.
At least I now know who to blame for some of the nightmarish nights I had.
Looks like we’re getting a Joey arc, since I don’t see “one-off.” HOORAY!! I’m a HUGE joey fan, and somewhere in my id I’ve been waiting for this.
When did Lester pop into the scene?
As his own character?
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/09/23/subbed-stands-for-with-subtlety/
but he was unnamed back then; the tag used was “Joey’s creepy friends”
I can relate to that last panel… many times. With previews, the actual movie, and straight to video productions. Both foreign and domestic types of films!
I feel for Lester.
What do you feel ? do you feel sad for him ? or do you just wanna say right in his face OwNeD ? well yar choice eh X3
WHY? Why must you influence our children’s minds with previews which don’t even corrolate to their generation and damage the good name of anime with 4kids? *shoots lazer*
Because.
. . it’s. .
. . . money. . .
Light amplification by Zillions of emissions of radiation?
He has a name now, sweet!
LAWL
Over-react much? Sadly, I know a lot of people do that. Joey sure has interesting friends. No wonder he has experience in drawing to the point his cyborg dog was awesome to behold.
Can it be? It’s a JOEY ARC!!
Oh Jo(e)y!
And that’s how a million of people felt after watching M.Nights Avatar the Last Airbender
A thousand tiny knives?
I’m wondering, if Lester also roleplay, but worse than Joey…
Well, we know he plays D&D
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/06/19/fast-learner/
Yep, and he preffer sub’s to translations
http://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/09/23/subbed-stands-for-with-subtlety/
Sometimes his opinion is a valid one! But it should be formed later in the process. *giggles*
boom chica wowow
Anything with Disney previews is probably not going to be too watchable.
Three words can sum up my reasoning:
Home Alone 4
You know it’s true.
