At Argent Stonecutter: Oh, I don’t know; instantiated words are pretty concrete.
I think Argent’s referring to how certain object-oriented programming languages refer to the calling object itself. To put it lightly, if an object has a variable x and you need to use it in a function that is also within the object, you need to call it as “this.x”
Therefore, “this” is not instantiated (you can’t know what it refers to until the program has to actually execute that part of the code)

Extrapolation is when you use a graph or table to predict something not given within the range of data. For instance, the graph in the link only shows 2 days, but that guy is predicting a few months from now.

Extrapolation won’t mean anything to most English speakers, unless they’ve taken some sort of higher math course (or paid attention in highschool).
It comes from the Latin extra (to put more) and polate (to polish-up), which means it’s usually the same word in other languages. It’s wierd that they call it differently in Hungary. :-S
Actually… I’m almost done my first year at high school… so I don’t know about any “higher math courses” XD
In short, by the time people see extrapolation again in college, they’ve usually forgotten it. Lucky you, you paid attention, and now you know it was important!

Yup! White chocolate is perfectly safe for dogs. It’s not made from the same stuff as normal chocolate. But I’d assume Rick added in the “dog-safe” part because many people don’t know that.

white chocolate is chocolate, and contains cocoa butter, and as such, still contains some bromine, which is the part of cocoa that is dangerous to dogs, however, it is a low enough quantity that a little bit will not usually hurt a healthy dog (but an old or sick dog can be harmed by it). the do make white carob, which tastes something like chocolate, but is completely safe.
on that note, older versions of white chocolate, before regulations were introduced, would probably be looked at as a very unhealthy white carob, as it didn’t actually contain any of the ingredients found in cocoa, and around Easter time there are still white Easter bunnies that are made of a carob – like material (it will say white chocolate flavored, check the ingredients anyways to be safe).
I wonder if King got her anything. They seemed pretty cozy at christmas.

if I had to rate myself on the insanity meter, 1 – 10, 1 being boringly simple, 10 being totally bonkers, I’d rate myself as a healthy 15… but doing so probably drops me to a nice 6, because I’m well aware of my insanity.

I think It’s more what her dad does with it than what she does with it. After all, we know he’s the kind to lock her out during Christmas. That, and “the back shed” probably belongs to him, and he’s going to want to use it at some point in the year.

Okay, two things that still bug me:
1. Is the Bon~ a cut-off word? What does it mean? Where is it from?
2. Is there really a store called Wallgreens? Or is it some kind of environmentalist version of Wallmart that Rick invented?
1 bon could be just a cute tag on word, it could be a shortened version of the french worn bonbon, which means candy, and I doubt it has anything to do with he Buddhist festival by that name which honors the dead. my bet is on the cute, appraisal like sound we so often make o our pets for no reason at all.

it’s like a corner drug store; these kinds of places normally sell stuff other than just drugs and are likely to keep them in stock a little longer, as fewer people visit them for things other than medicines and seasonal / holiday / birthday cards.

Bonbon hypothesis is almost certainly correct, as she’s talking about Fox giving her (white) chocolate, which can be considered as candy.
1. “Bon” is French for “good,” although I’m not really sure if Sasha is using it correctly. Given her ditzy character even if she’s not it wouldn’t be out of character.
2. Walgreen’s is an actual chain of pharmacy/grocery stores in the United States and its territory Puerto Rico. They are quite a common slight actually, even a medium-sized US city could have 2-4 of them.
Also my first time commenting, love the comic. It’s amazing the cast of likeable characters that it has built up in its short run.
3. Walgreens has nothing to do with Walmart. It was founded by Charles R. Walgreen, though there’s an urban legend that the founder’s name was Wallace Green.

Ahh… This reminds me of the lovely dog i had once (An awesome tervuren
). Anyways, with that, i could lay a tomato – somehow it’s favourite thing to eat :S – on both of it’s front paws and nose. Tell it that it was mine, and then it could lie watching it for minutes :d But when i let it eat them, it never knew what to eat first… Also took quite a time, because it wouldn’t drop any of them… Lovely stupid dogs
