Therefore Truecrypt itself is basically unbreakable. On the other hand, it is possible to use viruses that corrupt the boot record or that create a virtual machine to get raw access to the hard drive. But such sophisticated hacks seem unlikely to happen when you’re not on FBI’s top 10 list or something.
