Max: “Erm… I’m a cat. Didn’t you know we *always* land like this?”
That landing will have the subtlety of a meteorite. Perhaps if Grape attempted to land like that, it might not make a sound.

True, you can’t beat the “Epic Meteor Landing” when it comes to an awesome entrance. Although the “Graceful Ninja Landing” is equally epic if you add swirling rose petals or something similar. if you do both at the same time, it can be a “His and Hers” ordeal. :3

Seems like Grape and Tarot are almost on the same page as far as pointing out mistakes goes, but Tarot is such a killjoy!
I’m also wondering if both Max and Grape’s side of the story is as different as Spot/Peanut’s side? will they have to fight? i’m guessing they would be in the same boat as Spot and have the same fighting abilities as well.
Grape, you make a great straight woman in what ever duo you are apart of!

wait, wasn’t Tarot Jeijan, as well as that lioness character (forgot the name). Weird, but i guess since peanut can turn day to night in an instant, she can be in two places at once! Also the fact that it is cartoon ads to that power I guess.
Wait, ignore my last comment i wasn’t paying attention, Tarot was the hyena not the lioness, but still…
Tarot is “guiding a little bit of everyone”. That means she’s moving (puppeteering?) the army, the guard from a few strips back, keeping track of all the environment effect, but at the same time is playing Jeijan and Saso (apparently alternating between the two)
Actually, I think Tarot is playing Saso and Jeijan at the same time.
It would help fill in the plotholes that are created when we change scenes, as it would mean Tarot had been helping along both Max and Grape *ahem-excuse me* Lord Parnok and Princess Illaya and Spot (superdog) AKA Peanut.
Well, maybe. I’m basing myself on the fact that she had to fly away when Spot went to the cellar where Saso was. Your logic is not too farfeched, though.
I suspect Tarot is probably concentrating on one persona at a time, at the very least.
You know that sound that plays when a Looney Tunes cartoon irises out? That’s basically what happened in my head when the sun fell and the moon shown. XD
Merry Go Round Broke Down, the Anvil Chorus, or the “Power Plant” music I forget the name of that featured in the episode with the hummingbird?
Those are all played at the beginning, Argent (with the exception of the “powerplant music” which I can’t recall right now); “Iris out” refers the closing circle at the end. I think he means the song that goes something like G♯, G♯, G♯, A♯, C (The A being higher than the G, and being sustained twice as long). The most memorable performance (or at least, memorable to me) was done by Bugs Bunny on a fiddle at the end of Hillybilly Hare.
A similar song was used in Duck Amuck during the zoom-in from the middle of the sea, to Daffy’s eyes; I think that’s the one he actually meant to refer to
I’m pretty sure the classic Looney Tunes ending theme was also taken from The Merry Go Round Broke Down. I’ve been listening to the official Warner track and the original jazz version and it sure sounds to me like it’s in there.

The castle may not be vulnerable to fire, but what about the furniture, decorations, and support beams inside? Lob enough incendiaries into the castle, and that the castle walls won’t burn isn’t going to be that much of a concern. Stone doesn’t burn under normal conditions, but it does serve as oven insulation quite nicely, so anyone inside will get roasted even if not even a lick of flame touches them.
Of course, the key words are “enough incendiaries”. Not something I’d expect to be kept readily at hand by your average African(ish) war tribe. (Of course, Africa isn’t well known for European-style stone castles, either.
)

this time im making an actual comment… an army of bowmen really dont need to see their target…just point in the air of the direction of the general target… it then rains down arrows and… well you do the math if like 100 bowmen are shooting like 1 arrow every 2 seconds and they have a total of 2500 arrows and it takes the arrows around 5 seconds to reach the ground and is spread over an area of 2000 sq ft, how long would it take and what are the chances theyd hit someone? .-. also consider that 15 of the bowmen suck and miss 20% of the time, while 10 could probably shoot 2 at a time, really someone smart answer that >_>

Also, after what just happened, I won’t be surprised if the weapon changes as well as the time of the day.
I don’t think any army got 30 shots per minute from the longbow, 8-12 was more typical.

Took me an instant to realize Max had simply gotten the lighting to change (I thought they had waited until nighfall) but once you get it, it’s hilarious!

Yes she is. She create the game and doesn’t like to be told her obvious mistake. To me, she looks a lot like a dungeon master of a tabletop rpg. She moves everyone and plays all the major npc. Afterall, play-believe is a lot like a basic rpg.

Not really related, but is it possible Tarot (Jeijan) can be knocked out by her puppets? I doubt it, because she’d probably make sure none of them got in harm’s way, but it’d be interesting to see the chaos that would ensue.
Or even if Tarot just lost control of the projections. Like if Pete took over or something.
Wait, I thought this was pretend? When Max says, “the studio lighting is a nice touch,” does that mean that this is all a huge Hollywood-style set? I guess being an actor is a bit like pretend for adults, as you’re pretending something is there that is not, or will be once the SFX are put in.
