I guess here’s where I run my algorithm from yesterday and say “Yay! Grape!”
How many strips/panels now has it been since we last seen these two together?
Since November 25th. Scratch that, we didn’t actually “see” them; it’s too dark. November 23rd then. Not counting the New Years and Valentine’s day specials, we can find out by counting the number of weeks, times 3, plus 1 (November 23rd was a Monday)
It’s been 12 weeks, so 37 strips.
Wow! The last two arcs have been looong!
But they were worth it.
Wow! That’s to many for me. They should go on another crazy adventure with pie and other cool stuff. Totally awesome that their back though.
My bad. It’s actually been 10 weeks (remember the “Peanuuuuut!” strip on December 7th?) So 31 strips. Hey, that doesn’t seem so long! It must be only a month in comic time.
Eh, what’re you talking about? We saw “Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly Sandwich” but a few strips ago!

Jim Davis helped pioneer the snarky comic protagonist before most of us could read or were even alive. He may have since lost steam and started writing out-of-date and rehashed humor, but back in the day he was quite important to the medium.
…So, are they eating cereal or dry pet food?
I’m afraid that Peanut’s plan, although it sounds fantastic, would get old after a while.
It would be fun for a while, though!

Oh come on, Peanut. Only you can capture the brilliance of your own story. Pencil to paper isn’t suppose to include a middle man.
Unless that middle-man is the pencil’s lead. You should always follow the lead’s lead.
Seems to me Peanut is still stuck wondering where the middle road is between feedback and developing. However, he seems to want to be credited during the development stage. Of course, i’m not buying it =3
If i were to take a guess, i would say he’s actually looking for a special kind of reviewer or audience in his case to get feedback from.
can you say, “possible opportunity for introduction of new character to act as peanut’s biggest fan/ editor, or for a current character to fill the roll”?

In the first panel misread Peanut’s comments for saying, “Okay so, who is writing these stories”. For a moment Rick I thought they were on to you! They must NEVER know…

So, what is that? If comic characters doing impossible things is breaking the fourth wall, is that tearing it down? Or have we possibly found a new dimension – the fifth wall!?
sorry, this is just dimensional hopping. It’s no different than what Nightcrawler does.
you know that just for that I want to draw a comic that entails actions that readers comment, in exactly that way… of course, the usual taboo ground wold be taboo, but it would at the very least get the readers involved XD.
I’d suggest just writing reviews of your work, or introductions to it, but Stanislaw Lem already did those (A Perfect Vacuum and Imaginary Magnitude) and you don’t want to be derivative.
I’m still boggling over the feud between Lem and Philip K. Dick. Boggle. Boggle boggle.
I miss those guys T_T kinda makes me wonder how Fido and King are doing ._.

How come it feels like they’ve grown an older look to theirselves?
It tends to be inevitable when you’re drawing: changing the look over time. Look at the first Tom and Jerry cartoons, where Tom (Jasper) was a fuzzy kitten and Jerry (Jinx) was a wide-eyed extreemly cute little mouse. Over time, with the excuse of streamlining the animation, they started seeming older. Tom became taller and slimmer and Jerry, while remaining cute, became also capable of extreemely malicious expressions, once some eyelashes and such were dropped from the drawing.
My first theory is that everything around you in the real world ages, so if you have something you took as reference, even subconsciously, once you look at it again, you unwittingly adapt your drawing.
My second theory is basically how the greek letters evolved into the latin alphabet: when you do the same symbol over and over again and in a rush, you start shortening certain lines, rounding out others, and adding edges where there weren’t edges before, with the purpose of conveying the symbol understandably, and still end your rush.

What the heck is “oneth”?!
Fifth is the ordinal for “five”. Fourth is the ordinal for “four”. The correct ordinal for “one” is a forbidden word, so I’ve used “oneth” in its place
That word became forbidden because of stupid people who would jump in as soon as the comic updated and type “!”, didn’t it?
sry, that was supposed to be “forbidden word!” but the system thought of it as a command because I put ” around it.
well, they kinda have. animals age quicker than humans (you know, seven dog years to one year), and we haven’t seen them in a while. or it could be that you just forgot what they look like, because i don’t see it

There are so many things that could be said about this,
But I think it can be agreed that all writers wished there’re audience ALREADY KNEW what they were talking about AHEAD OF TIME…so that there would be no confusion when they explained it on paper (or screen?).
Not sure how to say this, but the sentence itself is an example of that. -__-

I know Peanut, put your comic on the internet! Then you can get as much commentary as you could possibly want on it.
Of course, if you put up panels involving more obscure characters you may get people grumbling about missing the ‘main’ characters and complaining about a dull plot line, and suggesting you get back to crazy hi-jinks involving Spot and his non-cat girlfriend or Spot’s corgi sidekick instead of developing other characters or trying different plots…

you know, if someone knew what you were thinking before you did anything with it, they could steal it and call it their own, right?, and if everyone you wanted to present the idea to already knew what the idea was they’d be bored of it, because it’s too expected.
