I would like to know, what sorts of features should I be expanding towards getting?

Merchandise: I have a design on Vistaprint, and recently made some shirts for me and a few friends, as part of my birthday present. This is the only thing I could think of off the top of my head, and if I sold them they would likely be 20 or 25 dollars each. Anything else? Stickers? Buttons? Vistaprint does a few different kinds of things.

Message Board: How about it? These comments sections are getting rather large, but I still think I’m a bit small to have my own message board. Any other comics with a message board up for sharing, or possibly sharing?

Anything Else: What do you think?

If you do get a message board, don’t let it replace comments. Having them contextually located right at the comic as you are viewing it makes it much more likely people will actually comment, and lets viewers read them as they go through the archive.

I think a message box would be a great thing! Just don’t get rid of the comments! I like the idea of t-shirts, metal buttons big and small, and mabey even a mini poster, but please try not make the stuff to expensive… XD Marketing would be a great addition! Love the comic!

Message boards are fun, but I feel there are too much of them. And you get to use trackbacks if you use WordPress comments. Not that I’ve seen much people use TrackBack and PingBack…

Well… only if you want to make and maintain a community around Housepets! I guess…

As for merchandise… Grape Butter Sandwich fursuit! I’d love to wear her skin. Nyahaha! Nah, not really.

Comments and message boards can’t really be compared appropriately. They tend to each attract their own, different form of response to the comment. It’s probably best to have both. Though then, as for message boards, they’re more community-based than other things. It would be useful if we were able to reply to comments, that’s probably the main reason I’d want a message board.

Shirts would be good and possibly attract money that paypal wouldn’t bring. Grape Jelly and Peanut Butter plushies would be amazing, but Vistaprint is prolly just printing. Maybe keychains are a possibility? I’d certainly get one. Er, if I had any money, that is. Dx

Well lots of people loved our shirts at the con so you should probably sell those at least. :3

Hi… First time comment for this short time reader ^^ Love the comic, it’s a ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day.
Okay as for selling, I think Ebly’s idea of key chains is a good one, maybe in the shapes of Grape Jelly and Peanut Butter’s collar tags and the plushie idea would be ace if you could manage it. igorixx also had a good idea with the posters.
Perhaps you could sell prints of comics and maybe even a mouse mat based on the current Mouse Revolution comics as an idea. It’s still a bit soon to be talking an actually book but how about a sketch/note book with Peanut’s Infamous Drawing on the cover. You can also get cups and so on printed.
Try to keep it manageable and maybe have a preorder option, just to test the water and see how many units of your merchandise you can look to ship.
Anyway keep up the awesome work and put me down for a shirt or two X3

All I can think of, in the way of improving the site, is to see if you ca make the comments like the ones on DA. Other than that I can’t think of any thing to improve on.
